Well folks, a year has come and gone, so it's time I made up my mind as to whether I am keeping this long hair or going back to my old style. I took your advice seriously when making my decision. Hope you enjoy it.

Hey Billy. Great to hear from you. It's been growing for over a year now. I feel like I can confidently say I have long hair now :)
Grow it for another year at least, it isn't very long yet. Looks great though. I've grown out my hair long three times, well currently on the third, and this time I did it from a completely bald head so progress is a little behind the other times I've done it. Even when I started with some hair to begin with it took at least 18 months before it really fell into the category of long hair. Even after 23 months which is the longest I've ever made it, I still didn't feel like it was truly long. I suppose it's all up to preference and perception though. as long as you keep your hair healthy and don't damage it I don't think it's necessary to get trims, unless you don't like the way it's growing in its shape naturally. the other two times I've grown it out I made the mistake of trimming it and I ended up not liking the way it looked after several more months, so I think this time I'm going for no trims at all for at least two and a half to three years. Keep up the good work Drew.
