I am presently running pas system and have no complaints other than I want to try something new. A 94r in dedicated trimmer for weight savings and a bigger power head in kombi for everything else would be sweet.

I have the same setup and the 131 is pretty heavy with the extension and 145 degree hedge trimmer. I'm thinking about getting the carbon fiber extension for mine, it's supposed to be alot lighter than the aluminum one. My neighbor has a km111 and he uses 2 extensions with the pole saw on his.

The 145 hedger and the aluminum pole is kinda heavy. I don't think I could use it all day. I couldn't justify the carbon fiber pole this season, but if trimming jobs pick up next year, I'll look into one. Thanks for the comment!

Need to use pruners / loppers to layer the cuts if you want it to actually look good. Not bad but could look way better if you clean it up with pruners.

Absolutely. This was just too cut it back, to limit the overall size. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing this video. Thinking about getting the same setup for our home. One question: How durable is the nob securing the two or even 3 devices? Just worry about getting it stripped.

We've had no durability issues so far. It seems like a sturdy design. I know they sell replacement sleeves, should one break, but ours have been fine. Thanks for watching!

How is the weight on the 131?
I am in between the 131 or 94 kombi.
In afraid if I buy the 94 in going to wish I needed more power and should have gotten the 131.
Only going to use edger, hedge trimmer and chainsaw attachments though.
I run the 94r, and 91 trimmers on my trailer already so don't need another trimmer.

The cool thing about the 131R, is that it is the same weight as the 91R, in both the trimmer and Kombi versions, only with more power. The KM94R is definitely lighter....almost a pound lighter than the KM131R, but as you said, it has less power....1.2hp vs. 1.9hp. I like power for an edger and chainsaw, so I'd roll with the 131R. Plus, I just love the 4 stroke stihl motors. The 94R is two stroke which tends to make more noise, with less grunt at low RPMs. If I were using the thing ALL day long, I might prefer the lighter weight, but for what I do, the 131R is the do it all, Kombi power unit. Having said that, for a dedicated trimmer, I would like to try an FS94R sometime......:)

I was wondering about the same thing. I went to the dealer and hefted both the KM94R and the KM131R. I wanted the extra power, but the weight difference was so significant. I left the dealer without buying anything since I couldn’t decide.
