The first century of Christianity is shrouded in mystery. What we know for sure, compared to what we are told by traditional accounts is wide ranging and extremely problematic. The earliest Christian documents we have are letters from Paul, dating to the 40s-50s and early 60s. Only 7 of them are considered to by authentic and written by one author. These letters from Paul contain the most important details about Jesus being crucified. We have letters from John and Peter, which may not be authentic, but are nevertheless, late 1st century and early 2nd century texts written by Christians. Most scholars date the 3 Synoptic Gospels to the late 1st and early 2nd century, starting with Mark around 70, then Matthew between 85-95, and Luke-Acts in the early to middle of the 2nd century. The Gospel of John also is dated by most scholars between the 90s and 140s. All four of these gospels did not have names of authors attached to them until the end of the 2nd century. So we don't even know if they really were written by Mark, Matthew, Luke or John. These titles were given by later Church fathers. The earliest physical fragments of these texts that we have are from the late 2nd and 3rd century. And the oldest full copy of the bible in existence is Codex Sinaiticus from 325 AD. The Gospel of Thomas, which was once an important early christian text, is dated between late 1st and early 2nd century (some even arguing that it could be the oldest) but was not selected among the Biblical Canon by the Church fathers in the 4th century. Although it's impact on early Christianity was massive. Outside of that, there is a plethora of gospels and texts produced by early christians in the 2nd century that will be discussed later in the video.
In the 4th century, Eusibius provides a detailed list of the early Church Bishops in Antioch, Rome, Alexandria, Athens, Corinth, Smyrna and others. These lists show a direct continuation from the apostles like Andrew, consecrating the father of the Heretic Marcion, Philologus, the first bishop of Sinope as well as consecrating the first bishop of Corinth, named Apollos, who is mentioned in Paul's letters. And Mark being the first bishop of Alexandria consecrated by Peter, with Peter being the first bishop of both Antioch and Rome, consecrating both Linus and Evodius. And of course, they list James as the leader and first bishop of the Church of Jerusalem. And from them are the 70 apostles listed in Acts, with names that look familiar to people mentioned in Paul's letters. These elaborate lists of succesion show what appears to be a United Church that has a direct line of Orthodoxy from Jesus down to Constantine.
However, the primary sources show this to be not only problematic, but impossible in some cases. Many of the sources conflicting lists with each other and people considered to be alive in certain times are somehow alive in times when they should be dead. And the survinving texts we have are so few and far between, that it becomes a nightmare to try to peice it all together.
The truth is, early Chrisitianity was far from united. It was so diverse that I would argue Christians in the first two centuries were farther apart than a Moorman is today with a Catholic.

