My mother has always loved him and especially this song. She is 81 and in her last few hours of life and I have been playing his music for her. The last time she showed any emotions was yesterday when I played this for her. I am thankful he brought so much joy to so many people especially this moment for her.

One of the greatest.... just listening to this reminds me of the good old days... whatever happens in life we keep the memories of when life was so much less complicated and easy...in memory of all my loved ones who died far too young... especially my dad my mum my brother my son....all died young but one day we'll meet again... love and miss you all... Keep the faith everybody...and remember the good times

@@Billy219Thats your opinion, i respect that, ive been into the Rockin scene since i was 12 yrs old, now 58, live the lifestyle, drive the cars and motorcycles and play double bass in a Rockabilly band, just love it, thats my opinion of it and i would never slag off any genre of music if others like it, apart from anything from the 80s onwards, which is not really music, no real musicians were around in that time onwards.
I have always loved Fats. He is a legend. RIP.

my uncles and family used to sing this song at Christmas Eve...they might have been a little drunk but were good...I was about 13 then.....long time ago. Four months earlier on October 6th, 1956 it entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} and spent over a half-year on the Top 100 {27 weeks}...
And on November 3rd, 1956 it reached #1 {for 8 non-consecutive weeks} on Billboard's R&B chart...
R.I.P. Mr. Como {1912 - 2001} and the great Mr. Domino turns 85 years old this coming February 26th...

This song is a gift that will live on but most importantly it is a testiment to an era which seem so distant because we live in a time and space in which we are incapable of producing those emotions and social dynamics necessary in order to compose, produce songs that will transend time and space and live on for ever. We live in deprevation of pure innocent and love....may god have mercy on us.
