- This year's LEGO Architecture release is non other than the Notre-Dame Cathedral finally done in LEGO. The biggest LEGO Architecture set ever with over 4000 pieces and much more to uncover.

Thank you LEGO for sending this set for review.

Your mic is clipping. pull it back from your mouth a little and maybe look into getting a vocal compressor. You tend to vary your volume a lot, you get louder at the end of sentences where you are trying to emphasize the word. This causes your mic to clip, and sound distorted on those louder words. A vocal compressor will raise the volume of the quieter parts just a little and bring down the peaks of the loud bits, so it isn't so extreme and sounds smoother throughout.
Lego should make the Sagrada Familia next, and maybe we could finish the build before the real one is finished!
Oooh, it would have to be massive!
they could make it modular and release one part of it a year for a couple years
Wasn't it removed from Lego Ideas because of religious reasons? Is this rule still in use or could the MOC designer try it again?
@@gegessen159that’s an open question for now.
@@gegessen159 Shouldn't here be religious reasons too?
I have a feeling that Lego is encouraging keeping the box (for storage, etc.) with this new box design. Similar to the 90s (I think), but without the tray
The plastic trays in the 80's were great!
People don’t already keep there boxes 😂 I have a closet of just boxes
@@SO-ym3zs man i loved those, they were very satisfying
People don’t keep the boxes…
Bruh I thought everyone did. My closet is mostly boxes of Lego and other random boxes.
I can honestly say - I have never had a piece missing. I have often thought I did - but I always end up finding it in a bag or under the chair I am working on or stuck to another piece or under the instructions....
One time it was a 1x1 plate which got lodged inside a brick lol
I've had 1 missing in my Camp nou but I just kept stealing from the next bag until it arrived in the post
I've had 1 piece missing (never more than 1) from a couple of sets, but Lego always sends them to me.
(And these were HUGE sets, multi-thousand piece sets.)
i think at most i had to resort to the 1x1 spare pile twice, and that is why you get the tiny pieces spare anyway.
Recently I had the jetpack piece missing from the minifigure that came bundled with a magazine. That was really surprising, but Lego took care of it immediately.
The meow at the end, purrrfect

@@TiagoCatarino I knew I heard that! Supertroopers vibes lol. Safe to say what the next review will be haha
LEGO is the only company that can make a model of a Roman Catholic Church and not include a cross
To be fair with them, there isn't a Lego piece which could work as a cross and is small enough to fit on the spire while being to scale with the rest of the building.
The cross on the real cathedral is / was probably very big but looks tiny in comparison with the building.
*Cathedral haha, but yeah, doesn't change your point.
@@NewChannel-wi7vj they could put that piece at the top of the recent taj mahal set. It’s not exactly a cross but it’s close enough and roughly to scale
That's fine. It's an Atheist cathedral.
Oh my goodness the way the box opens is SOOOO much better! I’m glad I don’t have to worry about ripping the box open on accident, because I like keeping the box. The graphic on the box itself is art!
I’m not a big fan of the Architecture range, but this one is very tempting
same here. I would love a little more detail on the altar etc.
As an architect, I really wish LEGO would return to their original architecture line subject roots like Farnsworth House, Villa Savoye, Guggenheim instead of just landmarks -- though those are landmarks. Pompidou, Habitat 67, Barcelona Pavilion have the potential to be a very creative builds! Though I understand the public might not recognize some as well.
Agreed, but I think they are trying to hit a sweet spot of buildings most people would know and landmarks work well for that. Just as you say people typically won't know those buildings you listed, although they would be awesome in Lego. In the end they have to sell enough of these to justify the expense in releasing them.
I would lose my mind if they produced a Habitat 67! Adding to my Rolodex for future MOCs. . . .
I hope Lego revisits some of the buildings from the theme’s early days, especially Frank Lloyd Wright’s work. The theme and Lego as a whole has changed so much! I’d love to see an updated set based on Fallingwater.
Id be interested if they had higher piece counts, like the imperial hotel.
Le centre Pompidou en lego >>>
Oh wow i really like how its structured to be built in the same order as the real thing
This, the Eiffel tower, the Colosseum and the Statue of Liberty are all roughly 1:200. They would look great together! Any other Lego (landmark) sets in this scale?
lego needs to get scale under control, would like to be able identify the scale for each set to know which ones go together
Already preordered it Tiago. And like the designer said, this deserves a slow, measured build while doing research on each section. Hence the reason he designed the build to mimic the timeline from the first stone laid in 1163. Or in this case, the first brick. I can’t wait!! Another top video dude.
I have to say I've been watching your channel for quite some time now, and I really love your content ! The fact you film sets form several different angles is really appreciated and gives a good idea of how it looks from all sides, and your reviews are quite short (in a good way). Also, compared to other people you aren't uselessly negative in your reviews (maybe having been a Lego designer gives you a better understanding of choices made by Lego that other people wouldn't necessarily understand)
And I also must say that this set looks magnificent ! Being french I love seeing Notre-Dame de Paris made in Lego form, and I didn't intend on buying it when we had just rumors of its existence, but it looks too good and I'm too patriotic to not get it at some point.
