Hello from Copenhagen, Denmark! 🇩🇰 The cheapest flights to and from Europe went through Copenhagen, so on our way back to the US, we decided to spend some time exploring the city. We only had one day to explore, but we tried to squeeze in as much as humanly possible!

If you really wanna taste sweets ,you need to come to southern Jutland, they got a famous thing in the summer called southern Jutland Coffee table 20+ difrend cakes
I just saw your video from the visit to Copenhagen. I don't live in Copenhagen myself, but I love watching videos from foreigners and hearing about how they experience Denmark, our history, culture, food and way of life.
P.S. I think the white horses and the carriage you saw was preparation for the coming change of throne.
We had a wonderful time! Thanks for watching!
Yeah, we figured it had something to do with that
I've been living in Copenhagen for 57 years so here's my two cents: yes, it's expensive but the further away you move from the city centre, the less expensive it is. Consider spending more than one day and visit some of the museums -they are all situated within walking distance.
That makes sense. We'd love to spend more time in Copenhagen and Denmark. Unfortunately we had limited time on this trip, but one day we certainly will explore it properly!
Do they speak English there?
@@karenpaulin8916 Most definitely.
@@AdventuresofAplusK, I completely understand.
@@karenpaulin8916 we speak danish, but most of us are speaking english too, we learn it in school.
It was the reherchal for the Queen leaving and the King comming. 😊Hope you will visit Denmark in summer also
Very cool! Thanks! Yes we'd love to experience it in the summer!
We have used a lot of your tips travelling in US in 2022 and for our trip this year from 2.May drivning for 8 weeks visiting places we have seen and new places. We like your chanel very much ❤️🤗🇩🇰🤩
That's so awesome to hear! We're glad we could help in some way. Thank you so much for watching!
Sunday mornings before church=coffee and A+K!!!
Woohoo! ❤
The purple stuff on the pork smørrebrød is pickled red cabbage, which is very popular and traditional with pork roast in Denmark.
Pork roast, potatoes, brown sauce and red cabbage goes very well together.
It was so dang good! Loved that combo! Thanks for sharing that!
Ciekawe!? Ludzie troche mentalnie rozwinieci i swiadomi tego co wkladaja do buzi, nie ruszaja takiego jedzenia. Moze raz na rok, albo na zasciankowej prowincj???🙃😉
Huh?
@@ewamalecka3204so from what I can gather from your comment you have it a couple of times a day 😂
It's pickled, not fermented.
What I like about Copenhagen is that it’s a relatively small big city and it isn’t over crowded so you have enough space to walk around
Yes we really enjoyed that about it as well!
It always surprises me how colorful European houses are!! Your editing and filming are second to none! Awesome job and as always thank you for bringing us along on your journey!!!
We loved the buildings also! Thanks a lot, Jeff! ❤
it depends on where in Europe you are, houses are not colorful in all European countries, and in some countries it's only in a few cities, in Denmark it's pretty much all cities, although we have cities in Northern Jutland were all houses are yellow , and the modern parts tend not to be colorful sadly
Your bloopers are precious!! LOL ... thank you again for sharing Denmark with us. Love the architectures in Denmark!
haha we were having a ton of fun! We loved the architecture as well! What a gorgeous city!
Thx for sharing, looks nice
Oo I love Copenhagen! Thank you for another awesome adventure. ❤
Great video! So much fun! Loved the outtakes!
Thank you! ❤
What a beautiful city!
13:25 That's not a former insineration plant. It's one of the newest, most modern, clean burning plants, in the world. It was built like that, with the skee slope and the highest climbing wall in the world on the outside. It was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, who also designed that WT tower, that was approved, never built. They also designed the now famous VIA 57 West resident building, in New York.
I’m not sure where I read that it was a former plant. My mistake! Thanks for sharing!
Another great video 😍 thanks for sharing! Love watching u guys! ❤️
Thanks so much!! ❤
my favorite couple, thanks
We enjoy watching your videos , thanks for sharing .