I grew up Catholic, questioned it a lot, and decided not to be at 12. I just didn't believe a lot of what they were telling me. Eventually after much trial and error with other Christian sects and western new age, I found Tibetan Buddhism and settled for that for a long time. Then I lived in India, with Kashmiris, where Sufism is inherent in the culture, and helped Afghani refugees, for years. Both taught me much about Islam. So being constantly surrounded by Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and other Hindu variants, and 3 different branches of Islam, all mostly on a daily basis, I couldn't help but notice the similarities, which I've been looking into since. Mostly academically through historical data. For example, just now, The story you told of being "kept in the dark" in the garden of Eden, and being liberated from it, reminded me of Siddhartha's upbringing. Very difficult to learn, and so eventually gain true enlightenment and liberation , without adversity. My biggest question now is "Why?" Why did God (or insert own ideology here) do it, knowing it was going to cause a lot of suffering? It really pisses me off sometimes, more on behalf of other sentients than for myself. I have come up with a few theories but have no actual evidence to back them up and I still can't fully wrap my tiny, fallible, human brain around the concept of an eternal universe with no beginning or end, just recycling or Nirvana, as Hindu teachings say, so the creation story you told appeased me somewhat. Makes sense along with the cult of Yahweh apparently merging with the cult of El at some point, for geo-political reasons. I think I was born Hindu/Buddhist AND Gnostic/Sufi and just didn't know it. And here I am at age 56, finding some of the holes in my understanding of what I suspect is the big picture, are covered by yet another religious ideology and lesser known doctrines. And I'm loving every moment of it.
Please pardon my ramblings. I'm trying to quit smoking and nibbling after dinner. Writing helps a lot. Keeps the hands busy.
I quit smoking at about 54, and it was very difficult. Kicked like a mule for 9 days. After that, I had to go week by week and had to re-arrange my entire life. It was based around smoking, and smoking was a consideration in everything I did and everywhere I went. After six months, I knew I hade made it and would never go back to tobacco. It's been over 11 years now, and I still think it was one of the best decisions I have made.
I felt drawn to a book, The Life and Teachings of Gautama the Buddha, in my early twenties. I stole the book from a library and read it. I understood it. The first thing I did was stop stealing. I began to wander as a homeless monk on and off for a couple years, and eventually wrote a check to the library to repay the loss after getting my feet on solid ground. it was miraculous the way God provided for me, so long as I stayed on this path. I eventually returned to Christianity because I was raised Christian, and my family claimed to be for the most part. I had corrected my errant ways and hoped I could help my family. Christianity had seemed to be a show for me. My parents always took us to church dressed up on Sunday, but they were back to smoking, drinking, and cussing by the time we got home. They were decent people, but our family was dysfunctional. I nearly died of a drug overdose at 17.
I pursued Christianity for twenty years as an adult, reading the bible, attending bible studies, tithing, all that stuff. I was on a worship team and wrote Gospel music. I eventually left Christianity out of frustration and disappointment. I learned about many of the denominations. It seemed too shallow and superficial and at times just ridiculous (speaking in tongues, fake laying on of hands, etc.). I studied other world religions, became a yoga instructor and learned a lot about Christianity by learning about the other religions. Whereas the Hindu religion grew organically from India after the Vedic texts, it became evident to me that Christianity was created by Rome for the initial purpose of ending Judaism. Later, Emperor Constantine used it as a means to consolidate the Roman Empire, replacing the many mythologies and Pagan religions with Christ. Even Islam (the Moors) once promulgated the acquisition of wisdom and knowledge, pouring through and translating Greek and Roman knowledge and advancing science and technology. And yet Christianity has always seemed to prefer keeping the masses in the dark and the clergy of the church having the knowledge to read, write, and maintain the scriptures to maintain their power over the masses.
The past twenty years of the internet has made the world a smaller place, and it has allowed many to contribute to the process of piecing together a better picture of world history. The Christian Church never mentioned the crusades, the Roman Empire's control through Christianity, or the two one-thousand year long Christian empires of the Holy Romans and the Byzantines. Once I could study world history I began to see a clearer picture of how Christianity came about, and why evangelicals seem to be so far out there. They are accepting second or third or tenth hand knowledge of those who don't know much more than they do. They haven't kept up with the advances in our knowledge and still believe that Columbus discovered America and America was founded as a Christian nation.
Now I see Christianity and it's acceptance by many in the US and its leadership positions to be in opposition to the world peace process. They refuse any sort of sharing among the nations or religions and insist upon their vision of Jesus returning to earth and ruling as a king from Jerusalem for a thousand years. I am not kidding. I watched a Calvary Chapel sermon on this a couple of weeks ago in a series on Revelations. Their vision of the future is not unlike the Timothy LaHaye "Left Behind" series, which is sadly the most common view of Revelations in America.
Before the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim peoples of the world can ever live together, they will need to stop fighting over whose scriptures are true and who really knows God. The Bahai Faith (175 years old) attempts to bring these three religions together in Baha'u'llah, and believe that God sent messengers to all the populations of the world, including Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, and others. Looking at current world events, it seems like a big challenge, one that will require the widespread deconstruction of the scriptures of the Abrahamic religions and a refitting around the Bahai scriptures. Probably more difficult than stopping smoking.
The Jordan, Euphrates, Bow and EL-bow are all rivers 🙌 ALLELUIA 🙌 A-men' 🌾
I followed many flavors of Christianity for a while and finally at 42 I found my Pagan roots, specifically Norse and even more specifically Freyja. So many stories passed down throughout humanity. The flood stories may be tied to the end of our first ice age and the melting glaciers covering so many people’s lands. The traumatic stories could be tied to the world’s peoples losing their homes and land to the rising waters. From what I saw it wasn’t a very slow process but was pretty quick. Who knows in the end since the worlds people have basically been playing the biggest telephone game in existence. LOL
The way I see it is that all religion was born out of a way for people to feel like they have control over things they don't, but it always inevitably got choked up by the beliefs and ways of the culture that created it. And, when those cultures became powerful or wealthy often so too did the religious class and ot became yet another kind of chain for just as many as it gave peace to.
I sincerely believe that Christianity, Islam & Bhuddism sprang from a sort of desperate defiance of the problems of the old ways, thinking that they were making something better, when all the new ways have just as many problems as the old- maybe even moreso, since these are "conquering religions," who need to constantly move into new places & subjugate them to replace the old. While some conquerors did this, & ancient peoples might have laughed at ways that didn't match their own ways or beliefs, old religions, themselves, didn't do this & the new religion can often be devious, harsh & rely heavily on shaming basic human nature & fear mongering in order to thrive at all. That is their mistake & that is why they are just beginning to die off, today.
If you're still searching, I'd recommend "Bhagavad-gita As It Is", by Bhaktivedanta. It's not Hindu or anything else. It describes not a goal of endless rebirths, and certainly not eternal hell, and not even a materialistic heaven. This commented translation, and others by him, explain and offer a future unlike taught by any religion. (I am a direct disciple of this self-realized author and assisted in publishing these works. I promise you, you'll find answers.)
I always felt like Christianity had so much potential to make the world better as a philosophy. I also intuitively felt like the religion we have today is nothing like what Yeshua meant it to be.
I personally find it entertaining that people need something presented as holy scripture to take the message seriously
@@I_dreamed_my_name_was_Brandon I don't think we should have holy script at all. We should just be decent, mindful people.
Well there's no Yeshua, so it's whatever we want it to be.

It seems to me that early Christianity was more concerned with ethics and the pursuit of finding one's connection with God and selfless service to the community. What is preached in most evangelical churches today in the US like Christian nationalism, dispensationalism and the prosperity gospel is so far removed from the original teachings
And imo the original church tried to define what’s necessary to get that connection, like some sort of guide. But I guess got too strict and narrow. Then they split into orthodox and Roman Catholic. And from there a bunch of people who said “my interpretation is better” creating hundred of Protestant denominations that got lost in the details and use rock concerts instead of school worship.
The original teachings and idea of the original church died a long time ago, what we see today is just a watered down evolved version of Christianity birthed out of selfishness instead of selflessness. I am personally not a believer btw, this is just what I have gathered from research and observation
New Testament is always struck me as an exercise in antisemitism and acquiescence to greco- Roman imperial power. opposed to Judaism & The Original Testament in its Original language ie Biblical Hebrew.
@@stoggsherfnik4569 Whereas most religions go through a period of "blooming" into a more accessible approach to God, one not requiring a priest class and ability to read scripture, Christianity came to end the law of Moses (that God required animal sacrifices to resolve petty grievances). Rather, love one another and do what it good. Simple and available to all.
The Jews were relentless, waiting for their messiah, refusing to cooperate with the Greeks or the Jews. They wanted another David to defeat Rime. The Romans just wanted to make things uniform so that they could efficiently run their empire. I believe that they had significant and major influence over the formation of Christian theology and the religion. It worked. They ended paganism and mass converted the entire empire.
Christianity has went through many two millenia plus and has changed so many times it cannot be counted

