Great job but just a tip as a seasoned DIY myself just move the oil pan out of the way after everything has drained. Dropping the oil pan bolt and/or the new filter into the used oil sucks. Been there and done that 😂

Do you need to drain the oil from the plug before removing the oil filter?

You can do either before or after just that you always start with the drain pan

Why use 5W-30 when its written 5w-20 on oil lid

I Don't know LoL maybe it's a substitute but either way u can use them both.

The manual says:
5w-20 or 5w-30. I would use 0-20, as most of the engine wear happens at start-up.

i did my first oil change today and had the same problem, i didnt have an oil filter wrench though so it was pretty tough to get it off

It’s the valves in the top end they aren’t lubed in the first part of starting it goes away once oil gets up there
