    • @Aristotelezz
      @Aristotelezz Před 9 lety +4

      ***** I disagree. Look at the mister Olympia. Besides one all the winners are still alive. IMO the win that contest you have to take lots of steroids and many other bad things so the risk can't be so big. There's a documentary called Sigmarsson Lager than Life on youtube. In there is said that he had something like a congenital heart condition and that was cause of his death. It maybe that certain products or the sport on it's own has speeded his denying up. But he probably had it coming anyway.

    • @Aristotelezz
      @Aristotelezz Před 9 lety +1

      ***** There are lots of opinion about performance enhancing drugs, from positive to negative. To me it's a personal choice to take them or not. I see it like this. If you're a cyclist every time you step on that bike you take a risk. Cyclists sometimes end up death or in a wheelchair. So whatever you do there's always a risk. The better you want to be the more you got to do the more risk involved.

    • @Aristotelezz
      @Aristotelezz Před 9 lety +3

      ***** Some 25 years ago I doped and I learned it is the norm in sports like powerlifting or body-building. In these sports it isn't cheating. Neither it is in cycling. Lance Armstrong did what they all did. That he was better than others is because of a difference in talent. And also he worked extremely hard. To me it's a pity that in the end he got caught and lost his Tour de France victories. In a poll nearly all other winners said that Armstrong should've kept his victories. That may say something about themselves since, if they were always clean, they wouldn't defend a doper.

    4:57 don't be so modest there, big fella. I think the pub raising money for you to go to the funeral showed how much the people thought of you and what your friendship with him meant, not necessarily Jon Pall himself. I am sure if i went into the same pub and told people i really want to go to the funeral, people would say ' join the queue, mate. We all want to go and pay our respects to this great man'.

      +03056932R True, I'ts highly likely that each of these men used a significant amount of steroids, however it is only speculation to assume that it is responsible for their deaths as opposed to genetic and other factors. It's somewhat unclear at this point what long term steroid use does to the cardiovascular system, but regardless of how they died they were all passionate young athletes that died too young... Add Rick "Grizzly" Brown to that list who died in 2002 at age 41 of heart related reasons. I think he and O.D may have been more weight related rather than simply genetic defect or steroids, both of them were pushing 400 lbs...

      Kal El Try it and see how strong you get (spoiler not very). All elite athletes use them. It is a must at that level. I was young and nieve once, reality is they are not magic pills and those elite athletes work harder than you will in 100 lifetimes. It is inhuman the amount of work they do because to be the best there is no substitute for hard work. Steroids aid recovery so they can wok harder. Many injuries are due to chronic overuse which 99% will never train hard enough for that to happen.

At younger ages you feel invicible(all organs in your body new and strong), but as you grow older, the years of abusive use, come asking for a toll.