This was phenomenal. I had heard of some of those 'heretics' before but hadn't realized just how diverse the Mediterranean really was. When I was deconstructing my faith, it struck me so often just how radical Jesus' message really was for its time. Also it's so clear that Jesus says call no one Master, Father, or Teacher for One is your Master, Father, and Teacher. No wonder why Church controlled who could read the Bible for so long.
Thanks for all the work you put into this. It was so good!

So your father, your mother's husband, is not your father? Your parents aren't your teachers? The adults, the teachers, who have taught you things- aren't teachers? Explain
@@amyrenee1361 I believe Jesus was saying that his disciples were to treat each other equally. To not regard status or gender or anything that would place one above someone else.
That’s why he talked about taking the lowest seat of honor, and why he washed his disciples feet, which was the job for a servant, not a master.
It’s quite funny then how quickly his followers left that egalitarian ideal behind and started having bishops and then eventually the pope.
Also, regarding natural family, Jesus was quite clear about that you had to let them go, and love him more than anything.

I can't go on. This begins in ignorance of the naming of gospels. Works of literature were named with a translation of the first words of the work, which is usually also the subject. ("In the beginning" becomes the Greek translation, "Genesis." Mark is a Hebrew word which is used in the Old Testament for our first steps in faith--preparation of the heart. Jesus began with 12 disciples/students. Evangelists were sent out and many thousands attended his meetings on the hills. 70 more disciples were called and then "the other 70." The gospel of John represents class notes of one of the most advanced students. So, the gospels are from four different classes of students. The mysteries there cannot be comprehended without "eyes to see" and having already learned the lessons of Mark, Matthew and luke. We are not going to learn much from CZcams. Faith is a journey. If you have felt the love of God drawing you, make a decision to believe. People believe what they choose. That's why it's called faith. Evidence follows. One day, you will receive your evidence, but not be believed. I could tell you about my evidence. But you really need your own experience. It begins with God talking to you through the Bible. These words were actually "breathed" into the ear and written down. And you can talk to God (prayer.) You will find that God's word is answering your prayer. ▪︎. Get together with others and remember that we are all imperfect.

You keep talking about papacy in the early centuries, but it didn't exist. Bishops of Rome were simply Bishops of Rome. They didn't claim the title Papas/Papa until the 6th century. (Bishops of Alexandria claimed it from the 3rd century.)
Lets take a walk...FOLLOW ME for a sec! Before Religion became known for what it is today & took the many forms it has you 1st got to understand THEY'RE ALL PREDICATED off the same "RE-TOLD" Stories of Acient Sumeria about the STORY OF CREATION (that tie into the findings & teachings from Zachariah Stichin & even Billy Carson) as the BASE or roots. Then the confusion begins to take place when the ways of life were more closely related amonst the different factions of the Annunaki & descendants that includes East Indians/Dravidians ; and I feel its why Hinduism includes polytheism because its more "honest" stories about the Annunaki that include vsriations of similar accounts of: the Neteru , council or 9 and 24 elders etc. etc. I feel Judaism is FAITH BASED way of life that a reintroduced form of HINDUISM with the idea of Monotheism that still had the MYSTICISM attached to the way of life that (both have roots to the Emerald Tablets & teachings of Thoth) which creates the TORAH but then later on more aspects of Hinduism (by way of Greeks pilgrimages) bring the Philosophical Yogi-influenced teachings that mixed with Roman ideals to then form early ways of CHRISTIANITY (based of Philosophical teachings to obtain enlightening as Christ consciousness) for then the known figure of Yashua tranforms into Zeus/ious to Jesus which was inspired by KRISHNA! Just like Brahma inspired Abraham. Then Islam (IMO) followed as an attempt to CLEAN UP the "magic"/mysticism kabbalic ways tied to Judaism with still acknowledging the monotheism but other forms of adopted ideals of Hinduism. So when you dig deep enough, all while knowing this info is retold over many many times for over hundreds of thousands of years & wit untold & incorrectly told info it should then make a lil better sense!
Don't confuse authoritative meaning and literal meaning. Pope as "prince of Bishops" in meaning was present very early, while the title name evolved as still today in the East in Alexandria there is a pope as title name, but who does not refer or is referred to himself as prince of bishop

"WHAT IF I TOLD YOU..." [*Morpheus voice] ALL this is based off the Story of Creation that evolves around the accounts of the Annunaki that lead up to the genetic engineering of the homoerectus to then copulation with the offspring of them! There were four main steams of Christianity in the first and second century AD. (Apostles, Pauline, Marcian, and Gnositc).
Three were done away with by Rome as they made the religion as literal as possible and ensured the church held the power. They made it Orthodox, and Pauline - centric.

