eivor is a league of her own, unrivaled.
she is a classically trained sopran and owner of a masters degree in tratidinal nordic vocal techniques, and an absolute versatile artist. i do like aurora, too, but vocally she cannot keep up with eivors pure vocal power.
Interesting to know, I havenât listened to much of their music. I like the both they are unique in each of their own ways . âşď¸
Great reaction. I got into Aurora, from Eivor a few months ago. They have both sung the vocals on Helvegen by Wardruna, but not together. As far as I know they have never sung together or interacted, but I think they're 2 of the greatest female vocalists around. Eivor is older than Aurora has a bigger back catalogue and has been singing for much longer. Eivor is an amazingly talented singer, and is classically trained.
Eivør is impressing and unikke in her sound. Another great female siger is Vanny Vabiola. Her vocal range is huge and she sound amazing whereever is on the scale. You might vanna check her out also
I admit I have only listened to a few Aurora songs but I generally find her vocals to be more delicate, pretty and girly at least to my ear than Eivør who I find more powerful, bright and forward.
Personally I prefer Eivør's vocals but I do also like Aurora. Perhaps when Eivør is using more breathy vocals there is a similarity? They are both Nordic singers so there is probably some crossover in influences.
They both sing beautifully and unique as wellâŚwould have to listen to more of their songs too.
