- A warm sunny day in late Summer is coming to an end at Walsham St Helens with the final passenger service of the day. It's 16:22 and GWR 45xx 5555 arrives at the station. A quick refuel and run round before departure to North Walsham, and on to Exeter. I hope you enjoy this video with sound. It is my first attempt at such an edit. The loco is in desperate need of a service, a little unreliable from the engine shed unfortunately. But prairies are handsome and it deserved to star in this feature! Enjoy.
Just come across this in 06/24. Nice little cameo. Great modelling, well blended to the backscene. Good sound and action coordination too. 👍👍👍👍
This individual is the Rembrandt of model railroading. I’ve never seen background that well done.
Full of atmosphere and adding sound really enhances the enjoyment factor. Outstanding scenery by the way.
Glad you enjoyed. I'll do a little tour video with some voice over about the different parts of the layout.
Wonderfully atmospheric!
Absolutely superb stuff dear friend...
Super and in such a small space.
Such a beautiful layout, nicely operated. I felt liked I was whisked back in time, watching the operations there as a trainspotter.
Even better now with the sound , I really enjoyed this 👍
Cheers Philip. The sound really helps to bring it to life. It's a little too loud I think... but all good practise. I'm improving. I must get my loco fleet sorted out though. Since I weathered them... they have been poor runners.
Its hard to see where the model stops and the background starts and for the first few seconds I thought it was real life, incredible eye for detail.
Superb attention to detail and sound brings it to life.
Beautiful!
Exquisite layout with first class weathering and scenery. The backscene blends in beautifully and the sound track makes this a great evocation of times past. Good to meet you at the SVR and hope you managed to get up close and personal with that pannier tank. Loved the Bach too.
Very well prepared layout, so realistic, it is captivating to watch. Credit to its creator.
Fantastic level of realism Matt, great job thought I was looking at a real railway at one point! All the best, Paul
Stunning 👍👍👍👍
Congrats m8, your layout looks bloody fantastic
What a superb layout, well done indeed! it could have almost been real. Once the garden railway is finished I will turn my attention to a similar model. Thank you.
Accurate road surfaces. Well done.
Great atmosphere and fine modelmaking. Lovely!
Fabulous modelling and simple running...very well presented layout...
Very impressive, Ive subscribed
Beautiful detailed lay out, envy it !!
Stunning layout! The detail is superb and looks so realistic!
I like the interest of running round and the little coaling up part. Just shows you can do alot with just a small layout and a few tracks.
Lovely layout thank you for showing us this
Nice new video thanks like it.
Well, that certainly made a difference over part one. Sound track has made a world of difference. I'd like to think I could do that well at my first attempt. Well done sir!!!!. 😀😀😀😀😀
Superbe et très réaliste 👍👍👍👍🥰
That was absolutely brilliant Matt ,the sound of a working loco & general back ground sounds adds to the atmosphere ,all we need is that early autumn chill .The attention to detail is what brings to life .Any future plans to look forward to .
I love this layout, and if I can get mine one quarter as good as this, then I'll be happy.
Brilliant
Luvvly jubbly
Отличный макет! Круто!
I feel the sound completes the overall atmosphere. As you say below, it can be turned down! Fabulous modelling looks bigger than it really is. How did you get the sound effects?
Absolutely superb stuff. Was your backscene custom made or did you buy it from somewhere? Love the autumnal scene.
Very nicely done, but right at the end you forgot to put back the signal!
A lovely moment of GWR branchline operation in the 1930's - a pity that the starter signal was in the "off" position as the train entered the station
Hi how big is the scenic area of this ? Cheers
Hi there. The scenic section measures 4ft 4inches by 12 inches. It is designed literally within an inch of its life! The loco release can accommodate a loco the size of a GWR manor (about 21cm I think off the top of my head). The loop will hold two coaches.
@@mattyhaynes1 you have done very well to get stuck a realistic layout in such a short space. I have a similar space but my track plan is very contrived!
What background is that ?
I really like this layout but the loco is not very smooth.
Yet another otherwise delightful model railway video that can't bear, or bother, to tell us what the scale is. Oh, and you don't need to fade to black between clips. For the most part just make a cut.
I’ll not criticise the modelling. It’s top class. The colours, textures, techniques, details are fantastic. But IT’S TOO BLOODY LOUD! TURN THE FRIGGING VOLUME DOWN.
The sound was left fairly loud to cater for people using laptops or poor sound systems. It's my first attempt at sound. I'm sure it's not too difficult for the individual to turn the sound down to the level they require.