Amazing job but what saddens me is that too many commenting below think this makes everything these former groups taught a lie. Myths awaken the subconscious mind and can spark genuine experiences of apotheosis. Zoe /Sophia is a particularly potent archetype as every mystic, myself included, can testify. She is the spirit of life that commingles with you in ecstatic bliss that the ancient ones called being twice born. It is an out of body timeless experience of profound peace and wellness beyond words. I know because it happened to me.

These details only enliven my faith as a Byzantine Catholic
Glory to Jesus Christ, the Son of God
Glory to Zoe, the breath of God
Glory to God the Father of all

Also Neo-Platonic writings by Iamblichus and Ploninus
All of these have enlivened my faith better connecting me to the origins of the ancient path
They are false, it is pretty clear to historians that gnostic documents do not come from first century Jewish writters, unlike the canon documents, that have so much information that only a first century Judean ould know.

@@MinisterRedPill I went from baptist to atheist to anti-theist to a chaote-pagan quantum-animist who views gods as egregores, as man made works of art worth understanding and integrating, as the shadows cast by the jungian archetypes on human culture. The gods of various cultures got along fine with various scuffles and the practices of various peoples evolved ethically alongside Philosophy until this one god who was really into genocide and human sacrifice ( read numbers lol ) claimed a monopoly on religion and demanded the followers of all other gods be killed or converted, and for an entire tradition of female scientists to be burned at the stake for hundreds of years, at the same time as convincing people to hate their body and their desires. Religion has really went downhill ever since the blood god took over imo, so my personal spiritual project is to combine a historical approach to the concept of deity with an approach to practice that blends Jungian mythic analysis with nature worship. We either become a symbiotic species or the host body will purge the parasite. Dogmatic materialism and Abrahamicism both reduce Gaia to dead property to plunder and both roads lead to death.

You can seperate God from religion, and I say everyone should do so. That there is a Creator God, and yes Jesus was his son who died for all humanity. That much is true. But to think the writings in the bible are divine and without error, and how most religions practice a faith that is "do as I say, not as I do" you can see the practicality of what I say. A perfect example is he Catholic church who for hundreds of years from the beginning of the church held Sunday service in Latin, but 99% of the people did not speak or read Latin you can see the problem. Also, Sunday not Monday is the first day of the week, and the calendar used to have 13 months of 28 days each and was based on the moon not the sun. It was late 1700's when there was the change to our new calendar. I have not the reason why, except to screw everybody up. But if you wish to find oneself, and learn about God one must look inward to oneself and connect to their soul. Through your soul are your prayers heard. Just remember to maybe hit the Big Guy up on any day but Sunday as he is a bit overwhelmed on that day. lol Man is all 3 mind, body, and spirit. And all three must be cared for equally to be a full healthy complete person. If you feel there is something out of balance in your life (and hanks to modern world) that imbalance is most likely caused by caring primarily for the body, and not the other two. It's not your fault, it is how we have been taught incorrectly primarily due to religion. You know that voice in your head when you "think"? That's your soul. Listen to it as it is your moral guide in the world and whether you are not following the path God wanted for you, or one in the material world. Which again is the exclusively the body, not mind and spirit. Also understand the 3 have different personalities. Yes you have 3 personalities, not 1, or 2 that work together to make your whole. Remember God kept it simple and for a reason with the 10 Commandments. It's really not hard to follow, just do not covet. Work for want you want and if faithful and live a good life it will come to you. When men covet is when they sin. Now for fun check out Kinesin Proteins. It will blow your mind. And prove to you something everyone asks: Is God real? I'll let you decide. Looking inward will also give you that answer. It is when the soul is cared for, and it is stimulated that it is the soul that heals the body. Just make sure you give the soul the materials to build back what has needs fixed. How do you stimulate the soul, mind and spirit? Music! Which is the only way the soul can be stimulated. Music is so very important. Tesla said if you want to understand the mysteries of the universe think in terms of frequency, vibration, and energy. Music fulfills all 3. Good music, not that stuff they sing at most churches with just an organ. Though a few have figured it out. lol. Now go live a life caring for the world and all in it, especially the animals and natural world. That still is mankind's number one job. Then, go do what you love! Serious. You are allowed to do that believe it or not. At least if you don't live in North Korea anyway. lol! (listening to the "wrong" music in North Korea can get you in front of a firing squad. No lie. So if you don't live their, or any other shitty country, you're already on the right track. Now feel blessed and go live your life!)

ANY book that spends so much of itself trying to CONVINCE you why it is The Divine Truth, and why it is the ONLY truth, and why it alone should be believed (and even THREATENING YOU if you don't believe it!), should be disregarded as so much dust blowing in the wind. That doesn't mean that there isn't sound ideas in it...even an U.S. Army Field Manual with instructions for a Claymore Mine, that tells you to exercise extreme caution with it, and to assure that you point the appropriate side of the weapon toward the enemy, has SOUND IDEAS in it. But The Truth, THE BIG TRUTH, just IS, and that is ALL it EVER needs to be....The Truth is NOT going to waste one moment trying to convince you or cajole you or THREATEN you into believing it, because The Truth doesn't care one tiny little bit whether you believe it or not, because it is still The Truth either way. I find a lot of funny correlations involved in what ancient people were asking. Jews wanted a Messiah to make them a mighty people with the greatest empire the world has ever known worshipping their God. They got a Messiah who may or may not exist or may be an amalgam of several different people making a new religion who worships their God thay conquered most of the earth and wanted all the Jews dead as heretics for most of that time. The Christians wanted Rome to fall and be replaced by the kingdom of heaven. Rome fell- after Christianity pretty much became Rome & they got the Dark Ages.

