I wonder if this would bolt up to the 1981 Mercedes 240d that has the 4 speed manual transmission? The Getrag transmission shifts from the side and is a small transmission. That is the missing link for the 240d having a multispeed transmission.
Hello,.I just built a resto mod with 6 speed tremec.Dual disc Clutch .Everything is brand new.. I have the a issue with the clutch slipping. Im try to figure out how to adjust it to eliminate the slip.?.
I have a T 5 out of a 87 Camaro and I want to put it in my 85 Cutlass Olds and my engine is a 383 stroker that should be around 500 HP do u think this trans will hold up and if u have any suggestions on clutch system please I need help thanks !!
I agree. The gear spread is to large for a 4 Valve engine which turns till 7'200 rpms. Not to mention the ZF transmission can not handle with as much torque as Tremec can.
because the 4-speed broke all the time. 6-speed gave the car better gear ratios throughout the power band of the car. Shifted 1000 times better and can handle the power. The Gear Vendors is a good unit but it required the use of the 4-speed.
Thank you for your response, I'm deciding whether to install a gear vendors overdrive or a tremec 5 speed. I plan on competing in autocross events and want to have a strong and dependable driveline.

Would this directly bolt into a 67 firebird that came with a factory 3 speed manual?

Shop rate would put you at around 5 to 7k for a complete install
Put a tko600 in my 84z brand new stuff for 3300 myself