Hey Tiago I really appreciate these reviews they help me know which sets i want to buy!
Loved the hand’s on review! Your videos are always insightful, honest, and well edited which I really appreciate. Hoping to see more very soon!
More to come! And thank you so much for the donation. You didn’t need to do it but it goes a long way in supporting the channel!
Im so ocd. I usually make sure the lego injection point (lego’s brick dot in production) are aligned 😁
I had them all facing the same way on Batman Animated series model, so that they all looked like doorknobs 😂
Me too!! 😝
I came here to talk about this!
The Lion Knight's castle took me forever.
New project for my summer vacation!
How many summers?
@@TiagoCatarino hopefully less than actual Notre Dame!
the interior seems to be missing some columns, which as a pedant for cathedrals annoys me, but i am delighted that an attempt was made at the internal structure. I expected the usual multicoloured gore.
I'm so glad that you're back Tiago.
I really like how the designer kept the 4 smaller windows near the crossing with a small circle below them
These represent the original design before the rest of the windows were enlarged to let in more light
This is gorgeous!!! I'm excited for this set
Thanks as always for the handy subtitles!
Definitely getting and this will be my first Architecture set. I also have it in those 3D foam puzzle version.
That’s a cool new box type. I also noticed a leak for the Lego Simba has a new top opening box style
Hey Tiago! Amazing video as always!
I was wondering if you though about putting other currencies with the 4 ones you already have? Maybe there is not enough space, or adding different currencies over and over would be quite redundant?
I'm Canadian and would love to see the $CAD, but I wonder if adding too much info would be overwhelming
My Himeji Castle box (bought this year) was already in that format of having a removable lid and the enclosed corners.
I cannot wait to add this to my whole collection!
Yes I’m getting this. This is beautiful and incredible! Wow
Thanks for this video Tiago! Keep up the good work!!
It looks beautiful, i will surely buy it since I already have much lego architecture buildings
Been looking forward to this one but couldn't help thinking it might be a nightmare of repetition to build. I’m glad it wasn't too bad!
I had a lot of sets on my "to buy" list for upcoming months, however, when this got revealed, it became the top priority. Waiting badly for it to be on sale and join my collection :)
2:33 That technique makes repetition way easier! I did a similar thing with the windows on the daily bugle! (Of course with the hollow side down so they would not get scratched up)
Sometimes I slide them together, other times (hello, Titanic deck windows) I stack them then press the assembly against the flat surface to orient them all. (I swear I still have callouses from pressing together all those 1x1 plates, but my fingers will go on…)
@@ArtsMyth1967 Hahaha, it is al worth it in the end!
Wow! This set looks amazing!!
I must be one of the only people who is not bothered at all by assembly repetition. Maybe it is from coming from a manufacturing environment and kanban system, and making a game out of how fast you can assemble dozens of the same assemblies. I find it therapeutic, actually, and I like that
My brother had a whole bag missing from one of his brickheadz. I have personally never experienced a missing brick, but I did have a piece that was faulty and that I couldn't use. It was from my LEGO Creator Ford Mustang car. I thankfully had a lot of spare pieces from other car sets that I could use.
This looks fantastic set great detail like the new box opening awseome review meow 🐱👍
Very nice review, Tiago! I've just built the Taj Mahal Architecture set and Im impressed by how Rok Zgalin Kobe is a genius! These Architecture sets have a lot of genius LEGO geometry, so... lets see what is next... =]
Lego Himeji Castle mentioned. I am happy. This one is also really cool but 4000 pieces scares me. It took me 2 days to build the Himeji and my thumbs were sore haha
Feel free to pace it out. When I got the NES set I lined up all the bags on my kitchen table and would do 1-3 bags per night after work.
i just realized this guy only gets abt 100k views a video, GUYS HE DESERVES 1 Million this content is amazing!
A lot of nice new tan elements
It kinda lacks the crosses. I know about the lego policy but this is a cathedral overall plus they pub national symbols on sets anyway and this masterpiece of architecture should be as accurate as possible.
Sure, but to be fair with Lego, there isn't a Lego piece which could work as a cross and is small enough to fit on the spire while being to scale with the rest of the building.
The cross on the real cathedral is / was probably very big but looks tiny in comparison with the building.
@@NewChannel-wi7vjwhat about the Kylo Ren lightsaber piece? It would just need to be recolored from trans red to tan.
It’s beautiful, however I do agree that it’d be nice to have a better view of the interior once complete
230$?! I was honestly expecting almost double that! I don't think I have a place for it in my tiny flat, but my god, this is amazing!
Lol... this thing is tiny😂😂😂
Looking forward to the fire MOCs
Regarding the missing lego piece, I personally have recently bought a few lego sets over the last 2 years and I've had similar issues. The typewriter was missing a 1x3 lego tile and the Nintendo NES had misprinted and scratched printed parts. I never asked for a replacement since I felt bad asking for a package delivery for just one piece but I found it quite strange since I've never had any of those issues with lego before.
Nice review. This thing begs to be illuminated.