Pythagoras means Heart of the Serpent, he was born in Sidon, a fishing Port in Phoenicia. His mother recieved a message from the Oracle of Delphi that he would become a great Leader and Teacher. Sidon means Kingdom of the Fish, and the Essenes, who wrote the Dead Sea scrolls, worshipped Pythagoras. The Sarcophagus of Eschmun III found in Sidon names him as the Widow's Scion, aka Hiram Abiff, the Founder of Freemasonry, of which Tyre was the premier Capital (at least equal to Thebes).
In 911BC Rameses II married the Queen of Sidon, home of Jezebel (Daughter or consort of Baal, basically "Queen") founding Neo Assyrian Babylon, an alliance between Egypt and Hiram, father of Jezebel and King of Assyria, and Egypt, forming the Phoenician colonies and building the first Temple of Melqart to commemorate the alliance.
The Si in Sidon is the basis of the Latin Exe, or X, and is the basis of the Cross, or Chi Rho that Constantine painted on his shields. Also known as the Cross of Tyre, or Cross of Baal, being Ra-El, or Ba'El. Oddly enough irrational numbers can also be mapped using Euler's number, producing a Templar Cross in the process. This cross can also be seen around the neck of Nimrod in Assyria, and is consistent with the Union Jack, and Solstice Calendar found in the Vatican Shiva Lingam.
Shiva is the Hebrew word for 7, their culture also found its way to Japan (via the Phillipines) ultimately becoming Shintoism.
It was the Phoenicians who gave their name to the Pole Star, which they used to Navigate the Oceans using the Zodiac, thats what the Antikythera mechanism was for, and with it they wrote the Byblos Baal, what we now call the Bible. The first form of the Bible was written in 325BC and called the Vaticanus Greacus, or Son of the Sacred Serpent, a reference to Sirius, the basis of the Sothic Calendar, which uses a Hexidecimal or base 60 system found in all the Megalithic sites around the world.
In the second century AD astronomer Valentinus Vettori transcribed it into a Lunar chart of 13 houses, what we now call the Zodiac. Horoscope means Star Watcher, and the Phoenician word for Saturn, or El, was Israel or El, (Fruit) of Isis and Ra.
El is the primary God of the Phoenicians, representing the offspring of Egypt, and his consort Astarte represents the Assyrian half of the alliance. It may be possible to trace lineages and alliances through the naming of gods, which can be traced all the way to Ireland and the Vikings, and to Indonesia and the Americas, even as far away as New Zealand and Australia.
It denotes Sirius as Son of Orion and Pleaides, which sits at 33 degrees of the Zodiac. The basis of the Sothic (dir Seth) Calendar of the Egyptians. The New Moon in this position marks Rosh Hashanah, the Egyptian, Celtic, Phoenician, and Assyrian New Year, the first New Moon of September, which is called September because it's the 7th House of the Zodiac, when the Sun is in Ophiuchus.
The Phoenix, Benben, or Bennu is the Egyptian word for Heron, a Feathered 'Serpent'. It baptised itself in frankincense and myrrh at BaalBek, and then alights atop the Pyramid, upon the Holy Grail, or Alter of Ra every 630 years to take three days off the calendar during the course of the first New Moon of Nisan, which means "Prince". The Capstone of Pyramids is even called the Benben or Bennu.
The Phoenix is found in all religions, which are all Astrological Allegory for the Moon travelling through the Constellations, as a soul migrating from body to body, this is the basis of Joseph Campbell's Monomyth, or the Hero's Journey. The various planets no doubt play their own roles as portents, omens, and aspects, this astrology is the science of the Bronze age, and lasted all the way up to the 20th Century. Resurrection was an early teaching of the Christian Church, and likely relates to the lineage of Kings (The King is Dead, long live the King.)
Phoenicians represent the interim step between Egypt and Greece, their artisans and culture exceeding that of the Greeks, who literally adopted the Phoenician Alphabet, which we still use to this day, sounding out words phonetically. Phoenician is aliiterated in Venetian, and Vikings, being Kings of the Sea.
The Bennu is the Egyptian Phoenix, to Phoenicians the Hoyle, no different to the traditions of the Etruscans, who saw birds as sacred, just as the Celts. Hebrew and Iber as in Iberia have the same root meaning over, as in overseas, as in those who travel "over the sea." A colony called Iberia also appears on the Eastern shores of the Black Sea, where the same Dolmens and Megalithic culture originating in Ireland and Brittany appeared circa 4500BC.
_Phoenician_ means Scions of the Phoenix, the first Bible: Vaticanus Greacus Son of the Sacred Serpent (Prince). Then there's the Essenes, Sons of Light, the Tuatha De Danaan, Sons of Light, Annunaki, Sons of Light, Arthur Pendragon means Arthur Son of the dragon, Chertoff is Russian for "Son of the Devil" and Dracula also means Son of the Dragon, Masons have been known at times to call themselves the "Brotherhood of the Great White Serpent". The Ziggurat of Anu also denotes her as a great white Serpent, while New Grange and the Bru na Boinne in Ireland (4000BC) coated buildings with white quartz to denote the Moon. The Moon itself travels outside the Solar Elliptic by 5 degrees, which means it passes through specific constellations in a serpentine fashion that is always changing, but repeats every 19 years, the time it took to train a Druid or Magi, Magi meaning "Teacher" the Phoenix is also associated with this sacred number 19.
The name "Pharoah" means "Great House"
or "House of Light" and Cairo used to be called Babel. Pharaoh's themselves wore a hooded crown representing feathers, just as Native American Chiefs, ie the Feathered Serpent, they were also called the Commander in Chief. Aztecs also had Serpent Kings, (Canaan means Serpent Kings, and Sidon was a Son of Canaan, and Great Grandson of Noah) who were called to lead with cunning and guile, being the very virtue by which they claim the title in the first place; but to be seen in public as just and diplomatic.
"As wise as Serpents, but gentle as Doves" the old Egyptian flag of an Eagle attacking a Snake is also reflected in the Modern Mexican flag, denoting the Constellations of Serpentis (13th sign of the Zodiac) and Aquila.
The dimensions and 12 mathematical constants of the Great Pyramid are also expressed in New Grange, and Stonehenge, as well as in Watson Brake, (2500BC) and Teotihuacan, which correlates to the Phoenician/ Sumerian Hexidecimal system, which is what our modern systems of time are based on.
Officially no one knows who invented astrology, the zodiac, navigation by the stars, and time keeping. But whoever built the pyramids, and pioneered the 24hr clock in Egypt 5000 years ago also knew the exact dimensions of the Earth, as well as the speed of light. These calculations can all be made using these Megalithic sites as surveyors use a theodolite. Specifically Teotihuacan, which sits 180 degrees opposite Cairo, and has the exact same footprint. The ideal positions to determine the speed of light using the transit of Venus, by which one can accurately determine Longitude for navigation. Capt cook did the same thing in 1774 when he 'discovered' Easter Island.
The only culture that fits the bill was wiped out "not one stone upon the other" by the Romans in 146BC. Tyre, the capital of Phoenicia (israel) sat just offshore from Ur Shalom, City of the New Moon, or City of Peace. The root of the name Jerusalem, and was also seized by Rome in 70AD after a 13 year seige. The gap between is 216 years.
Greek Dionysians built the Temple of Solomon (now called the Temple of Melqart) representing the Solar Lunar Metonic Calendar on which this system is based, they also carried mirrors, a practice associated with both the Magi and the Druids as well as Greek and Egyptian scholars, these Mirrors are Astrological charts called "Cycladian Frying Pans" and record the cycles of the planets. The first Temple of Melqart (the Phoenician form of Horus, or Hercules, or Pan, or Thor) representing the 13th Constellation of Ophiuchus or the Serpent Bearer (hence Orphic Serpent worship) had pillars of Emerald and Gold, representing Isis and Osiris. The Jerusalem Temple only took payment in "Shekels of Tyre" a currency minted during the Jewish rebellion against Rome. "Give that which is Ceasar's unto Ceasar"
When Alexander sacked Tyre in 332BC they moved to Carthage meaning "New City" or New Jerusalem, where they built a second temple with Pillars of Bronze.
Nebuchadnezzar also seiged Tyre for 13 years, taking the City captive in 573BC: the same time as the biblical account of the Jews. And again in 70AD after a three and a half year seige, also consistent with biblical accounts.

