- Edward VII (Albert Edward; 9 November 1841 - 6 May 1910) was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 22 January 1901 until his death in 1910.
The eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and nicknamed "Bertie", Edward was related to royalty throughout Europe.
He was Prince of Wales and heir apparent to the British throne for almost 60 years. During the long reign of his mother, he was largely excluded from political influence and came to personify the fashionable, leisured elite.
He travelled throughout Britain performing ceremonial public duties and represented Britain on visits abroad.
His tours of North America in 1860 and of the Indian subcontinent in 1875 proved popular successes, but despite public approval, his reputation as a playboy prince soured his relationship with his mother.

My favorite British Monarch.
Knew how to have fun, and he was a nice man.
It's a wonder he didn't contract syphylis.
I have always, always , wondered this! It’s like everyone got it back then, maybe he had it, and they covered up the “scandal “ and he died, before the tell tale signs that you just can’t cover up, showed themselves. At the very least I am sure he had something, how could anyone from that time period with his lifestyle not? But still, eww, I hope he paid those French ladies well and that chair of his, even after all this time has passed I bet would light up like super nova under a black light. Ok, grossing myself out lol
I think Alexandra was relieved she didn’t have to sleep with him after she did her duty and had her kids. I just hope she didn’t catch anything from him
@@hyperactivehyperbole I have read that each woman that he wanted was physically examined by physicians before he jumped her.
I'm also wondered myself for I don't think he used a rubber on his Willy. 🤣😂😂😅
I adore your narration and your work overall.
Dirty Birty had got good hard laugh out of me which I needed since I was so somber with the passing of the Queen.
Lord, I am becomes fascinated with their lives..of the descendants of this royal family!! Constantly on the you tubes channel!! From Northern California ♥️!!
"No, the trouble came after he found them."
RELATABLE!! Ugh 🙄😂🤭
You truly bring history alive to the world to hear and see. Thank you!!!
The music in the background reminds me of something you’d here around Christmas time
Thank you for providing this wonderful pieces of history !
The king who loved food and women 😋 😍 ❤️!!
Your voice is so calming
no Albert did not travel to Ireland he travel to Cambridge that's when he contracted a dysentery 😂😂
Btw could you do a video on William 'Red Eagle' Weatherford? He was a Creek Native American wartime chief and leader of the Red Sticks. He has a very interesting story! He even met Andrew Jackson and befriended him to a degree because of Jackson's respect for Red Eagle, despite him being a wanted man. Also, their chiefs in the tribe were chosen from a certain maternal line of women. The Sehoys ❤️ (they're ancestors of mine lol)
King Edward 7th and Queen Alexandra had a son in 1862, born, baptized and abandoned in South Africa.
Back then, DNA didn’t exist, which made it much harder to prove King Edward was a biological father of one or more mistresses’ children.
@@VLove-CFII It means Camilla and Charles might be distant cousins.
Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra of Denmark met in September 1861.
In December 1861 it was obvious that Alexandra was with child.
Prince Albert angrily confronted Edward and Princess Alexandra was discreetly transported to South Africa, where their eldest son was born unannounced, in June 1862, baptized and given an assumed name.
Princess Alexandra returned home and was promptly engaged to Prince Edward, whom she later married, legitimising their abandoned son, whose descendants have their irrefutable DNA evidence x
💘💘💘👍👧👍🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Edward VII cheated on his wife constantly. Just like his great great grandson Charles cheated on Diana. The apple didn't fall far from the tree there.
No it's an Arranged Marriage thing. They were never in love with their wives, got along well with them but needed more. Charles was faithful to Camilla all his adult life and would have married her ages ago if they'd have let him. Edward was faithful to mrs. Keppel to the end (ironically camilla's forebear and Edward probably fathered the child Camilla descends from). So no , not anywhere as bad as it's been said to be. Also remember Diana had plenty of lovers herself; wives around the 1900's didn't because they were constantly pregnant .
@@gwae48 Very true!
Oh give it a rest...Diana as wonderful as she was also cheated.
@@tsbonner who started cheating first?
Victoria was a nymphomaniac. Rather hypocritical of Victoria.
She was in a committed marriage with her husband. Not comparable to having sex with random prostitutes. I don't even like Queen Victoria, she's was a terrible mother.
She wasn't at all. She enjoyed marital relations with her husband. That's not nymphomania.
Camilla’s great great grandfather
Wrong! Actually, Camilla’s great grandmother Alice Keppel had an affair with him.
Victoria's secret was that she was really a man.
She gave birth nine times so, no.
@@zzzbbbooo You'll see.
@GiGiRenea tell us how was she a man