wow - very interesting Europe travel... good thanks for sharing your video... good job.
Thank you!
I REALLY want to visit Copenhagen 😍 great vlog!❤
It is such a charming city! Can't wait to visit in the summer one day!
Great videos from Copenhagen and Malmö. I lived in Malmö for a couple of years and it´s a really nice town, but Copenhagen is just one of the best cities in the world.
We had a wonderful time! Thanks for watching!
What an amazing winter adventure y’all have had! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute and learned so many tidbits for our Bucket List travels! Thank you, as always, for all the hard work yall do! Looking forward to what’s after Sweden!❤
Thank you! ❤
Wow, other than the bigger canal tour boats, it looked like you had the canal all to yourselves!!! What a great way to experience a different perspective of the city, on your own timeframe! Loved "Adam just wanted a shot of him waving!"
Yeah we did! I'm glad too! It was nerve wracking enough boating through with no other boats! haha 😂
Hello Adventurers, Copenhagen...WOW! This is AWESOME look at all colors and the food items. Must be DELICIOUS 😎.
Such a gorgeous city with delightful foods!
Copenhagen looked so charming…love the buildings and the canal! The boat ride looked like a lot of fun but chilly! 🥶 Another great video!
It is such a beautiful city!
Loved it. Thanks Adam, thanks Kathryn. 👍😊💙
Thank you!
Yo love the channel! You were actually my middle school teacher. Crazy how far you’ve come. All Love!
Yo! Hope you're doing well! Thanks and thanks for watching!
LOVE the ways you guys host your videos and make it so informative with history and culture about a place!
Me mom and dad just started the morning watching this on the tv 👌🏽
I am borrowing some of your styles in my most recent travel vlogs that will come up in the near future 😊 thanks for making good content!
That is so cool to hear!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
The horses and trompets I would guess are a practice run for the crowning of the queen and king..
And the open sandwich is a pour version. You should try the big ones..
Very cool! Thanks!
Thank you! We plan on visiting Denmark (plus Germany and Norway) next year as it is part of my ancestral heritage. I always enjoy your informative videos.
That's going to be an awesome trip! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Apollo is by far my favorite restaurant in Nyhavn! Went there three times for breakfast while my time there. For next time, I highly recommend the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
We'll have to check it out next time! Thanks!
A+K Loved your video was definitely one of the better ones with lots of really good all-around information. you have to return in the summer it's even better.
Thank you! Yes we'd love to return in the summer one day!
What a nice coffee place. Would love that concept :D
Wow you managed to put in an absolutely packed day and it still looked fun and relaxing somehow.
It was a ton of fun! It was a bit hectic just because of the limited daylight, but we still had a wonderful time
Went to Copenhagen last spring. Amazing city with great food & people! The canal ride was my favorite 😊 & I had the best crepe of my life there
The canals were so fun to cruise around in!
Love the shoutout to WV!!! So glad I got to hang out with you guys when you were here! Wishing you safe travels in 2024!
We're glad we got to hang as well! Would love to again when we're out that way again some time! Thank you for still watching! ❤
Thank you for visiting my hometown :)
Great video as always guys I have a friend lives in Denmark it's Beautiful there have a safe trip home
Thank you! We had an awesome time in Copenhagen! Would love to explore more of the country!
Your European trip has been a fun adventure to share with you!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Ahhh always wanted to go there!
Highly recommend!
Loved this video so much! Cant wait to see Sweden next Sunday! Did you guys learn a little of the language danish? Whats your favorite type of danish? Mine is cream cheese or cherry
Danish is ridiculously hard to learn! We gave a weak attempt, but it is just too tricky, especially only being there for a couple days
We love them all!
Nice video from my city. You have shown it so well. I think the horses you saw at Christansborg were an exercise for the coronation of our new king. Nice that you tried both open sandwiches and hot dogs. What's in our cream puffs (flødeboller) is not marshmellow but meringue. You must come back one day when it is summer.
Thanks for sharing that! It was so neat to see! We would love to come back in the summer! Hopefully one day! Thank you and thanks for watching!