isn’t there a massive debate on whether or not Pythagoras was even a real person? the first texts written about him were 150 years after he supposedly died, and those weren’t detailed either. the first detailed texts about his life were written by his followers 800 years after death. to add further, “he”wasn’t even the first to discover his theorem.
Great collection of facts. You have definitely been researching. I wonder about the name Shiva. In Hinduism, Shiva is part of the trilogy of Brahman, Vishnu, Shiva. In Judaism, Shiva is a name for God I believe. I saw it on Jewish temples in LA and wonder about how the two religions share the same name.
The number nineteen is a sacred number in Islam. When I discovered the Metonic Cycle of the Sun, Earth and Moon I understood why. The Solar and
Lunar clocks reconcile every nineteen years, to the day, to the minute. I also studied the Zodiac and hexadecimal number system and am fascinated by much of the knowledge you have accumulated. The knowledge of the stars, the planets, the circumference of the earth, the origin of the meter and the foot, the sacred numbers, and the language of mathematics is truly fascinating. Much of this knowledge and more is found in ancient Egypt and other neolithic sites around the world. Leave it to the Roman Catholics to replace real knowledge and understanding with a book written in Latin that only they can read and understand.
The feathered serpent? Isn't it a fact that birds evolved from dinosaurs, reptiles? They are related in the distant past.
It is interesting to study and discover how the Jews, growing up in the midst of the Egyptian, Assyrian, Hittite, Babylonian, Phoenician, and Greek empires have borrowed a lot of their mythology and origin stories. A deep dive into Greece reveals quite a bit about the Bronze Age and prehistoric times. Their mythology and origin stories are fascinating.
@@Scott_works feathered serpent is a reference to the King of the Phoenicians, the Messiah or Seer, who is wise as a serpent and as gentle as a dove. The dove is Columbia, the Goddess of Death and Suffering, aka the Holy Spirit. It also relates to the Pharoah and John the Baptist, specifically the Summer Solstice, and to a white egret or Heron perched upon the back of a dragon (Alligator, etymology of the name is interesting, Alli, Illa, Illiad, Ennead, all references to the 9)
So in a sense a feathered serpent is the return of Storks or Egrets that sit upon the backs of gators heralding the flooding of the Nile. India still celebrate the appearance of Pleaides and Sirius at that time, and the Maori do too in Winter

