The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with
one another, and they will be
resolved again into their own roots.
    23) For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone.
    24) He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
    25) Peter said to him, Since you have explained everything to us, tell us this
also: What is the sin of the
    world?
    26) The Savior said There is no sin, but it is you who make sin when you do
the things that are like the nature
of adultery, which is called sin.
    27) That is why the Good came into your midst, to the essence of every nature
in order to restore it to its root.
    28) Then He continued and said, That is why you become sick and die, for you
are deprived of the one who
    can heal you.
    29) He who has a mind to understand, let him understand.
    30) Matter gave birth to a passion that has no equal, which proceeded from
    something contrary to nature.
Then there arises a disturbance in its whole body.
    31) That is why I said to you, Be of good courage, and if you are discouraged
    be encouraged in the presence
of the different forms of nature.
    32) He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
    33) When the Blessed One had said this, He greeted them all, saying, Peace be
    with you. Receive my peace
    unto yourselves.
    34) Beware that no one lead you astray saying Lo here or lo there! For the Son
    of Man is within you.
    35) Follow after Him!
    36) Those who seek Him will find Him.
    37) Go then and preach the gospel of the Kingdom
    38) Do not lay down any rules beyond what I appointed you, and do not give a
law like the lawgiver lest you
    be constrained by it.
    39) When He said this He departed.
    Chapter 5
    1) But they were grieved. They wept greatly, saying, How shall we go to the
Gentiles and preach the gospel of
the Kingdom of the Son of Man? If they did not spare Him, how will they spare
    us?
    2) Then Mary stood up, greeted them all, and said to her brethren, Do not
weep and do not grieve nor be
irresolute, for His grace will be entirely with you and will protect you.
    3) But rather, let us praise His greatness, for He has prepared us and made us
    into Men.
    4) When Mary said this, she turned their hearts to the Good, and they began to
    discuss the words of the
    Savior.
    5) Peter said to Mary, Sister we know that the Savior loved you more than the
    rest of woman.
    6) Tell us the words of the Savior which you remember which you know, but
we do not, nor have we heard
    them.
    1) When Mary had said this, she fell silent, since it was to this point that the
    Savior had spoken with her.
    2) But Andrew answered and said to the brethren, Say what you wish to say
about what she has said. I at least
do not believe that the Savior said this. For certainly these teachings are
    strange ideas.
    3) Peter answered and spoke concerning these same things.
    4) He questioned them about the Savior: Did He really speak privately with a
woman and not openly to us?
Are we to turn about and all listen to her? Did He prefer her to us?
    5) Then Mary wept and said to Peter, My brother Peter, what do you think? Do
you think that I have thought
this up myself in my heart, or that I am lying about the Savior?
    6) Levi answered and said to Peter, Peter you have always been hot tempered.
    7) Now I see you contending against the woman like the adversaries.
    8) But if the Savior made her worthy, who are you indeed to reject her? Surely
    the Savior knows her very
    well.
    9) That is why He loved her more than us. Rather let us be ashamed and put
on the perfect Man, and separate
as He commanded us and preach the gospel, not laying down any other rule or
    other law beyond what the
    Savior said.
    10) And when they heard this they began to go forth to proclaim and to
    preach.
In this video we discuss the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, found among the Coptic Egyptian Nag Hamadi Scriptures in the 19th century.

Mary Magdalene has special knowledge. She healed a stubborn toothache for me in January 2022. She often has good advice for me. I also know she was as close to Jesus as His mother Mary. I saw both of them cry equally hard at the crucifixion, which God time traveled me to in 1995. I have never seen humans cry as hard as the 2 Marys cried at the crucifixion !!

The Gospel of Mary is my favorite Noncanonical text because I have such a love and reverence for Mary Magdalene. Elizabeth Schrader-Polczer has done work on Mary Magdalene and she theorizes that Martha, Mary of Bethany, and Mary Magdalene are the same person and that Martha was added in later versions of John, particularly in the Greek manuscripts to lessen Mary as a main character during that time and in Jesus' life. You did a wonderful job presenting the Gospel and Dr. Litwa spoke so beautifully about it. This is my favorite video that you've done.

  • @tracys3096
    @tracys3096 Před rokem +3

It's interesting the amount of literary parallels in this text. Women are told to stay quiet by the third century. Mary is told to stay quiet though she has the superior intellectual understanding and relational closeness. Mary's vision of the soul ascending to silence. I wonder if this is more than mere coincidence.

Great job (though it is clear that the proto orthodox and Orthodox always saw these later dated gnostic texts as spurious / not in keeping with the testimony of apostolic tradition). Gnostic dualism and it's esoteric emphasis is one thing... but not the same, and actually opposed to the pre Christian Jewish view of the Messiah and the testimony of the synoptic gospels and the gospel of John: the entrance of the Messiah and Word of creation, the Son of man, into the originally "good" creation in order to ultimately recreate it and eventually establish a spiritualised physical kingdom - via and in the Hypostatic Union - through His death and resurrection. He "recapitulated" all things (Irenaeus 2nd cent) and the free gift of relationship with Himself - the Personal transcendent God - is for all who will receive it, and not just for the initiated esoteric elite with the special gnosis. This, Irenaeus, Justin, Clement, Cyril, Origen, Athanasius and the Cappadocians etc would all affirm X

The image of male and female is not sexist. These are symbols to take you deeper.
In the Ðào Dé Jīng, the symbols used as codes of virtue are female and left.
In gnostic Christian wisdom writings, these symbols for codes of virtue are male and right.
The symbols are not written in stone. They are different, from culture to culture. The symbol is arbitrary. It is simply pointing to a deeper dimension that is wordless, ineffable and nameless.

