Remake of this classic spooked me out as a kid.
This is why invasion of the body snatchers is the best, if not greatest, story in all of science fiction!
this is one of the best movies ever made
I've got to to see this whole movie. I was too young to be allowed to see it when it came out and then I just never went back and watched it.
I remember this scene as being particularly scary.

When i look at some scenes here and the original version i ge tthe feeling that the pod aliens are not evil but misunderstood. Theyre trying to survive and are desperate. They see how humans can be hosts or whatever so they duplicate and discard them without realizing they are living creatures with emotions. They dont understand coz they themselves have no emotions. And in the original, one of the pods explains how theyll be unborn in a new world where there is no pain no need for love etc everyone will be the same of course they dont realize theyre brutally killing them when the duplication is complete in their eyes they're merely recreating them. You even hear one of them shouting ''We dont want to hurt you'' with some sort of genuinity in his tone. And even after a woman gets duplicated and her husband refuses to accept his fate he runs off and she looks at him run with some sort of concern if you could call it that. So yeah they may not be evil just very misunderstood.
They are murdering billions.