You and Derek are doing what no other's have done before each of you. I suggest starting an online university-level course to teach people the truth on how these religious ideas formed in Christianity. Excellent work 👏 ❤
Thank you so much!
University-level would probably avoid distorting existing evidence to fit preconceived ideas:
At 31:31 he cites letter of Pliny’s to Trajan, using it as evidence to claim “Ironically this goes against every Christan apologist claim about so-called martyrs who would die for something they know is true, yet these Christians when pressed would worship the image of Emperor Trajan and curse Christ in order to save their lives.”
Yet in the same letter, just the sentence before the one which he cites, Phiny writes: “I have taken this course about those who have been brought before me as Christians: I asked them whether they were Christians or not? If they confessed that they were Christians, I asked them again, and a third time, intermixing threatenings with the questions. If they persevered in their confession, I ordered them to be executed”. Phiny himself stated that he executed Christians who did not renounce Christ, irony indeed.
It is impossible that he missed that sentence by accident since it is part of the same passage from which he starts to cite Pliny, only intentionally butchering it so it would fit his ideas. By doing such things if you believe that you are agent of Truth who is here to enlighten others, you are deluding yourself, and far worse deluding others who trust you.
As with sensationalist newspaper articles so is with such sensationalist CZcams videos, they distort reality a lot in order to fit it in their preconceived views.
If you are looking to learn the “truth” about Early Christianity this channel is not the place for it, nor is the Path towards God through CZcams.

They were founded in the late 1800's by a guy who mixed Freemasonry/Gnosticism with Christian Protestantism to create his own doomsday cult.
I find is fascinating how much people look back to this time period and try to uncover the secret knowledge that these people might have had using only fragments of documents. This stuff will be debated over forever it seems.

