If you’re Keurig K-Express descale light doesn’t come on and you’re wondering how to put my Keurig K-Express in descale mode or how do I run the descale program on Keurig then I will be walking you through the process from start to finish. I will also show you how to turn off the descale light on Keurig Express.
Many people find that the descaling light still on after descaling and there a few possibilities. It’s always best to run a few rinse cycles and also clean the needle area of coffee deposits that may be stuck.
I will take you through the full descale mode from start to when descaling is done.
If your descale light is on you can skip the step to put your Keurig in descale mode and begin the descale cycle to make the descale light go out.
Descaling is important to remove mineral build-up and maintain the working efficiency of your Keurig brewer.

My descale didn’t turn on for over 3yrs and when I followed the descale process it basically stopped working. When I try and turn it on the descale light just flashes once for half a second.
oh no! Have you tried unplugging it for at least 30 mins, then try again?
Do you run fresh water cycles every so often since you haven't descaled for over 3 years?
Ideally, you want to be descaling every 3 months.

Have you also tried to clean out the needle area and the water reservoir area? If it's not working the machine is sensing coffee deposits stuck somewhere.