My wife and I just completed a Copenhagen puzzle a couple of weeks ago. Very cool to see so many of the scenes from that in this video.
That is super cool!
What a cool place! That bell would have driven me crazy at the end 😆
Copenhagen was amazing! That bell seemed to go on for 10 minutes! 😂
We were there last month! Dop was delicious and coffee/bakery culture there was top notch
Totally agree!
Cool guys! Went there a long time ago. I remember going to Christiania and the taxis were Mercedes.
If we had more time we would've ventured over there! We really liked it there!
YAY! I am so excited you guys visited Denmark! I am half Danish and have visited many times and love it. If you ever find yourself making another trip out, I HIGHLY recommend trying Kringle from a bakery (my favorite flavor is almond, but they usually have fruity ones too). Loved to see smørrebrød and the classic danish pølser. Made me crave them so bad!
We had a blast there! We hope we can make it there again! We've had a kringle here in the States, but I'm sure the ones in Denmark are WAY better. We loved all the food we had there!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
The Classic hotdog is made with a red sausage but else it is close :) Nice Video.
What a great day you had. You should return during summer time.
We would love to visit in the summer! Hopefully one day!
And the red stuff on the pork sandwich is pickled red gabbage.. its common here en Denmark. And if you come another time, you should find a place that serve "flæskesteg sandwich". You can often find them at a butcher who have sandwiches, or a danish "grillbar".
Sounds delicious! Thanks and thanks for sharing!
Always interesting to see tourists experiencing my home town.
Hotdogs are always good, so is Bastard Cafe (and you always want to make reservations there, it's cracy popular).
Cheers!
We had a wonderful time! Thanks and thanks for watching!
A nice looking city.
I love your videos so much 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you and thanks for watching!
What amazing architecture! Thanks for the usual terrific A&K tour. Oh, and the coffee was definitely more than a flat at FiveBucks! 😂
We loved the architecture there! haha yes more expensive, but much higher quality and very tasty! Thank you!
Some things are worth a little more money!@@AdventuresofAplusK
I gotta applaud you for just seizing the day in Cph - in the winter.
Copenhill is btw still a waste treatment facility - they've just made it multi functional with the synthetic skiing hill and more :)
It was quite a challenge! But we're glad we pushed through it! Tbh we did have a moment early in the day where thought about cancelling the video. More so for stress and exhaustion behind the scenes, but the cold only added to it! haha
I misread somewhere that it was a former waste facility. I wish we could've gone, it looks so fun!
I wonder if Rennaissance astronomer, Tycho Brahe, used that Round Tower observatory. You didn't show the Little Mermaid statue, but right behind it is a dock area (Langlenie, or something like that). It's where my German grandparents emigrated from Europe to the US in August, 1923 on the Scandinavian-American lines "United States". It's an interesting city to visit . . . in the summer.
I'd be interested in learning more about the Round Tower. Copenhagen is a fascinating city. Thanks for sharing that about your family!
Those darn bells!!!!
😂 we thought they'd never end!
Have been following you for years, and great you finally came to my country, I hope you enjoyed it. I plan to go to Texas next year, is their one og two food trucks in Austin we need to visit. Go Longhorns
That's awesome! The food scene is really great here! There are so many to choose from...some of our favorite trucks are Micklethwait BBQ, La Tunita 512, Cuantos Tacos, Veracruz, Churro Co
Hook 'em Horns!
Yee-Haa! I didn't know they had a city by that name. Wow! That little round can in my brother's back pocket is actually some place. I wonder how much they grow there. What an exploration.
haha who would've known! 😜
What fun! I can just imagine how many boats would be on that canal during the summer! I think you were lucky doing that in the winter! lol I also caught myself licking my lips when you guys were testing different foods! LOL
Oh I bet the canals are packed with boats in the summer! It probably is best we did it first in the winter! The treats were very very good!
@@AdventuresofAplusK did I hear you say that you are back living in the PNW?
