Chuck Berry and Etta James are gone now, but can you imagine Keith Richards or Eric Clapton or Robert Cray just being able to set back and remember this night and to think that they were part of it!!

This concert was from a 60th birthday celebration concert put together by Keith Richards and Taylor Hackford for Chuck Berry. A bunch of big stars were invited to play and/or sing the music of Chuck Berry including Clapton, Etta James, Linda Ronstadt, etc. The whole concert and preparation leading up to it were codified in Taylor Hackford's documentary film, Hail! Hail! Rock n' Roll. I highly recommend it; it's very insightful and interesting - not to mention entertaining!

Etta was my girl to. She could make all kinds of sounds with her voice. For instance, the way she makes her voice cry when she sings "I'd rather be blind" I love that song. Etta will be sorely missed.
