Welcome to madventure, we're MADison and iVEN (okay it is spelled Ivan, but pronounced like VENture) a husband and wife living the adventure we have been dreaming of, despite the fact that it makes us sound completely mad. For us that looks like traveling full time and starting our own businesses.
For Madison, a former reality TV producer, the dream is the madventure community, connecting people through travel, experiencing new cultures, and trying the best foods from carts, stands and restaurants all over the world. She hopes to encourage others to follow their maddest most adventurous dreams, whatever they may be!
For Ivan, a former NASA engineer, it is creating an engineering product that will change the world!
Travel and food are two of our biggest passions, so on this channel we will be traveling the world, and staying awhile to experience what life is actually like living other places. We're excited to have you on board for the delicious, culture filled, madventurous times that will ensue! Let's madventure! xoxo

Anytime you buy jerky in Texas, take a look a the label and make sure it’s made in Texas. Almost bought some jerky that was made in Oklahoma. Lots of people are fleeing CA to TX so let’s not turn TX into a CA. Love my state of TX!

I didn't see it, but if you get the chance to go back, check out the Nimitz Museum. It's also worth a drive down the 290 to see some of the wineries and breweries on the way to stonewall. While you're over there, check out the LBJ ranch too. If you get the chance to come back, try to come about 2 weeks later then the post date of this video. Every third weekend in June is the Peach Jamboree, which has a cool little festival inside of Stonewall, among other things. If you haven't tried the peaches from the area, you'll never want to buy store bought peaches ever again. Amusing though, because I was there just 2 weeks after this video was posted!

Ah yes. Lederhosen, Bier and Sauerkraut. Its like you're visiting some theme park version of Germans. But I guess thats what americans always do. Butchering out cultures to compensate that they have no culture on their own and creating stereotypes out of their ancestors.
Mexicans? Tequila, burritos and pinatas! French? Liberté, wine and croissants! This is some Jim Crow stuff paired with whisper on the lane.

Most of the things we ate here are Bavarian? How interesting, most of the immigrants who settled this town were from Lower Saxony, but I suppose as the town grew Germans from all states (including Bavaria) must have moved in as well and influenced the food and culture. My great grandparents were from Lower Saxony and Hesse, so while I am an American, I do know that there is more to Germany than just Bavaria 😉.

My family is American of German descent. Had family living at Blanco, about 40 miles away, for many years. We call it “Fritz town.” But it’s not as German as it used to be, since it’s been “discovered” by the straw hat and sun dress crowd from Austin and San Antonio.
