- 2GB radio host Ray Hadley says he nearly fell off his chair after 2GB owner John Singleton announced he would go up against 2UE host John Laws in 2002.
Mr Hadley has marked 20 years as the number one in the morning slot with another win on Tuesday.
His 16.4 per cent share has placed him as the top rating morning show for the 158th consecutive survey dating back to 2004.
“Unbeknownst to me, Singo [John Singleton] had hatched a plan with the directors and announced after Alan [Jones] had gone through what he was intending to do that Ray Hadley would go up against John Laws,” Mr Hadley told Sky News host Steve Price.
“I nearly fell off my chair because I had gone there to call the football.”
Ray is a great caller of sport,on radio during the day he’s a straight shooter and good to the under dogs.
We must pray for the conversion of Muslims, Atheists and LGBT to Christianity. ✝️ 🙏 ✝️
Fk you. Christian Fundamentalists are just as bad.
Working every weekend and public holidays is not impressive.
An all around generous and great man.
Used to really enjoy listening to RH but his blind allegiances to vaccinations, Israel and the pro-western Ukraine narrative has left me thinking that he is not the straight shooter he makes out to be. He either doesn't check the facts or is outright lying to us. Either way, I can't put up with it anymore.
Good on you Ray. You are a real person sir.
a real person? as opposed to whom?.....
Hadley is that the crud between John Laws toes never heard of him.
Alan Jones made Ray Hadley. Hadley's ego is way too big to admit that though.
Ray should have won for that call, I didn't hear it though as I was in the stadium watching the race but heard it later as I watched the event on CZcams over the years, it was unbelievable to be there though. One thing that struck me was that Kathy was so small compared to the other runners who were all so athletic and strong looking, but once she started running she was like a gazelle in her movements so fluid graceful and light and that suit made her look even more so, what an experience to be there.
Hadley thanked everyone except the one person that helped catapult him into success and that was Alan Jones.
Congratulations Ray having a good rating. and I mean it. Calling the football I’m glad it’s you doing it. Doing a great job. I like to listen to you every week day. Albanese sits in limousines and his own plane. No thank you I like to drive myself. Be don to earth and your better off.
why do people listen to this guy? sports commentator, not a politician, not a leader, not a doctor or lawyer, what am i missing?
Hadley is about to end up on the wrong side of history like many others.
There is a new intellectual born every day.
