Love the look of this bike..... So tempted to pull the trigger. Over last year been looking at aero bikes but potentially reaccessing and choosing a bike that I will enjoy more and has a much more rounded skill set. Thanks for posting review.... Much appreciate👍 P.s. Great location..... Jealous
I can tell you that my speed has increased with this bike over my tcr. The comfort let's me keep pushing longer, the Reynolds AR58/62X wheels keep it going fast and thev33c tires keep me from bouncing all over the place. Thank you for watching. Subscribe and I'll post more
Hey Tony! Thanks for posting these vids! I am currently waiting for my Defy AP 3 order to arrive at my local shop - you reviews are helping me get stoked up! Did your AP 2 come with the 42mm SLR 1 wheel set? They don’t post which depth they come with. Cheers and happy riding!!
Thanks for the review! Im currently looking at 2019 Defy Advanced Pro 0 which has Di2 and power meter, but I hate the Iris color of the decal. Yours looks fantastic!
Thank you. Have you seen your 2019 in person outside? It does look way better in person over pics. Also keep in mind. When riding the bike we judge it by how it feels over its looks. I know you have to love the look, but I had to buy a mountain bike once in a color I did not care for. In the end I loved the bike for what it was.
Bike looks great. I pick up my new Defy this week (same model). Did you rotate the bars downwards slightly to reduce the steepness of the drop section?
Hey Tony, I've just ordered this same bike and am SO psyched to have an endurance road bike that can cross over to some mild gravel. To that end, I'm curious if you happened to measure the internal width of the original Giant wheels? I can't find the internal width anywhere and thought you might be able to tell me. I know that the bike can clear 35c tires, but just because the bike can fit them doesn't mean that they should be put on those rims, you know? Or maybe the can. I'd love your perspective on this. Finally, thanks for the 2 videos! They have been spot on as far as providing a buyers perspective.
Hey Mike. Glad to hear that you chose the defy. You will love it. I just did some light gravel and rail trails today. As for your question.... the stock internal width is 17mm. It's really more than enough, but the industry always needs a new gimmick. This time its wider wheels. Lol!
I’m curious why you didn’t go with the Defy Advance 1 since you were going to swap your wheels. Was it for the cable routing, did you want two sets of carbon wheels or is there something else I’m missing?
The av1 comes with the same wheels. Only difference besides black to red paint is stam force 12speed e tap. It was a little out of my price range for one bike and I love the all black look.
How much does it weigh now since you changed the wheels? before it was just over 18 lbs. I got the Advanced Pro 1 with Force eTap AXS and GP 5000 Tubeless with a size Small frame around 17 Lbs . Like everything about how it rides and handles whilst riding, touch wood no issues with the bottom bracket so far either.
I'm 215lbs and a very hard sprinter and don't get that flex at all. I seen that video too. I have a friend with the ar41 x wheels and I asked to check his out before buying mine. He dont have that flex either. They feel great.
@@blkbelttony Thank you for the clarification. Two of the strongest assets of the Reynolds wheels are the outstanding warranty policy and the absence of a weight limit. Appealing wheels. They're on my bucket just now.
Beautiful Tony. This will be my next bike , just have to keep saving.
You're going to love it.

I'm glad they helped. You will love the bike I'm sure.

@@blkbelttony That is great input and i will definitely will take that into consideration! Thank you very much!
Nice for Liberty State Park laps
It's seen a few loops through there. Lol

I built my bike out of the box at my local bike shop. So I have nothing to compare it to. I set them up to me from day one

twowheeltony Thanks man. Much obliged. 🙏🏼
Oof that cross chain at the beginning

I was thinking about the same wheel set. Have you experience and wobbling or flexing? See that on some reviews for Reynolds wheels.
No, the new wheels are stiffer. I recommend these

18.7 lbs give or take as it is
Could you please do a video of the freehub sound? I'm looking at purchasing these wheels online. Thanks
Look at my page. I already have one uploaded. The wheels are great. Hub engagement is nice and quick

@@blkbelttony Awesome, thanks mate
What are your long term impressions of these wheels? Are tires hard to mount on them?
Wheels are doing great. They stay true and my 32c tires installed very easy.
May I enquire if the wheels don't wobble when lateral pressure is applied, as shown here: czcams.com/video/uVv3wpyktdM/video.html ? Thank you.

Cardon wheels always firmer ride.
