- The Rwanda deportation policy is “dead and buried”, Sir Keir Starmer said, as Labour announced plans to release the last two migrants detained as part of the doomed scheme.
The Prime Minister said he was “not prepared to continue with gimmicks” as he confirmed the multimillion-pound plan to send some asylum seekers to Kigali is to be scrapped.
Hundreds of people who were held pending removal to the east African nation have since been bailed under the former Tory government, according to a spokesperson for Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.

I thought one of the main duties of a government was the safety of it’s people. Well, as a biological woman I can categorically state that many people who identify with me ARE NOT SAFE and neither are OUR CHILDREN. My son was telling me about the man he sees walk down his street every day that has a crutch which only touches the ground now and then and who has no trouble getting down the steps at the end of the path. He knows he doesn’t work and is of working age. I know of someone that has a good life, went for walks, away on holidays, went to the beach on nice days and very occasionally was poorly. Both these people are living off the state or should I say tax payers money. If we all know of two people that are not being totally honest when claiming, that’s a lot of people cheating the state.

iv got immigrants working with me most are young and are always on the sick i keep saying if ur sick 3 months in 6 months at 22 how are u going to keep working until ur 70 ?

Every illegal immigrant in every country in Europe and survives on money given by local people who give a few cents or possibly a euro is very obviously going to want to come to the UK. Why would anyone want to sleep in a shop doorway and have to spend hours begging for loose change when the can cross to the UK and be taken to a luxury hotel at our expense.
UK is screwed.
What else did Labour voters expect, let alone write off the millions that have already been spent to get rid of them. Against putting 100,000 of our own in houses first.
