Thank you, thank you! My descale light was on for over year. I decided to descale and try the steps in your video and if it didn't work shop for a new Keurig. Well it worked! I was careful to make sure the water reservoir was not completely empty when the Add Water light came on. When that happened I unplugged the unit and waited 15 minutes and plugged it back in. I turned on the unit and the Add Water was showing. I filled the reservoir and no more descale light!😊 I ran 4 brew cycles to rinse the unit and we're back in business!
Thank you sir for your video. This was 3rd that I watched and still had the flashing "descale" light flashing. I had to press and hold the 8oz and 12oz selection and THEN I got a solid decade. JUST continued to use the "K" button and rinsed out with a full tank of clean water. Light and the Unit went OFF on it's own and the process was complete. Have a Blessed Day 🙌

You are a genius my friend. 3 years... 4 coffee makers replaced on warrantee... your video solved my problem... nothing you said or did that was obvious... my problem stemmed from the orientation of the reservoir... hadle must be pointed left for the "add water" sensor to work correctly. The descale cycle worked perfectly after I saw your video and turned the reservoir orientation from 6 to 9 o'clock looking at the coffee maker.

All this shows is the normal descaling process. It's not a fix for anything other than for those who don't read directions. The main issue is when the low water light does not come on even with an empty tank...the descaling process never ends. THAT'S what we need a solution for. Your "actual fix' link doesn't work for anything worth clicking.

The Keurig Gen-II El Supremo won't always work like you said - so I did a Hard ROM Reset like I have done to my washing machine.
I did this after all the solution and the cleaning cups were used up and I tried vinegar to make that damned light go out.
HINT ---> It wouldn't.
I was about ready to give it the "Floatation Test" to see if it had a witch inside it or not.
But - remembering how my washing machine responded to a Hard ROM Reset - I decided to give it a try.....
1. Hold POWER BUTTON down
2. Unplug unit from the wall plate
3. Still holding the POWER BUTTON down stay that way for 15 seconds. while it's still unplugged
4. Release POWER BUTTON
5. Re-plug unit back into wall plate.
6. The light should be out.
7. Your clothes will come out clean - bright and already ironed! Trust me here.

It seems like it has to say "add water" before it can finish the rinse cycle and THEN IT HAS TO GO TO ADD WATER AGAIN BEFORE DESCALE SHUTS OFF!
This is how I did it: I did the descale solution with water. It never said, add water, but almost burned up. I was watching, so I added about 1/4th cup of water to save the unit, and it finished the 12oz cup.
Next, I let the solution/water sit in the unit for 30 minutes. I began to rinse, and rinse and rinse. No luck to get the descale to go off. This is when I worked to add just enough water to get the water low, so it finally said, "Add water." Then I rinsed (6) 12oz cups again, and still descale would not go off. So, I did what I did before to get 'add water' to light up. When it lit up saying "Add water", it went to the word, "Descale" and it went out.
My descale is still flashing....how do I get it to stop. I already did all the process
My Keurig K-Supreme is asking for a descale....When I go into descaling mode. If I push the flashing K nothing happens. Thoughts as to whats going on.?
Okay SO. If your water sensor is broken it will never say add water to move on to the rinse step in the computer, how do I get the descale light to turn off??
I would like to thank you so much for the fix! No where on the bottle does it state the procedure to start descaling, so I used the bottle of chemicals and it didn’t shut off. Got out my vinegar and did it the way you showed and sure enough it finished descaling and the light clicked off! I have had two machine die in the span of a year and a half and was afraid it was going to be three. Thanks I’ll never use the chemicals again if I don’t need to.
For the supreme you have to put it in descale mode before descaling. The instructions are on the website. I had descaled by instructions on the cleaner bottle ( not a Keurig brand) it didn’t mention descale mode. The light won’t go off if you don’t use the descale mode. My light went off after I followed the instructions. It’s that old saying : if all else fails read the instructions. Good luck!

I have followed all these instructions (as well as another which were pretty much the same) and the ADD WATER light does not come on. I have repeated the process 3x and still in DESCALING mode (flashing) Help!!

I did it and it instantly powered off and it won't power on. I should not have taken off the water chamber as suggested
To anyone considering this beware. I tried this and running the Keurig without water can trip the thermal sensor. to fix this, you’ll have to tear the unit completely down it took me about an hour. Do not cycle the Keurig without the reservoir.
I never get the add water light
You really need to warn people that if they take the water reservoir off or let the machine run dry during the process it will completely break it and make it unusable unless they can disassemble it and reset a tiny switch inside, which takes an experience to user maybe an hour the first time. This is a known design defect and you really need to warn people. I almost suspect this is a deliberate design flaw introduced by Keurig in order to sell more machines once the warranty period is up.
It happened to me with one that someone gave me, and I reset it, but the unit never overcame.
Today, as I descaled my 2 year old Keurig, I was watching for the add water light to come on, and it began to steam and burn up like my other one did using too much water, no add water light, so I quickly poured in water. It save this unit!
What a bad rap! Keurig company wants our units to stop working!

Do not try the take the water supply off and try to brew on a keurig slim. To turn the descale light off. IT FRIED MINE. Now I gotta go get a new one. Not a fix
I used vinger an it broke my last machine an had to purchase a whole new one.

I have done this process and have been rinsing for over an hour and the descale indicator still will not turn off. I didn't see a manual override or link your video.
Nothing like taking a 10 second answer and stretching it out to 10 minutes. CRINGE!
I ruined my keurig when I ran it without water. This CZcamsr trying so many things led me to this bad decision.
This video caused my thermostat to shut down, making the Keurig shut down. This video should be removed.
Less is more man, It doesn't take. Ten minutes to tell us this

after my wife tried to descale her Keurig and the dang thing turned off and wouldn’t turn back on.
Before all that mess, I just thought Keurigs were just kind of silly and didn’t make coffee as good as my French press. I actively despise Keurigs now. Utter garbage and antagonistic engineering.