Looks amazing and I will definitely be picking it up, however it's very disappointing that it's missing the iconic gargoyles! I know that the scale makes it hard to have anything with any kind of detail but I still think something should have been where the gargoyles are located. It just feels like something big is missing from the model. Perhaps we might see some good fan modifications once the model is released.
Those printed window elements are gorgeous. Hoping those get put on pick a brick, as I'd love to get several without buying multiples of this set.
This feels like a great candidate for the "I made half, I'll do the other half later" trend that's been doing the rounds. Fully build one side of it so you can more easily appreciate the interior 😂
It looks amazing
I thought for sure the fact there were 43% of the model with just 1x1 bricks, plates, tiles, clips, etc in the model would have been oof not wow! But you surprised me with your review. See I am listening 🤣🤣 Great review! A good friend of mine did participate in the challenge to redesign the spire. He had an all glass and steel one that would have allowed more light into the center naive which looked amazing and still reminded us of the original metal and stone one, but alas he didn't win and they rebuilt it exactly the same
Love this!
This set looks so good. Its a mix of a architecture and a Disney set because of the Hunchback of Notre dame. I will probably buy it because the Hunchback of Notre dame is one of my favourite Disney movies and because it looks gorgeous
I bought this set for the exact same reason. *__* Nice to see another THoND fan here. =D
Looks amazing! Now I can start to dream that, maybe, St Peter's Basilica is next.....
Really hyped for this one
I was in Paris awhile back and I saw a Notre Dame model in a lego store. This is much smaller, but I want it so badly
Nice review Tiago!
If it is not too big of a hassle taking it apart to open up the entrance, can you do a Shorts with the probe lens through the entrance? :)
If I weren't so busy with other videos... 👀👀
Wow amazing sets I was decided to buy the insects set or the himeji castle but this change my whole decision
5:22 seems like you’re still singing Rim tim tagi dim 😉 🎶 🎵
This looks beautiful.
It looks a stunning model and one I like the look of very much.
man i am al here for manny more of these.
The view through the door is wild
Great building, no daubt. Interestingly, the more the big architecture series continues, the less the push to travel around to visit the real places. But still miss some liveliness addition, like The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I never had pieces missing until the day I became a serious collector, with almost 400 sets now it's incredible how many sets come with missing pieces these days. I had 6 sets missing pieces in the last 24 months.
yesssss i love this set!!! if only i had the money....
The size is great for it to fit in a LEGO city :*
This looks wow to me. Amazing
I would love to see a pin hole camera pan through the inside
Does it come with any flame pieces?
I’ve only ever had one set with missing pieces and it was because the bag had ripped open in the factory and the pieces had fallen out. I hope missing pieces don’t start to become a trend with Lego
I NEED THIS!!
Talking about Lighting Kits - it looks like there is few third party companies that make them. Could you make a review of few, or comparison some kind?
I wish lego would do more architecture sets
I’m one that’s looking forward to getting this set.
44 views in 1 minutes he’s cooking today

What are you, a freaking CZcams counter?
There's already one under the video.
Get a life!
@@frontenac5083cry bout it
@@zaidiatoranimation3947same could be said about you
Imagine we would get i future the Minifigures from the Hunchback of Notre dame movie. That would be perfect + having this set
Nice alternate build too using some petrol and a match.
Can you make a tutorial on how to make school supplies that I can use for school with legos? I know it sounds a little crazy 😂
How many centimeters is the set actually deep? I can only find the height and length? otherwise I'm really sold
I built the front part of Notre Dame for a school project a couple of years ago, and now they have this. I still have the project built in my room, so I should definitely get this and display them together!
I think the new lego boxes are probably to limit adhesive use to the tape, no more glue with these ones i assume.
It is a very attractive product. I think I really need it for my diorama.🥰
Hey Tiago, thanks for your review! Would you consider doing reviews of other brands as well? I'm thinking of Bluebrixx Domkirche (Cologne Cathedrale) specially to see how they would compare, since they are somewhere equal in parts used (but Bluebrixx costs much less)
Not really im afraid!
@@TiagoCatarino too bad, tons of fun stuff out there :)
This is cool . One day Lego will send me to review 🥳😇
I'm curious if Lego sent you a Mona Lisa that was supposed to come out in June and then they decided to postpone it for October citing production issues
Was this before or after the fire
I want to have a Arno Dorian micro figure along with it
very cool subject for a lego set...
Ok, but does it come with flame pieces?
I originally had a LEGO gift card saved for the purchase of the LEGO MONA LISA on June 1st. But since that has been pushed back to October 1st & I am a fan (and collector) of all the LEGO Architecture series. The gift card will be used on this special set. 😅🎉❤
i like the new box
That Lego ideas cat set looks like a Lego version of my cat
How can one keep up with all the awesome releases!
Oh man, this build is fire 🔥
for a day, the real building was also
lego seems to improve a lot latly this product can objektivly compete with other brands while a few year ago every set was like yeah +30% in price because lego no this is a fair deal and a fine set. well done
Should’ve come with an alternate fire-damaged build
This set will look amazing under your macro lens
