This is one of the best tutorial videos you've done in my opinion, Matteo. Will be most helpful, thank you for posting!
Thanks for your nice comment! Glad to hear this! 😊👍
Awesome! I love my trx4 . Steering servo arm was the first thing that went after four months of me having lots of fun can't wait to get the brass upgrades
Thanks! Yes, I love mine TRX-4 too! 😊👍
Great upgrade video Matteo!! Always enjoy watching your work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
The rule of thumb is; whenever threading metal into metal, use thread lock. Love your accent and enjoy your videos immensely.
Thank you David! 🙏 Yes, I agree, thread lock is always good for metal in metal. 👍 Here I feel a slightly resistance at the end when I tighten the screws. Maybe because brass is a bit softer, so I thought it's maybe not necessary. 🤔
Looks good Yeah Racing Brass Upgrade
It's so heavy that I think it will go up well ~
Thanks! 🙏 Yes it works better now! 👍😊
I need some of these upgrades for my trx4! Looks awesome n will help perform good too! 👍👍👊👊📹📹💪💪

Thanks Jan Erik! 😊
Nice video, looks like a solid upgrade.
Thanks, yes it is! 👍
strong work! will use you as reference for my new Traxxas Ford Bronco
Thank you Frank! Have fun with your build! 👍👍😊
😊Nice you pimped that sucker out! I am getting the TRX4 sport can't wait to run it in the mountains!
did you see that the TRX4 sport has only a 2ch radio? The diffs are locked in contradiction to the Bronco, The Defender and the Assault version of the TRX-4 hence doesn't need extra 2 servo's. my 2ct.
Yep how the TRX4 should have been in the first place all that extra weight and stuff in the original makes for a less agile truck and the TRX4 should work much better now.
the sport is just a bare bones trx4. non-remote locking diffs... they're permanently locked. no 2-speed transmission...just 1 crawling gear. a simpler and lighter body, but otherwise the same. same chassis, same esc & motor, same axles
I know. The new body is cool and was thinking of ordering one (when it arrives in the Netherlands) but also got a MST CMX (locked diffs) and other build projects too. I like the 2 speed part of the regular TRX-4 so just let this one pass.
Thanks Steve! Cool, you getting the TRX-4 Sport! Nice simple machine. Looking forward to see your videos of it! 👍😊
Looks very impressive. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for your feedback Matt!
Thank you for this video!
Thanks for your nice comment! 👍😊
Wow that looks awesome!
Thanks 🙏 😊
Very cool and beautiful !
Thank you! 👍
Awesome upgrade under the belly of the beast..I too just dropped some 💰 on complete front and rear aluminum axles with all the bells and whistles. Brass is probably heavier but I was going for the stock look. Have you seen my trx4’s. I’ve designed some very nice and useful upgrades. You should check it out when you find the time 👍🏼
Thanks! Yes, It's great to upgrade and modify our RC's! 👍😊
Great upgrades 👍 and informative video matteo

good to see here, i was racking my brain trying to figure out if the brass c hub needed that bushing from stock c hub. Looks like i was right, it does not. Thanks good info in the vid