And, it was revealed to me that she is my immaculate wife and Queen, that this world has written down lies about Her lack of piety and faithfulness to me. When she took me, we were rushed to a celestial looking place, an ascendent realm of sort, I can recall her face, the sound of her voice, but just can’t recall exactly what she and I had discussed, and what she told me, it comes in glimpses or visions. The answer is within, and if humanity can ever get a breather from this controlled illusion of reality, we will understand death without fear in knowing there's no death of the soul but reincarnation of the physical.
Amazing documentary! Watched it in its entirety during one sitting.
Starting with Skyrim music hooked me so well
Reading these comments makes me sad. So many lost and confused people here
What do I think? I think this video is genius You offer the narrative, counter narratives and more of a rounded view of the early church than I have ever seen. Amazing. Very refreshing for a Christian truth seeker imo.
What is "Christian truth"?
I honestly would like to assist you with this. If your question is rhetorical, great. If you question represents that my statement is confusing...that's a diagram the sentence thing. If you want to know what Christian "truth" buddhist "truth egyptian "truth or any truth you will find the ultimate "truth" within you. There is but one truth and an infinite amount of ways to view it. Oh..and there are "more" truthful ways to view it , than others. One other thing, the ultimate "truth" being observed and the observer can become "one"..so..that's also a thing. Your name indicates you know all this, so hope you do and hope your sharing it@@ahenathon
@@peterhook2258 My name is not reference to the Sun. It is random sounds I made up to sound soundly and epic. By adding "Christian" to the "truth" we tell the story, noting else. It is unlikely that the truth resemble human logic. At least not the whole truth. Our minds are tuned to reality and everything out of its bounds is supernatural. Therefore we can not touch it by any means. Everything "spiritual" taps to archetypes of the human mind. It is barely a glimpse of truth.
Correct and since we are human we can describe and use our own language to point at those archetypes , hence my adjective Christian (not your definition of it). And if we both understand the concepts of archetypes you can understand the elephant analogy often used to describe "God". And if you don't know that analogy, familiarize yourself with it as it is applicable to what we are speaking of, and what I am speaking of when I say "Christian". In the story the elephant does indeed have a rope although the others may disagree, however the one that understands more of the elephant knows...it is indeed an elephant, indeed part of it is ropelike..ie Christian Truth is truth (not your understanding of what I mean ). Now if you have "ears to hear" then you get this, if you don't you don't). also..the elephant has ears too. In other cultures you will hear the elephant described as Islamic Truth, Buddhist Truth etc but the archetype cares not what you or I call it, nor that we describe it in human language which is necessary for communication in a youtube post. Inshalla
Never heard a explanation, ao well done, fantastic pictures, music ,and voice so paced, and pleasant to listen. Thank ,thank you!!!
This is the video I was searching for. Thank you very much. 🙏🏼♥️
What a beautiful adventure into other areas of faith, belief, understanding.
Your choice of BGM was so important as a long video Needs a cushion of support, a good nonstop adage for your lengthy Sermón.
This was so good I’m gonna have a second listen to it soon.
Ty for your work and your VAST and EXPANSIVE Deep Dive into this area of content.
Great effort to assemble this epic work. I've been aware that early Christianity had a diverse range of expressions and this reinforces that. A LOT of filtering went on to "curate" the winning texts. I'm reminded of a Rowan Atkinson sketch as the devil in hell, saying "Christians, the Jews were right!" :)
whoa this was an incredible video!
Fascinating work! I love how you connected multiple theologies. It's really fascinating to learn the connections that are there!
Omg yes
I really really appreciate the studied information you are imparting to your audience.
It’s also cool that you play gaming music in the background (Skyrim being one of the greatest games ever created by humankind)
I wish the world understood that Lucifer/Prometheus (light bringer) represents an icon and archon that gifts humankind with a greater consciousness (without which we’d never have had any of the abilities to progress in all the things that we are capable of)
Light = Knowledge
Same here ❤
Yes G-ds consiouness easy.
I totally agree with what many have said before me...i love this documentary and will be using this as an educational tool for myself... As i will need to watch this several times, while taking notes... In order to really appreciate and soak in the knowledge here. Thank you so much for putting in your time and effort to bring this to the world... Most amazing stuff here!!!
Great job. 3 days later I have watched it and analyzed it fully. Very impressive.
Wow, glad to be alive . Thanks a million
First time in a couple of decades I've seen anything in Christianity that seemed so pure and true. Beautifully done. I am and always be a Pagan, but I'm grateful to see this side of the neighbor's faith.
what we know for sure is that JESUS CHRIST = DEMON FALSE GOD. the bible sound alike "emo jesus cutted his veins for us. you should thank emo jesus who cuted his veins for you. otherwise his father would have throw all humans in hell ! obey the one who cutted himself for your sins or stay in the lake of fire for daring not believing ! there is no God exept emo jesus ! emo jesus is a jealous god and he who does not hate his parents to be emo with him is not a true disciple of him"
You're kidding?
The Gnostic Christians were the last true Christians.
I guess the "you're kidding" commenter believes that you can get your truth across to people by insulting their beliefs and acting arrogant. If your point is to try to assurt the validly of your point, you have lost already. No one listens to someone who disrespects their beliefs. I learned this not from a Pagan, but from a Missionary who went to New Guinea in the 50's to preach to actual Cannibals and Headhunters. Listen and learn, folks. These wise Missionaries *never* ridiculed or criticized these people's heartfelt beliefs. They hunted with them, built nuts with them, and shared stories around the campfire. They calmly said "you believe this, we believe that".The point here is shared. They tried to build a bridge, not put up a wall and feel they are superior and get Brownie points from God. Attitudes like this only drive people away.
I'm personally not interested in converting into Evangelical Christianity but for those who claim they are trying to save people it amazing how they don't notice how they are only driving people away God with comments exactly like this.
What I know for sure is that saying the name JESUS out loud to start what I thought would be my final words and prayer made the “Demon Tree”, for lack of any better description, release my chest from it branches up high and the roots that came out of the ground, wrapping around my ankles also released and I ran for my life looking back to see a mean wincing face in the bark of the tree. I never wanted to go back there again….
The Greeks and Romans didnt care who you worshipped. Only when Christianity became the official religion did they attack and destroy any other belief.
Moral to the story, no one has the right to control anyone. The Bible is written to control people, not the actual teachings of Jesus. The real God doesn't believe in slavery and cruelty but love and knowledge. Being a sheep is the exact opposite of what you are meant to be.. eventually, we will be free again.. and everyone equal.
Great informational video. Could you please provide all the references, perhaps a bibliography of all the sources you found this information from? Could you also provide the list of scholars mentioned mid video that were of the opinion that Marcion had the authentic epistles?
Regarding Zeus, instead of ‘zoos’ shouldn’t we be saying ‘zayoos’? As in Deus? As in Perseus, Theseus, Wolfgang Amadeus, and everywhere else the suffix ‘-seus’ is used?
Don't forget Dr. Seuss
No. Zyoos will do.
what about... "zoys"?
They change the name when they get caught
This is littered with so many mispronunciations, he sounds like ian AI.
Vine-Yard? Nobody ever says Vine-Yard. It is pronounced vinyerd.
Keep it up brotha. Love your channel 🤙🏼
Unwatchable. Too many ads :(
Instead of buying fancy suits, you should buy CZcams premium. Problem solved
Yessssss! Let's go! Every day a little piece of the great curtain falls.
yep
The valentinian system of the triad is certainly Pythagorean by nature. Good content.
@@Uncanny_MountainPythagoras was born at Samos at Pythagoreo.
@@RealPathfinder3 In 582 B.C., at Sidon, Mnesarchus and Pythias had a son. They named him, too, in the Pythian tradition. He was Pythagoras (pith-AG-or-us). The family moved to Samos, which some sources list as Pythagoras's birthplace.
All you had to do was fact check *YOURSELF* 🤡
"What reason would jews have for deceptively telling that Jesus' father was Pantera?"
In ancient times, people vehemently hated anyone they thought was a heretic. The non-Christian Jews wanted to suppress all Christianity. It is easier if you call the new prophet an illegitimate child.
New Testament is always struck me as an exercise in antisemitism and acquiescence to Greek paganRoman imperial power opposed to Judaism & The Original Testament in its Original language ie Biblical Hebrew. It’s purpose was to make Judaism into fly-over country.
Gnosticism is the religious version of the weed addict posting "this is what they dont teach you in high school!". Just because you aren't taught something doesn't mean it's sacred hidden knowledge.
Brother, you're ahead of the curve. PLEASE keep doing what you're doing, and THANK YOU.
I'm interested in learning more about Zoroastrianism. What author would you recommend?
I'd start with Wikipedia. I just read a really good, fairly recent book entitled simply "The Persians", but I can't recall the British author. That faith was the official religion of the Achaemenid Persian empire,so your studies will likely go in that direction. Just so you avoid confusion,Zoroaster was the Greek pronunciation. Zarathustra is closer to the Persian. Both are used. The only community of Zarathustrans of any size today is the Parsi (Persians) in India. They fled there to escape the Islamic conquest of Persia circa 8th century c.e.
I think the best overview of Zoroastrianism can be found in The Dawn and Twilight of Zoroastrianism by Robert Zaehner. I was first introduced to it in an undergrad course on religion many many years ago. Although old, I remember it as authoritative
