I also used to be very very shy. I'd get anxiety just talking on the phone. I decided I needed to force myself to be outgoing, so I forced it. Eventually I just became outgoing naturally. Now I'm genuinely outgoing.
Any tips for forcing it?? I am trying right now but it's so hard.
@@TJThomas116 just force it. I think for me it helped to kind of disassociate a little bit, just get out of my head and kind of see the talking and joking as someone else so I wouldn't get so self conscious. It's super super super uncomfortable at first, but then you get good at it and that person just becomes you when you talk. Think of a guy that you want to emulate. For me, it was this guy in my Bible study, big burly guy with a super confident voice, loved to give people hugs and strong handshakes, called everyone a brother, felt super cool.

It's basically that greentext of the guy just pretending to be Ryan Godling in Drive (literally me)
It was a really fun concept that was made way too cartoonish for a broad-audience.
I had fun watching it, but the ending felt very rushed.
The writers saying "We need to have a big climax" leads to the characters acting so... out-of-character, and it broke my immersion completely.
If nothing else, it's a great showcase for Linklater's acting ability. Sort of like how "The Saint" from 1997 wasn't a masterpiece, but it's fun seeing Val Kilmer chew the scenery as a bunch of different characters.
The Real Chad was Patrick Bateman all along🗿
I just saw it yesterday and It was surpprisingly good.
A surprise hit for me. Didn't think this would be up my ally, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film. One of the best rom-coms I've seen in quite some time, if not ever.
When I first saw the trailer, I thought I'd never watch it. It looked like one of those dumb action rom-coms. But after this video(and seeing Glen Powell acting as Patrick bateman) I'm definitely watching it. Kino, you done it again!
I saw a trailer for this recently at the theater and it looked, so, so bad. You'd have no idea this was a Linklater movie based on the promotional material.
I'm a huge Linklater fan and didn't care for it.

This is a coomer pseud movie, probably Linklater’s worst. Philosophical themes were done in the most hamfisted and obvious way possible. Had the presentation of Netflix “content” rather than a theatrical film.

Glen Powell was a beta stock broker that got manhandled by Bane in Dark Knight Rises to becoming a Chad in later movies.
isn't the premise of the film basically entrapment? doesn't that prevent convictions? The idea being that if law enforcement encourage or facilitate the starting of crimes it makes people who might otherwise learn to live with their ill thoughts into actual criminals. At worst it means the state is basically farming crime to justify their salaries.

Huh, i never really liked Glen Powell cause he's being forced into shitty hollywood mainstream everywhere now, but i did not know he made a movie with R Linklater. That's actually kimda interesting. Wonder if i should give the movie a try.
