Since this lecture was recorded, Dr Peter Novak has discovered that some patients with this problem can be treated with vasodilators such as calcium-channel blockers. This is because, in some patients, the cerebral arteries are constricting abnormally, thus reducing the blood flow to the brain. Vasodilating medications can reduce this abnormal action. These patients may be identified by the fact that they have what looks like typical hypertension alongside their abnormal Doppler ultrasound results.

Thx for the video. I have now weak orgasms and low libido after taking 3 weeks LDN. I quit immediately but symptoms persisted since over 1,5 months now. I did not take ANYTHING else, and never ever experienced such symptoms before. My testo levels are through the roof, there is no erectile dysfunction, it's just the sexual sensations that blunted. Climax is no real pleasure (20%) and sexual desire not really there. I suspect it came from the opiate receptor blocking mechanism of LDN, which also makes sense, as the drug is used to get people off other pleasures like alcohol and shopping addiction. I was wondering what I can do to counteract these effects? Taking opiates to stimulate from the opposite side? Really concerned these symptoms stay persistent, like some sort of PSSD. Btw. another reason why I can clearly attribute these side effects to LDN, is that I am no longer tired after climax (0%), like I can come twice in 30min no problem, which seems fun, but not if you're not enjoying the act. It is known that LDN messes with prolactin, so just another piece of evidence, just don't wanna hear from anyone: it must be from other things. (I am 34 years young)

Ben al een lange tijd opzoek naar iets waar mijn symptomen bij passen. Maar bij POTS checken alle vakjes. Zit al wel aan de bètablokker maar mijn hard slag gaat nog alle kanten op. Door de bètablokker maak ik mij zelf niet gek en blijf ik rustig. Ik heb het waarschijnlijk gekregen door Hyperventilatie, en is het een soort van chronisch geworden. Als ik ontbijt eet heb ik er in de ochtend al last van. Bij niets eten tot 12 uur krijg ik pas last om 13 uur. Is er sinds 2013 al meer bekend hoe wij de symptomen kunnen bestrijden van POTS?

Nog maar 20 mensen gezien hè. Nog niet echt een gedegen onderzoek.

Bij mij is Fibromyalgie (ik weet niet of dit hetzelfde als ME is) vastgesteld. Ik voel en hoor mijn hart ook continu bonken in mijn linkerkant van mijn hoofd/oor maar het doet geen pijn. Is dit wat deze arts bedoeld met wat de twee verschillende zenuwen in de hersenen doorgeven? PS. Welk ziekenhuis is gespecialiseerd in patiënten met Fibromyalgie/CVS en ME en wat is de naam van 'n goed specialist? Bij voorbaat mijn vriendelijk dank.

OMG ik zie deze aflevering nu pas. En it makes so much sense! Mijn pieken in de ziekte (relapses) zijn altijd geweest rondom hormonale veranderingen (pre puberteit en puberteit, na mijn zwangerschappen en nu in de peri menopause) en ik voelde me ongelooflijk goed tijdens mijn zwangerschappen. Zeer interessant ik heb 4 jaar lang me tenen niet kunnen buigen. Nu een jaar geleden lukte het weer, maar vaak zeer moeilijk.

Fijn dat het serieus genomen wordt door deze neuropsycholoog. En het is schraal, wat een lege handen vanuit het reguliere vakgebied. B12 heeft mijn leven gered en ook alpha liponzuur maakte dat ik de ondertiteling weer bij kan houden. Het is echter de vraag waarom was mijn B12 geheel op. Althans niet in mijn bloed, maar kwam het mijn cellen niet in. Ik bleek door vele virussen, bacteriën en schimmelbelasting vol te zitten met infecties en vrije radicalen. Lyme at mijn mangaan op, terwijl ik ver bovengemiddeld gezond at. Alpha liponzuur was ook tekort door dit soort oorzaken. Weet al niet meer welke. Maar wil je echt iets doen voor mensen met ME/cvs dan heb je het in die hoek te zoeken en er enkelen die dat ook, zij het met veel inzet, aan kunnen pakken. Ik bof dat ik bij de goede behandelaar terecht gekomen ben en ook die heeft er een kluif aan. Pfeiffer, gordelroos, Cytamegalo en Lyme is maar een onderdeeltje van de belasting die ik verzameld heb. Wel herl ondermijnende virussen, Lyme is opgelost, die flink in hun hok geschopt moeten worden, want echt weg gaan ze niet meer. In het oude denken gaan ze er niet uitkomen.

Ik slaap meestal erg weinig maar verlies vooral veel energie door de adrenaline die er wordt aangemaakt snachts en de hoge spierspanning etc. Rusten is dus erg stressvol en uitputtend. Is dit een bekend symptoom? En hoe kan ik mijn systeem kalmeren zodat er wel rust mogelijk is? Bedankt!

I'm hearing that Low dose Naltrexone titrated up and down regularly from 1.5 to 3mg then to 5 and then back down and then back up, repeat and rinse.

It can be every infection and or a gut disbiosis