No, I'm not sure where you heard that. We're in Austin right now and will be hitting the road in the van very soon. We sure do miss the PNW though!
we spent two nights in cophenhagen, it was the extended as part of our viking ocean cruise. we loved the city.
Awesome! We loved it too!
Wow...Ocean cruise!? Anybody pays for this kind of mass turisme anymore? Amazing!😄😉.
@@ewamalecka3204 apparently quite a few do, and I would again. but would also pay for a land tour.
The marching group were probably either the changing of the guard or possibly part of the rehearsal for the King’s coronation
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Danish kings and queens are not coronated.
Good old Copenhagen. Did you know Queen Mary of Denmark is actually an Australian? Who’d have thought an Australian would be the queen of Denmark hey. All the way from Tasmania to the royal halls of Copenhagen. As always, we loved your videos. Can never work out how American CZcamsrs manage to eat so much… but entertaining nonetheless.
We did learn that when we were researching about the change in the royals! Pretty neat!
We love food 😊 four small slices of bread with toppings, a couple treats, couple hot dogs, and nachos, all split between two people over a 12+ hour day of constant movement. We probably walked over 10 miles.
Thanks and thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusKlove watching your videos. We look forward to them every week. I was tongue in cheek about the food 😊
I didn’t mean for that to be so defensive 😂 we appreciate you! We can’t wait to visit Australia and Tasmania one day!
I don't know if it has been said, but the reason that there are ramps in round tower instead of stairs is so the king could ride to the top on his horse.
I read the story about a Russian Czar who did it! Thanks for sharing!
We love your channel, all of your trips and especially your energy! One suggestion…….you can’t possibly LOVE everything that you taste.
Stay tuned for the next video! 😉
So glad you had the opportunity to visit Denmark, especially Copenhagen. That canal boat was a great option.
For me back here, NO luck with trout.
Copenhagen was so much fun! I haven't had much luck with any trout lately either! Hopefully this spring and summer!

None at all for me. I’m shaving noggin until one of us gets one. You good with that sir?
@@AdventuresofAplusK
You DO NOT shave yours… just to be sure
Go for it! I love fishing, but I won't be shaving my head for that! I'm lucky to have my hair so I'm keeping it! 😂

Let me know when get a good one. I wanna see that big grin when you catch him. 👍😁
I’ve loved following your adventures this winter and am planning a trip to Germany in December to visit the Christkindlmarkts. Also I live in Solvang, CA, which is the Danish capital of America and a lovely tourist town. I will have to see if they have those treats you two enjoyed on your GoBoat tour.
Stay tuned to our website over the summer. We'll be working on posting guides to our Germany trip including for the Christkindlmarkts!
We've always wanted to visit Solvang! It just hasn't worked out yet, but it looks super fun!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I look forward to your videos. You do a great job 👏
I was wondering why Kathryn was explaining the hot dogs with bells going in the background and then I got my answer at the end haha. The bloopers were hilarious. We love watching you guys!!

Hi Happy couple! 🙋 I pray for you to be safe and happy 🙏 it's always delightful to see you lovely couple 💗🌈
Thank you!
So cool that you actually visited a traditional "smørrebrøds jomfru" and not the places that overdo it. What you got is way more close to what the locals would be getting:)
That’s good to hear! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Thanks for visiting Denmark 🇩🇰- but remember, that Denmark is also Jutland, Funen and several other islands and places. Consider going to Aarhus e.g., second-largest city in the country.
Yes we would have loved to spend more time there. We unfortunately only had a couple days. We'll be back 😊
@@AdventuresofAplusK Consider visiting my city, Aarhus. It won't disappoint you.
You got the plain everyday smørrebrød - well done. Some Dane’s get that for lunch every day.
It’s also an ordinary lunch 3-6 peace’s mackerel is ordinary but feared taste, because it smells after4 hours in your bag
We loved them! We'd eat them often too if we lived there!
My bf and I are going to Alaska in the fall soon and need winter clothing! Is Adam happy with his LL Bean green jacket and are you happy with your North Face?
