2019 was a good year. I got out the door with my Charger Scat Pack Plus for 38.2K. I sold it 2.5 years later for 42K when people lost their minds about these cars. The value isn't there anymore.
I did the same thing.. paid 42,000 with extended warranty for the motor put 9000 miles on it and sold it in 2020 for 41,000 on a trade in and I got a 2000 dollar check in the mail from the extended warranty company.. The car company that I traded the car into sold the car for 6000 more than I paid for brand new.

Well the Camaro and the Mustang are much more cheaper. So in times of high interest rates people are going to go the cheap route or not bust a move at all
Back in 2019, I bought my 2015 hc challenger for 44k. Used with 35k on the dash. Even kept the sticker to show errbody for proof. Mmaann inflation n demand is a sombitch. Still got her too.
Power Dollars are back, but only for the SXT/GT/RT...those cars might start moving now.

@@williamrose7818 Only GT at my local dealer is below $38,000 and then you can subtract $4,500 off that for current incentives (here in the southeast).
The same for the Challengers went down. Between 2011 and now, both the Mustang and the Camaro made changes inside and outside.
Yes the manufacturer is partly to blame, but I gotta say the dealerships share some blame too with their prices.

I came from a mustang to a 23 wb scat. 66k otd back in October23 and I personally think it was worth every bit of that. They sold for less before cause they weren’t as popular. They were underpriced in my opinion. I think the price now reflects what it’s worth

75k not bad fam. Everybody who wanted one has already bought one. The reason Ford had a push on the sales in the last quarter is because the Mustang came out with a new body style. So a lot of people traded in their old Mustang for the new body style.
75k isn’t bad but compared to other years it is one of the lowest years for sales for them. That new body style for the mustang helped their sales for sure.
@@RUBIX3 true. I agree with all your metrics. But i think after a while everything reaches a growth curve. Even the Teslas. All the people who wanted one has already purchased one. So its no new buyers. But i agree That last year of sales was full of all kind of Shenanigans. What dodge needs is to ditch the iron block, do direct injection instead of port injection, replace some parts of the cars that they make use steel for with aluminum, and lower displacement and youll still make the same power. Do that for an R/T. Add a hybrid system for the Scat Pack with a hybrid system with a stop start system for better fuel economy and when you put it in sport mode itll use both the battery and the engine and itll have even more torque than before. For the hellcat take the same ideal and throw a turbo on it. Better fuel economy at lower rpm's not only from direct injection, a lighter engine and a lighter car, but also not having extra air going because of turbo delay and a hybrid system thatll let it be selective on when it uses the engine, and more power efficient than a supercharger higher up in the RPM.
Yeah and instead of that, they decide to make an unproven straight six turbo that nobody wants. The 4.0 I6 was bulletproof, but this new engine is different from any straight six ever made. It will be a nightmare.
@applianceman6009 yeah dodge has always been good when it comes to 8 cylinders. Considering the weight of their cars and the skinny tires, they do really well. Surprisingly good gas mileage and power output for the displacement of their port injection engines. Whatever they're doing there they need to adapt it to direct injection on an aluminum block. Hell if they use a hybrid system on the scat pack they could even make the engine a vvt and make the engine even more fuel efficient down low in the rpm and have the hybrid system make up for the lack of torque on the low end. They've just gotta play it smart and they haven't been.
I am never buying another dodge again. They are the only company that does not have a place to log complaints. Toyota for example if you call their corporate number they will file a grievance and help resolve whatever problem you had or have with any of their dealerships. Dodge however does not even have a place to file a grievance. I called stellantis and they told me that the only affiliation they have with their dealerships is the fact that they use their name and trademark and that there is no place for me to file a grievance against a dealership with their corporation. To me that is insane and I hate to say it but I hope they bite the dust and their greedy shady company goes bankrupt. I personally will never even step foot on a dealerships lot if they have any affiliation with stellantis. They are liars scammers and thieves.
The only way I’m buying a scat in this economy is if power dollars come back. If not then I don’t mind waiting 8-12 months and getting a used one
That could happen. Power Dollars are already back for the R/Ts and below. Why the Scats weren't included is a mystery. There are more of them on dealer lots than there are GTs and R/Ts.

Nah bruh. I hear ya but you have to look at the price per unit aspect of it. 2023 RTs were going for 50k and selling. Scats going for 60k. Hellcats were near 100k. They made a killing

Mark ups are over.. the problem is the MSRP… scats are overpriced by 15 to 20,000… Hellcats by 30 thousand… look at the MSRP of à superbee.. 74,000.. for a 392. What a joke.
Stellantis was hoping that Gen Y,Z would keep buying these Scat Packs and posting these, "I'm 18 and I bought my 1st scat Pack" You Tube Videos. The Banks tightening up on lending along with high interest rates saved the kids from financial suicide. Oh and Stelership Greed. Remember when they were asking 100k over MSRP for the Ram TRX
They just got to expensive. An then interest rates went crazy. I got my brand new 2020 Charger R/T plus for 38k out the door. I literally watched them take it off the carrier. Tried to get another couple years later, mid 50’s and triple the interest. No thanks I just quit buying.
But i think Dodge should cost a bit more then Chevy and Ford. The mopar cars are constructed more solid it seems they used more materials to build them mopars as opposed to the little Mustang and the cheap looking Camaro
That’s true the cars are bigger but they haven’t changed anything about the cars to justify the price going up 50% in the last 5 years.
Also the engineering side is Beeoch on Chrysler u get in accident they cost way more to fix they usually have 3 body parts where 2 or 1 would suffice I'm talking about fascias plastic skid plates etc. Liberty Mutal Insurance charges more for claims do to how there built.

Not hard to know how dodge will fail... muscle is what brought dodge into the modern competitive era. The EPA and the lack of diversity destroyed their ability to sustain the muscle cars and had to backslide into some 1980's GLH/ pre hemi roll out... Dodge literally did this exact game plan in the 80's. There were foreign cars named challenger and charger that didn't have a V8 hemi. There was also a GLH.. this is crazy lol..... Finally due to inflation and manipulation the sedan segment of dodge lineup has been priced out of families who would want the 4 door for just traveling. Then dodge want to hold their breath waiting for 2025 model to save the day... They might end up like AMC....
First Stellantis over priced them, then the stupid dealers put them out of sight. No matter how they push them as last calls, the Chargers haven't changed since 2021. Who wants to buy a 12 year old car for $100,000 +.
Hyundai/Kia has changed their cars.
Maybe the price increase could be justified if they were reliable. The cars are junk. Ive had 3. I know what im talkin about. When they stole my charger i was literally happy. 😂
