I have to say that I really enjoyed the new interpretation of this beloved song. It breathes. It flows. It allows new voices to be heard. It's really solid and it made me sit up and take notice of what this song can be. New surprises all the time and I'm happy for it!

Good stuff. A note I noticed listening to this in regard to tempo (and I'll preface this by saying I know this is a controversial subject, and what I am going to say is just MY opinion, I'm not interested in a flame war; and by stating my opinion I am not saying anyone else's opinion is not as or more valid. You enjoy what you like). I don't like Dead & Company and the tempo they play most Grateful Dead songs. It sounds like the Dead version, just slowed down. However, in the setting of the Wolf Brothers, it comes across as an entirely different rendering of the song, and really works for me. I missed the show in 19 in STL, I hope Bobby comes through with this outfit again sometime before he hangs up touring.

Do you think the tempo on the Casey Jones from 12/1/17 in Dallas is too slow too? There's tons of examples of why your 'opinion' is stupid and turns certain people off of even giving them a try. They're on fire right now and it's sad for anyone who misses out because the music is "too slow" lol.

Great grate singer!! Just not a fan of his style. Iam so used to Bob singing this song it just doesn’t sound right to me. I know Iam in the minority here. Kind of like John Mayer singing Jerry songs, Mayer is extremely talented, but just doesn’t sound right to me. But hey to each their own. This band is super grate!! Thank you for posting this !👍🙏. I’d love to hear Tyler sing Just a little light or some other Brent tunes, that would be bad ass! I know that won’t happen.
I agree on both counts. No one can sing like Jerry or Weir as they had unique voices that fit perfectly for all their songs. ✌️
I love what Bobby is doing with the Wolf Bros, and this is indeed a great arrangement of a true classic, but...
I think it's just not the same without Bobby doing the lead vocals. I would say I've probably heard the tune performed live 100 times back in the old days. I guess I'm oldster.