That's awesome! We're so pumped for you!
We both loved our jackets. I (Adam) wish my LL Bean jacket was a tad longer. I wish they made it as a parka. They do make longer jackets, but not in that color. Kathryn loved hers! She got it at an outlet in Maine and they don't make that exact style anymore, but they do have similar ones.
Make sure to check out our website. We have TONS of Alaska content! We hope it helps!

I never understood why anyone would willingly want to spend so much money to visit the wonderful city of Copenhagen in the dark, cold and gloomy winter. Even though Copenhagen is always nice, coming in the summer gives you so much more. The whole city awakens in late spring and will give you a totally different and better experience.
We understand that. One flights to and from Europe were cheapest to fly through Copenhagen. Why not get out and see it?
Denmark has one of the highest standards of living throughout Europe, and along with that, the highest cost of living, save for Norway. There are many Swedes who live in Malmo but take the Oresund bridge that connects with Copenhagen. They can earn higher wages working in Denmark, which go further by living in Sweden. During your day in Malmo, I hope you have time to check out the Turning Torso high-rise, designed by the Catalonian architect Santiago Calatrava. Standing at 190 metres, it's one of the tallest buildings in Scandinavia.
We saw the Turning Torso from afar! Looked awesome! Thanks for sharing and watching!
The last sweet you did eat ,did miss a lil jam on it ,and then it would be the animals doctors bad eye
You had an Organic hotdog but made like a classic Danish hotdog. Looks like you had a great day in our beautiful capital please come back to Denmark another time ❤
It was amazing! We had such a great time! Thanks!
The round tower was build so you could ride a horsedrawn carriage up.
I read that the czar of Russia at one time did that on a visit! Thanks for sharing!
How are you able to use your data on your phone? Is there some sort of international plan you use? I've just booked a cruise and was told to have the phone in airplane mode to avoid super high roaming data charges.
We'd suggest looking into getting an esim! This is a SIM that you can download to your phone. We use Airalo and it works great. airalo.tp.st/KYf43dLz
Hope that helps!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thanks.
Lookes like så much fun but you definitely had håndmadder not smørrebrød😊
We had a blast! It was delicious whatever it was!
church bells! oh no y'all - We could hear you fine - just go ahead and eat!! Y'all are so good.
haha thank you! It was a funny moment. Thank you for watching!
The best hotdog van in Copenhagen should be (I've never tried it!) John's Hotdog Deli just outside Copenhagen Central Station (At the exit towards Tivoli!).
BTW for a historical view over the development of Copenhagen, then visit Museum of Copenhagen. They have stuff from the stone age until today. I'e. The parks so rounding the old medieval city centre is actually part of the old moat and ramparts of Copenhagen! Tivoli is one of the examples! Tivoli was the first thing allowed to be build just outside the city ramparts in 1843 (Which makes Tivoli the third oldest amusement park in the world ... After Bakken, North of Copenhagen, and Pratter in Vienna, Austria!
We're excited to visit again and see more! If we had more time we definitely would have checked that out! Thanks for sharing!
❤❤❤
What is the address for the Coffee Collective you guys were in? I heard there are 8 of them in Copenhagen.
They do have many locations! We have a Google map linked in the description for every place we visited 😊
Great video but it seemed like a stranger selected some of the music.
I wanted to switch it up a bit 😊 I was inspired after watching the new season of Somebody Feed Phil
13:29 it still is!
I’m not sure where I saw that it was formerly a waste treatment facility, but I was wrong! Thank you and thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK They have some issues getting enough garbage, they built it far too big compared to what was needed. Therefor they have struggled to get enough garbage and have imported it from other countries, to keep it operating at full capacity. It produces heat and power for CPH from the garbage. They have also had to burn biomass to keep up the production. It has only been fictional for less than 4 years.
The horses were training for the crowning of King Frederik X.

Smearbread is pretty close to Danish meaning. Sometimes related languages are the most difficult. I struggle with Estonian.
