Another life update- the hardest part about starting over that others don't talk about

- So much has happened in the past month or two. Some are good strides forward and others that has led to making some decisions we weren't prepared to make. We feel the need to make a trip back to Canada just one year after arriving in Paraguay.
We wish it was under better circumstances, but we all are excited to see our family again in less then two weeks.
I'm also interested to see what Canada is like and how it has changed.
Thanks for your patience guys!
Thank you for the updates, i am so interested in how your move to Paraguay is going. I'm looking forward to all your new videos.
Thanks for the updates! Life is always full of surprises - best wishes to you and your family!
Back to Winterpeg in December, you really are brave. I just commented on a vid you did a while back, so I'll be short. I will be keeping you all in my prayers, safe trip.
Thank you Jim. Much appreciated!
A good video idea is telling about the process of starting a new business from scratch, in a new country, without knowing the market, tagert audience, etc
For sure, thank you for the idea.
Best of luck! Thank you for sharing! Blessings
so true that having an emergency fund is a must.
no one ever knows what tomorrow will bring.
best of luck dealing with things back in Canada. best wishes from France.
Absolutely, something is always bound to come up. Not always to this extent but so important to be prepared!
Thank you!
We wish the circumstances were better, but we look forward to seeing you all again ❤
Agreed! We’re excited too regardless.
It's always a challenge to be far from family. Especially, when some challenges arise. Keep your heads up and this trip will be a good little break for everyone. Good luck
Best wishes to you and your family,
Quick question. When importing your vehicle into Paraguay, did the state favor you with tax/import benefits? i.e. Was it cheaper to bring your car(s) than buying locally? Thanks
Yes they did, but not to the extent that it made it cheaper to import then to buy locally.
thanks for watching.
thank you for your videos. I have a question about applying for residency. I have the name (joseph) which was added to my birth certificate because of the Catholic religion in Quebec, Canada. I don't have that first name and it doesn't appear anywhere else. Could this cause a problem for my residence application in Paraguay?
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
I'm pretty certain they would go according to the name that appears on your birth certificate when preparing Paraguayan documents. This would be very important to note to whichever immigration lawyer you choose to work with so they can potentially leave that out. Our daughter's birth date was wrong on her Canadian passport and we just had to pay a bit extra to have them correct it on their paperwork each step of the way since the passport had to shown every step of the way too.
Tks
Is it easy to find a good school that teaches in German or English down there? Do you know? Thank you.
In Asuncion you would much easier find an international school that teaches English. This would just have quite a price tag on it I would imagine.
Our children attend a very good school in Mennonite colony and their whole education is done in German. In the later years they add English classes and high school is taught completely in Spanish.
Thank you.
Do you think that non-Mennonite children could get access to Mennonite schools?
@@anderskjr7169 They are a church run private school so they look at is more of whether or not they are a good fit faith wise. And the next thing if they have the space to accommodate more children to keep a good teacher to student ratio.