Spiritually speaking (gender aside), matriarchal (gnostic) wisdom can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God).
Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth). The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle.
As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8).
Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process.
In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld, her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle.
Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as head to tail (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12:3)
To carry the Ankh was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle.
Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face.
A whole temple was dedicated to the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. czcams.com/video/J0m0zJSEFK0/video.html

Christ said. Do not worship me for that is idolatry and of mortality of men. Mary you shall break with tradition and carry life through me and the child which is light. They will denounce and ridicule our bond as a new age will deny the responsibility of honour and the fragility of our trust. They will be no other distraction for God will guide you through discipline of work which is absolute and true. You will die for this cause and reveal the life giver who is your only friend. You will complete this induction in poverty and deformation but that jealousy will provide them with relief of ignorance which is their salvation from responsibility. To you I will give you honour and dignity. Many women will seek men as carriage to comfort but for you it will leave your body and through allegiance to the creator and the will of his son who holds your hand and guides your spirit without disallusionment. 😢

" All the great disciples in the world were women. Buddha had thousands of disciples, but the proportion has always been the same: three women, one man. So was the proportion with Mahavir. He had forty thousand sannyasins: ten thousand men, thirty thousand women. And so was the case with Jesus. The really devoted people around him were not the men but the women. When he was crucified, all the men escaped, there was not a single man. All those so-called ‘apostles’ had all disappeared, but the women were there. Three women were there: they had no fear, they were ready to sacrifice themselves. When Jesus was taken down from the cross, it was not by men - those disciples had gone far away, and one or two were there but they were hiding in the crowd women took down the body. And it is very significant that when Jesus appeared after three days, resurrected, he appeared first to Mary Magdalen, not to a man. This is very significant. Why? What about those twelve apostles? Why to Mary Magdalen? And she immediately recognized him, and she rushed to him and she said ‘So, My Lord, you are still alive!’…When she went to tell the male disciples that Jesus was resurrected, they laughed. They said ‘Woman, you are hallucinating.’ And they laughed and they said ‘This is how women always are - imaginative, dreaming, romantic. Now look at this foolish woman. Jesus is dead. We have seen him die on the cross with our own eyes.’ But she cried and she said ‘Listen to me. I have seen him.’ But they would not listen.
A woman can be a perfect disciple, and this is how it should be. Woman is receptive, an opening, a womb. They have never been Masters in the sense that men have been Masters - like Mahavir, Buddha, Zarathustra, Lao Tzu. No, they have never been Masters like that. But there have never been disciples like women; no man has ever been able to equal them as far as disciplehood is concerned. And let me tell you this, that as far as this division of male and female is concerned, the female mind is more blessed. Because the real thing is to receive the truth, the real thing is not to give it that is secondary. And a woman is always more total than a man. Whenever she receives the truth, she becomes luminous: her whole body, her whole being shows it; she carries an aura. Have you not seen a woman who is pregnant, how beautiful she becomes? Her face glows, she is carrying a new life within her. And this is nothing compared to a woman who really becomes a disciple. She is carrying God himself within her. Her glory is infinite.”

I hope you also see that this type of discredit works to undermine the authenticity of all scripture. Essentially your saying the writer is a liar because these is an account of the actual apostles. It's not about being Christian or following Christianity, nor is it about religion to follow and worship Jesus. "Religion is the seed of the serpent satan, doesn't come across the throne of God at all. It's about being Is'real; meaning true fellowship and steadfast partnership with love. God is love, Jesus did not teach to label ourselves as Christians. If so show me this, we are called to be fishers of men. To say Jesus loved Mary more than others is false, cause he died and suffers still to this day for all of creation, not just her.
Also; if Jesus did marry Mary Magdeline and then after made love to her, had children etc... he still lived a perfect life. Reason being is that it not a sin to have sex once married. It's a sin to have premarital sex, not saying that it did happen, but could have. And honestly that would be beautiful, why would it so wrong that Jesus had children of his own. Jesus is the hier to all things, he deserves to have his own children and he loves us just as much as his father, if not even more. Cause he battled his father and satan to stand for all of us long before we even existed today.
"I knew you before you were in womb and wished to prosper you."
Jesus did not have to die for us, no one made him do that. But in this world which even back then belonged fully to satan, who is the God of this world; the only way we could be saved was for Jesus to defeat, overcome, and destroy what satan put in place in this world. It was a requirement that Jesus went through that, Jesus could have said no and called his angels down to destroy all of those people that tried to crucify him. But he chose, out of unconditional love to go through 6 hours of torture, he was literally sweating blood from the stress of all of our sin on him, then beaten lashed and hung on that cross till death. Then went to hell literally for three days, which by the way time is different in hell, just as heaven is outside time, so is hell. So if 1,000 years is but a day, and a day is but a 1,000 years. Did Jesus spend more time in hell than what we believe. Remember folks, the very end of revelation says; " If anyone were to take away from or change the words of this book, they will be liable for all the plagues of this book, and thier names will be taken out of the book of life damning them."
So much was changed and taken away, read the Revelation of Adam, talks about a human man that is in the world today. Unaffected by the sorcery and witchcraft of this world. This man would baffle all the wicked powers that be in the world, and even scare all the God's and Goddesses. Just all I ask if don't just do research, please seek Jesus's face daily and diligently. If all the knowledge there is to know was written in books, there wouldn't be enough room in the earth to hold th3 book. That's why Jesus said pray in the spirit, cause those who pray in the spirit he will reveil great mysteries to!!! And all that was hidden will be made seen/known!!!
