This was such an awesome interview, Gerry must have a crazy amount of knowledge. There were some real nuggets in this and I can only imagine how many cool secrets and strategies he has developed over the years. And I am literally going to the fridge after posting this and putting a piece of carrot in my shrimp tank XD
You might want to use heirloom carrots, they come in many colors like red, yellow, white, violet and more, google them, you might have to grow them on your own tho
If you have a Trader Joe's store, they sell cool carrot colors like yellow and purple.
Nice to see a wholesaler feeding their fish with fresh vegetables. It shows that they care.

This was a great interview. I'm really impressed he was able to pivot away from the Walmart contract and still keep the business going strong--it says a lot about his knowledge of keeping healthy fish and shipping fish to customers.
That was a very interesting video especially learning to feed shrimp carrots to improve colour
I'm wondering if it might be toxic for them of they eat too much. Like with humans, if you eat too many carrots your skin will turn orange and it can make you sick.
AKArainkit but if they are in a wholesale environment and are turning them over pretty quickly he may not be feeding them that for too long before being shipped. Just a thought.

I literally just watched the newer video tour of this place. I didnât know this vid existed. Man Iâm so excited I found this one. The newer one was awesome as well, but this one is say in my opinion is a bit btr because we get to learn more about the owner and I think this is very important. We get to see how awesome this gentleman is, how honest, how much of a hobbyist he is, how much he cares we get quality animals and how hard heâs worked to get where he is today. So fricken epic man! I really enjoy these type of videos where we get insight into the person behind the business. Always interesting to hear their background and how they became successful in the aquarium industry. Gerry in particular came across as a very sincere person and this seems supported by how Randy genuinely appeared to enjoy this interview.

The breeders find that itâs annoying when green jades donât breed true, but the neocaridina enthusiasts love them because thatâs how we get a lot of our purples and other amazing different vibrant colors

This was wonderful to watch! We noticed Aqua Huna on your website and wondered about the connection. We got into fish keeping this summer as DIY homeschool science lab (obviously we love the hobby and will keep the tanks long after this science project is done) and wanted to get more shrimp for our 29 gallon tank. This was great for all around enrichment!

I've learned so much from aquarium coop so much so I finally took the big step 3yrs ago to get a 190l aquarium and instead of the more ornate goldfish I went tropical freshwater and finally this year after failing with a few different breeds I've got a beautiful community tetra tank with pleco(2) albino Cory's (2) Boesemani Rainbows (2) a few zebra danios and cherry barbs mixed in .. can't take my eyes off my tankâșïžđđŠđ đđĄ

I bought several items from Aqua Huna, pre-covid. I've lost some in the last year, but mostly everyone is still alive and happy.
I find it very encouraging that he has his own nano tank, he loves his job that much he likes to see it at home. But even more impressive, and this blew me away: here is a successful businessman who succeeded by being a nice guy! Leaves me hopeful.
