genuinely life-changing. especially if you can get it a little toasty under a broiler, you get that top layer of lasagne kick from the cheesy white sauce. make a divot in the cheese on top and bake the egg with the rest of the toasted sandwich and the cheese béchamel will give you an extra texture instead of the caramelised egg white if that whew is not your thing. Best thing about croque monsieurs imo is you can do it with loads of different cheeses and it makes a huge difference, and you keep the taste of the original cheese
I dont get why everyone shows the runny part of the egg like its some flex. I dont understand. I had sunny side egg like that once and it was revolting. The runny egg smells and made me gag. Does no one else not like them? Maybe its just my weird taste buds
