Isn't common knowledge that Pig was ballin' a shiny black steel jack hammer
because next time things won't be the same ...
And kept a woman that would be good to him, wont hide his liquor try to serve him tea. Janis was a gamer.
@@bluecollar825 Could I be mean to the Pig and serve him tea? No. No, I could not! No woman could! Not while he was singing! 😋 Tasty!

Lol Bob Weir, one of the strangest guys I’ve ever heard, saying Steve Jobs is “on the Asperger’s Scale a little bit.” Love it ha!!
Pretty good. The train trip across Canada was in1970, a tour that included the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Buddy Guy, Flying Burrito Bros, Ian & Sylvia's Great Speckled Bird, Mountain and Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. It was made into a movie, the Festival Express. There was a massive amount of drinking on the train, especially by Rick Danko of the Band and Janis. Bob Weir is a great storyteller, and of course he has a gazillion of them.
Festival express
Just a great, enthralling look at these legends in their prime, filled with a love of rock and blues stretching back to the first blues disc recordings in the 1920s.
He's more fun than a frog in a glass of milk.
Thank you so much for dropping this comment. I'm just starting to watch that movie. Never heard of it before. Thank you. Peace...
Don't hate on Bobby! He's almost 80. Give the guy a break. Let him enjoy. Love it!
Ya poor rich angry millionaire and Bohemian Grove member
Bob Weir is a mystical being while high! lol
Has Bob written a book? It would be sad if his stories weren't told! He must have thousands of them. Really good interviews of both him and Anderson
I’ve heard him talk about being in the process of writing one sometime last year, haven’t heard anything since
Weird, I was just thinking about that today, he needs to!
Greatest story ever told
There’s a documentary about his life, that is quite good!
see the film 'the other one' ... weir 's documentary ....
I always like how well spoken Bob is, and his excellent vocabulary
"well spoken"? it takes him 30 seconds between EACH WORD!! i'd say he's "WELL TOKEN" obviously amongst countless acid/mushroom trips! enjoy the dead though true professionals as a band!
@@casedismissed8581 countless ? He’s said many many times that acid wasn’t really a long standing thing for him. It was a thing for a brief period in the late 60’s and ran its course.

The shirt Andy has on is from New Years 1986, Henry J. Kaiser arena; Oakland, CA. Was there, working for BGP. Cool shirt design, and fortunately got one for working the show.
I love trying to follow a story bobs telling

Bob! Wore my short shorts to your show in mobile many years ago! Gonna squeeze into them again for jazzfest. Love you! Love "lovelight"
At 1:45 as Weir gets to the point of the story (to talk about the ghost), Anderson interrupts to talk about his maybe haunted house, and kills the whole question. Bob didn't tell us about the ghost, Anderson gives no indication weather he's seen a ghost or not. Interviewer (what is this guy on?) lets it happen and moves on to the next question. This video is Weir'd.
Ya, because it's Anderson Cooper, a selfish self-centered to the extreme, left hand lunatic.
Anderson is a spook, look it up
This match of personalities makes me doubt that whole "3 is a magic number" thing. Was hard to watch.
The show's not long. It moves fast, lol.
Him and Anderson are together
Bob Weir does an excellent job on Me & Bobby McGee.
1:48 Cooper interrupting bobby in his ghost story pisses me off alot.
Cut him straight off before he really said much that mattered
that was great Andy, Thanks
That was awesome. Thanks.
I'd LOVE to sit and have dinner with Bobby. Oh the stories he has! 🌹⚡️💀

Weir is a fucking legend. Luv that dude!!!
Somebody tell Bob Weir that the thin sheathing used on the walls of the old camp he describes as hearing Janis and Pig Pen making love noises through was probably "beaver board", an especially apt name in this case.

Andersen Cooper, even duller than on CNN. I didn't think that was possible.

I love how Jerry would say like 500 words per minute in an interview and it would be 98% focused, intelligent and entertaining. Then contrast that with Bob, who acts like he just took a giant dab at the peak of a strong mushroom trip :) And Jerry would say Bill was the weird one lol

Bob and Janis didn’t really invent the wordless coda to Bobby McGee, it’s always been there since Kris Kristofferson first wrote it. Janis did take to a whole other level with her improvisation however.

Anderson Cooper’s mother was Gloria Vanderbilt, of the legendary Vanderbilt family. Anderson Cooper was raised im amongst NYC’s most elite high society. Growing up in Manhattan, he was exposed to The Who’s Who in everything from movies to TV to sports to writers to artists, etc., right in his own childhood home. Agree. I have nothing but respect for Bobby but Anderson Cooper is nothing but a corporate mouthpiece and a predator.

Actually, now that I've watched the whole thing, poor bob seems to be getting A LOT slower with answering questions and explaining concepts and pretty simple stories. It could be due to a lot of things, old age, drug abuse on tour, or possibly even early symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's... it just seems like he's having a lot of trouble stringing words together.
