I’m from Newmarket, Ontario and I like how Windsor and even Leamington have milder climates and are more peaceful than the GTA. With the COVID situation not going away anytime soon and working from home, I am have a better desire to live there when I complete my masters. Thank you for this video!

I live in downtown Hamilton and Imma run off to Windsor if Detroit booms again in its economy. Detroit has always been a more of a historically established city compared to Toronto or Vancouver.

born and lived in Windsor for 54 years. Moved to Ottawa for work and I was glad to leave Windsor because I could not handle the humidity. It is hot and humid in the summer and even though winters are mild, they are very humid and it feels much colder as a result. I laugh when people in Ottawa complain about the humidity there. It is pretty dry in comparison to Windsor's 95% humidity. I retired in a small town near Algonquin Park. I live on a beautiful lakefront property with 50 acres. I am living the dream.

how would a humid winter make the air feel colder? I grew up in Owen Sound and find the winters in Windsor warmer than Owen Sound winters. I agree the summers in Windsor are hotter but the winters feeling colder than Ottawa sounds very suspect.
@@IARRCSim If the humidity levels are extremely high, the moisture can saturate your clothing. This leaves chilled water molecules against your skin and makes a cold environment feel even chillier. High humidity and cold weather will leave you feeling colder than if humidity levels were low. This is a scientific fact. look it up 🙂

@@midnighttrain7844 not bad. It snows and melts in 1 to 2 days. Windsor gets 1 or hardly 2 snow storms. I like this area because winter is not tough and long.

Air quality (uncontrolled air pollution from States), heat & humidity during summer months (if you have any kind of breathing problem you probably shouldn't move here).
Crime influx from neighboring city? For example Abbotsford,Chiliwak B. C which are close to border.

I live in Windsor, have my whole life. It’s a city with a small town vibe, good local restaurants, quirks that you’ll get to know. A lot of diversity and culture too. It may look a little dumpy but they’re doing a lot of work downtown

1) from my experience, it’s easy to find a job in the service industry. My brother is a nurse and he has had more than one job offer. Our local college also is extremely good with setting up students with jobs and there’s an Unemployed help centre
2) I couldn’t say
3) very low crime rates. I haven’t experienced a anything serious nor have my friends
4) I’m not sure
5) we have the WECDSB (Windsor Essex Catholic District Schoolboard) encompassing all catholic schools in the area and many public
Schools with one or two private ones. There are several high schools. One major university (Uwindsor) and one major community college (St. Clair College)
6) during covid, not much. Normally you can drive over the bridge or through the tunnel if you have a passport visit Detroit/US. Couple popular Detroit downtown spots are frequented by people in Windsor

7) we have 2 hospitals which are being combined into one mega hospital sometime in the next decade, and there are several medical centres in different ends of the city for outpatient stuff. It’s generally pretty easy to get a referral to a specialist from a family doctor or clinic. I had a major surgery done once and they sent me to London so I don’t know how great we are

aren't you realtors believe in location location location because of real estate investment growth if so, in that case, toronto should be the best location to invest in it because the investment grows faster than anywhere else.

Did you know of a place called "Garden Windsor"? It was in the downtown I think that was like an Asian vegan restaurant. Why did it close? Do you know? Wanted to go back so bad and am sad about it.....
The mayor and council put literally EVERYTHING you can think of to entice homeless addicts to live Downtown which scared most businesses off long ago.

Cashflow is good for real-estate investors but NOT good for talents. They need to pay higher compared to similar small cities and city with less jobs.

@@AdityaKumarSoma Positive cashflow is one of the cons for tenants. They are paying higher rent for a property costing a lot less compared to other parts of Ontario.

One of the cons of living in Windsor. Downtown roads or street are terrible. Needs to re asphalt all roads leading to the casino.

There are a lot of Polish and Ukrainians in Hamtramck Michigan.
YES! Eastern Europeans are a large part of the population: Former Yugoslavians, Polish, Etc.
The are Serbs and from former Yugoslavia.
Windsor is a city with a great upside especially after this pandemic subsides . It has one of the most beautiful waterfronts in Canada and is very culturally diverse ! People who don't know or understand this region and its advantages, blindly underrate and denigrate this important Canadian city ! Personally , I prefer this urban area to others of comparable size such as London , Kitchener -Waterloo and Kingston etc !

As someone who was born and raised in Windsor and been living here all my life, the city is beautiful but very boring and lack of entertainment.

As someone who works in the entertainment industry in Windsor, I can say with every certainty that you're wrong and either
A: have no genuine interest in supporting local entertainment

I have noticed when taking the bus, 1 or 2 bus drivers on my route will intentionally drive past anyone who looks foreign and give people with dark skin a hard time with fare. I have witnessed bus drivers stopping the bus and yelling at a foreign student for doing face time on their phone. I have witnessed at a bus stop a year ago, a white person yelling at a foreign student for talking on their phone. I have heard refugees being spoken about by medical professionals with a mix of disgust and horror. Where I work, I find the foreign students are spoken down to. We had a foreign manager that was sort of horrible (most managers in general are horrible) but people felt it was ok to tell him "go back to where you come from." . There are innumerable microaggressions that happen that don't seem like a big deal when mentioned individually but which add up day to day. Racism is definitely a thing but I also believe the more financially well off you are, the less you will experience that.

Hello Rasha I been living in Windsor for 36 years. It is nice safe quite calm city and I raised all my children here in very safe community no crimes but the jobs are almost zero.

Garry s truthly I tell you from experience the skilled jobs are very rare in Windsor but you can try at the big 3 car industry and it’s factories related to it. I have 4 children with master degrees. 3 of them moved to US to have very good jobs and only 1 lives in Windsor and he doesn’t work in his profession Good luck 🤞 and you don’t loose to try through different agencies here

I am health care professional. There is no tertiary care hospital in Windsor. One has to travel to London for health care

You can’t find job in Windsor Ontario it is small city and if you find work there you will stay in the minimum wage too small mall No much service There is no university that has a department for me to study medicine and engineering in Windsor
Nothing much can do there in Michigan you need job contract if you wanna go to work there not easy and difficult to pass The border every day ,don’t forget the Michigan is one of the top dangerous state in the United States a lot of crime’s have there The crime rate is very high, and it is the highest in all of America, in Michigan

Ha ha everybody also says 'the best point on living in Windsor is to have Detroit across the bridge'! So what's the point ? Having to bother crossing the border to go to the USA. If people want so bad to be in the USA, then why do they live in Windsor ? Doesn't make sense to me plus all the border aggravation.
I think it's because they equate it as having a sort of touristy destination within easy reach - not that they want to live there. I mean, think about what is in Detroit from a tourist perspective: The Detroit Zoo, Detroit Institute of Arts, The Fox Theater, The Stadiums - the anime convention that happens in the Renaissance Center. Despite the weak Canadian dollar there's still a few good reasons to do some shopping in Detroit too; particularly for shoes and plus size clothing or so I am told. Windsor is steadily working on it's own tourist attractions but due to the poor economic infrastructure, and inflating costs of living - it's having a difficult time really taking off. The Casino is a fantastic example of what's working. The Art Gallery is alright but needs some really meaty exhibits of well known art to be a true attraction. The indoor water park thing was too expensive for most locals so it isn't performing as well as hoped. They are working on the river parks to create space for concerts - that was a great move. There's been some encouraging signs of growth downtown. It's happening, we just have to be patient.
