Great video, I own the Hyundai Elantra 2013. When I do my transmission fluid changes I fill from the top. It’s slow as hell and takes about 30min to fill but it works. Watching you fill it from the bottom there is interesting. I open that only to show me if it’s fill or not. Then close and fill as needed. Is it faster to fill that way ?

    • @HowIFixedIt

@@donpepot7289 I recommend filling it through the the level plug hole. Not the top. Fill first with engine off then start vehicle. Top of remaining transmission fluid. Pumps are available at harbor freight. Cheap.

I flushed out 12 quarts during drain and fill procedure. I used manufacturers recommended transmission fluid. Part store will know exactly what you need. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍

The vehicle I worked on took a Dexron VI type. Full synthetic. Any part store employee can help you with fluid application.

Can I drain and change the transmission fluid on my Hyundai Elantra 2011 after 100,000 miles? my car sometimes wont accelerate whiles driving

Probably not the best idea to flush a slipping transmission. Unfortunately you will need a new transmission or rebuild the one in the vehicle. I’d get it properly diagnosed if possible but if it’s slipping don’t do anything but make sure it’s full. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍

For your videos, please use simple fonts, I couldn’t clearly read what fluid is required for this vehicle