Great video!!!!!!
Thanks Derek! 🙏😊
Like 800! Woop woop
Bonne vidéo merci 👍👍✌️
Merci a toi! 👍😊
looks good
Thanks! 👍😊
Cool RC Truck and upgrade. But I think a Land Cruiser or Patrol Y60 Body for that Truck would make it more interesting for me.
Thanks David! 👍
New sub great video 👍🏾
Thanks! 👍👍😊
Could you please tell me what size those bearings are in the c hubs?
Love it
👍
Awesome video as usual! Have a question. Did you used thread lock on the screws or is that a no no on brass?
Thanks Chris! No, I think the screws will hold without thread lock. I could feel some resistance at the end when tighten.
well done
Thank you! 🙏
Looks like something Mr T would wear.
Haha, Yes indeed! 😂
Hi kk beautiful, i am very happy with your video and I have subscribed to your channel, and watch all your RC videos.
.. I really have an RC car like you kk ..
but in Indonesia, it's very difficult to get a car like that ...
because my salary is below the RC price.
i love you RC gear channel
Terima kasih banyak Saya bahagia! Saya berharap Anda banyak bersenang-senang!
That looks awesome Matteo. Double thumbs up. Just ordered the blazer and looking for upgrades for it already. If you honestly thing this yeah racing trx4 brass is good quality i would probably buy them to. Any good quality light kits you can recommend me for the blazer? Thanks for any good input. :)
Thanks Mike! I recommend the original light kit from Traxxas, a bit expensive but everything fits together and it works perfect.
Hello, thanks for your video-can you tell me what Interieur you use? I bought yesterday my trx4 and booking for Interieur and a driver-thx
Here you can see it: czcams.com/video/rSVdNqd7CIU/video.html
Hi Matteo, very very nice indeed, plenty of bling, you will need sunglasses when you look at it lol.
The extra weight must make a big difference to the handling.
On a slightly different tack, do you know of any different wheels and tyres that look more like the real thing for the Citroen 2CV, I'm not fussed on the kit wheels and tyres, to small and wide. Any help would be appreciated. Great video as usual Matteo. 😀👍👍👍
Thanks Mike! I think it will be difficult to find something accurate for the Citroen. Maybe from some static scale models. But this will be reduce the RC performance extremely. 🤔
Great video! Did you have to upgrade the shocks for the added weight?
Thanks! No, because the weight its on the axle, and this is under the dampers / not supportet by the dampers.
Hi first of all congratulations for the very exhaustive video, wanted to know if they can be mounted on my "RC Land Rover Defender | Double E D110" scale 1: 8? I thank you in advance.
Hello
Hi Marco, I do not think this will fit on this. This is only designed for a TRX-4 chassis. 😊
@@Matteomeier grazie
I want to get in the RC world. I want to get a Traxxas trx4 like yours.... The way they come stock is good? Or do I need to modify it.? Also the body looks super cool either the defender or the bronco but I would like to have a jeep body
The TRX-4 is very good, out of the box. If you like Jeeps maybe you sould have a look at the Axial SCX-10III:

www.axialracing.com/products/axi03003t1
Bigger motor to get wheelie back 😆 looks beefy! Buying this kit now for my Bronco. Are there any other decent weight options you know about for the rear axle besides the diff cover? The portal cover weights look the same I suppose. I don’t want to use wheel weights. Nice upload👍
Thanks! On the rear axle you can also install the brass portal gear covers or this ones: www.yeahracing.com/catalog/trx4054-brass-118g-portal-cover-front-rear-2pcs-traxxas-trx4-p-4449.html
www.yeahracing.com/catalog/trx4019-brass-front-rear-portal-cover-traxxas-trx4-p-4223.html
Do you have to lengthen the steering link and drag link to make the wheels straight?
No, don't think so.
Matteo, do you use softer oil in your shocks for more realistic articulation?
No, I have the stock oil in.
I installed this yeah racing brass kit. I put on a new servo first and centered the steering. Now my steering is off some and I can not turn my wheels by grabbing the wheels and turning. Seems like it’s binding. The 2 links I took are on correct. Any idea?
NO idea, but I think there must be something wrong installed....
Matteo's RC Movies I found it. It was the 2 steering horns one on each side of the portal. I didn’t put lock tight or tighten them. They were moving and binding when I turned. Tightened and lock tight and it’s fine now.
I dont like how you will need to cut the drive shaft. Did u have to cut it because that was a custom longer driveshaft?
The drive shafts fits directly without cut in the TRX-4 Defender. But the TRX-4 Bronco have a shorter wheelbase, so only for use in the Bronco this shorten is necessary.
I noticed that the bearings in the portal hubs had a seal on only one side? Tried watching again but not 100% sure, if I'm not mistaken I think you might have put the bearings in the wrong way, side without the seal should be inside with the gears and grease, seals facing out to prevent dirt intrusion. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Love all your videos.
Thank you! I think bearings are on both side sealed... but i'm not sure... 😃😃
nice upgrades i sub ;)
Thanks for comment and sub! 🙏
Matteo's RC Movies you'r welcome 😉 can you sub to mine please ?
👍
I want all these parts. Just destroyed my stock portal axle gears on TR4 Blazer. 2nd day owning it, on flat ground. Think it was a defect.
Yes, there must be something wrong. Have mine over 2 years without this problem.
What steering servo are people buying after the oem breaks?
I use: Power HD Servo LW-25MG
I'm wondering if the turning radius has been effected by the different knuckle and C hub.
No, there is not much different to the stock steering. 👍
Good to know, thank you for the reply.
Did you use a spacer when connecting the inner portal to the steering link?
No, I do not have a spacer there.
@@Matteomeier Thanks for the response. Great videos!
Did you cut the tube of the drive shaft only, or as well the shaft? How much did you cut? (I ordered the same items) Thanks for reply.
Yes, shorten only the tube. It was about 10mm.
Thanks a lot for your kind help.@@Matteomeier
.. saya sangat sekali memiliki mobil RC seperti anda kk..
I love you chanel ❤❤
Terima kasih banyak Saya bahagia! Saya berharap Anda banyak bersenang-senang!
Awesome! I just wish they came in black. I don’t think I’ll like the bright gold finish under my blue TRX4 G Wagon.
Yes, this is understandable, maybe they can be painted... 😊
Wow, enough blue grease to repack the bearings on a LC70
Two years on, how do you rate this upgrade Matteo? Is it worth while and have you have any issues with the parts? Many thanks for sharing
It's still good, everything works perfect.
Matteo's RC Movies Great!
Muchas gracias!
They send it to Spain: www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-brass-upgrade-parts-set-for-traxxas-trx-4-trx4-6-g6-certified-trx4-s01-00076798
Get some stainless or brass screws. The steel may oxidize and screw up brass. Also brass needs recoated often.
did they give you the longer screws
Yes

No sealant in housing joints?
A bit of grease can help for this. 👍😊
Where did you get your interior and person inside the truck??
Here you can see how I do it normally: czcams.com/video/rSVdNqd7CIU/video.html
And this is the deluxe edition: czcams.com/video/8pUZKu_zJAQ/video.html
Matteo's RC Movies thank you!
Super video 👌 ich habe gerade meinen ersten traxxas Defender gekauft 🥰 also mein erstes RC Uto überhaupt 😅 vorher bur hubschrauber. Könntest du mir eventuell schmier und fett produkte empfehlen?
Danke dir!
Didnt know dracula plays rc car till now.
Be careful he will suck your blood... 👹
Bronco❤❤
🙏😊
Can this be put on the TR4 Sport?
Yes, this is possible.
what about brass on the back axles
Of course this can be installed also. But I prefered only the front axle, because is good to have more weight on the front to climb steep trails. And all the parts are not cheap...
I've watched loads of vids like this and the only upside is climbing, everything else is a downside. Snake oil you don't need, Money that does not need to be spent.
That's why I only equipped one of my crawlers with these things, I agree with you...
Do you have to grease the gears back up
Yes, every time I open a gearbox I apply a bit of new grease.
Waw...thats what am talking about...
but how does it take hi speed turns now
This is a crawler and not made for high speed...👍😊
Do you think trx4 portals would go into a redcat gen 8
Oh, I don't know. But I think this could be possible...
But you should use the axles from the TRX-4 Sport, without lookable diffs.
*lockable*
how much did the brass parts cost?
You can find the link in the video description, there you can see the price.
What grease did you use?
It's a MoS2 grease from a local hardware store, usable also on real bikes and cars.
Thank you, I recently picked up a trx6 and I just wanted to be prepared for maintenance.
