Dr. Hyde was present during the Holmes committee proceedings which culminated in the decision to create "the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" in response to the 1985 Lake Tahoe outbreak.
Unfortunately, he and the other two ME literate physicians, Gordon Parish and Alexis Shelokov, walked out when the CDC declined to acknowledge it as such.

I am saddened to this recent report (August 2019) College of Physicians and Surgeons -- @t - He can no longer practice. Some of his remarks in the video feel a bit far-fetched (stories about patients) so I can't tell but do believe he is very correct that complex syndromes (like my wife) need comprehensive tests which the current system does not support. The CPSO really doesn't have a leg to stand on about his complaints because Dr. Hyde is correct. Our family care physician had no clue and didn't want to take on too many questions in ONE appointment so they can run their OHIP billables. He's very correct. Just sad it had to come to this.
