  • WHY WING CHUN IS THE BEST | Defend boxers uppercut using Wing Chun What to build your Self-confidence? Start now: bit.ly/2GDOyYA
    Wing Chun martial arts master teaches How to defend someone pushing you. Real Martial Arts Master teaches students to destroy the Boxer, Muay Thai fighter and Wing Chun fighter using basic headlock defense.
    Hi,
    Master Wong here.
    Let me ask you some questions…
    Do you want Self-confidence and are you ready to improve your health and coordination?
    Wouldn't it be awesome if you could get rid of fear and learn to defend yourself? What if you could instantly download Wing Chun into your brain? These are questions I used to ask myself as well.
    Just imagine if you had that Wing Chun Kung Fu skill, what would you do with it? Would that instantly change your life and health for the better? Unfortunately, Wing Chun Kung Fu isn't as easy as inserting a cord into our brains to download the information like the Matrix. You'll have to find a good Master if you want to learn correctly. Even if you find a Master that could expedite your training, it's going to take years to hone the skills that you envision.
    Talk about "Wing Chun Kung Fu overload" . . .

    The elbows are from 3rd form, and a very good defence application [which I hadn't even thought of prior to watching your videos, only previously using elbow as a close-range attack]. But shouldn't under-estimate the arms outstretched type of defense (having uploaded many training videos on this myself, in 2014 / 15). For those who follow or have more faith in boxing: that would be known as 'leverage stop' - a type of defense strategy adopted by George Foreman [one of the top boxers at time of Muhammad Ali]; who came back and reclaimed the title at age of 45 ! This being previously unheard of. Perhaps combining the two or employing a bit of evasion (eg. slipping to the outside); could make it more workable. Master Wong, we need your advice: is it OK to combine the two - or should we just stick with one form ? [The slipping & elbows being from 3rd / advanced form, while the leverage stop method is 2nd form / intermediate].

  • @walterevans2118
    @walterevans2118 Před 4 lety +1

    The problem with your hands held high is that you are not protecting the body from bodyshots like in a good defensive boxing stance....& people could go for the body as a decisive target as well as the head...Also with the arm up like that there is a 'doughnut hole' thru which punches could go. Well done here on encouraging people not to 'Chase the hands' like in Wing Chun but the important thing here is both not to chase the hands nor put the elbows up like that into a bad defensive where the body & groin & knees are wide open as targets. The important thing is to DISENGAGE & from being detached going for DECISIVE target. You mention Ying & Yang & what if you've got no choice. Well, you have to use forward aggression (yang) to MAKE choices. & the one who wins isn't the one with most choices but the one who goes for the decisive shot..... Principles shouldn't be to defend your head....The Principles should be to apply the principle of ECONOMY to an attack to FINISH IT FAST whatever the opponent tries to make a target (head, body or anything else)

Its simply not practical. Kung fu schools dont want to talk about this though. So now you have delusional instructors denying that their self defense method doesnt work, and co tinuing to tell people it will protect them.
      Consider a home security system that after you install it, fails to secure your home. People start to say hey! This doesnt work! And the manufacturer takes it as a personal attack, people start telling you to prove what your saying, etc. Xu xiaodong in china is actually going out of his way to do so and the chinese government is destroying his social credit forcing him to try to flee the country he was born in.
      It needs to be addressed that teaching ineffective martial arts is dangerous. A gun that doesnt fire, a tazer with no batteries. Pepper spray that sprays bubbles. Thats dangerous.
