    This is a great GPU, I have the H7 NZXT case and had to remove fans to fit it in. No coil whine - it's a fabulous upgrade on my 2080

    i picked one of these up used for 1100. no coil whine whatsoever on mine. i like the fact they use the 4090 cooler on the 4080. imho you can never go wrong with overkill on cooling.

    why did you have to send your 4090 back? Btw people are moving to 1% lows now fps, avg is not really that good for a benchmark nowadays as 1% shows how smooth gameplay will be

    • @TheTanelChannel
      @TheTanelChannel  Před rokem

      It started to make some wierd clicking noise when FPS got real high.. very strange. For the 1% though, Im never gonna include it cause it simply does not matter at all. If your PC has stuttering, its probably a failing hardware issue. Just to add, every single card has fps drops and every single card performs the same way for 0.1% and 1%, so its just clutter, useless information.

    I have a Asus Rog Strix 2080ti. It has NO coil whine. I'm only playing in 2k with a 144hz g=sync monitor. Am I going to hear cool whine on this thing? I was considering a 4090 but I think it will be overkill in 2k leaving money on the table which could be used for other things like more ram.

      @TheTanelChannel  Před rokem

      Yeah 4090 is a bit of an overkill but if you have a 2080Ti you most prolly dont have a 13900K.. so the CPU will be a bottleneck anyway. You will definetly hear coilwhine, its just do you need very high FPS in games or not, you can also play around with DLSS and Frame Generation.

      Because Nvidia made an mistake to begin with and they bought to many Big Coolers for the 4090 anyways which they dont even need. They just thought they would need them because the 3090 and TIs have been very hot already. But it turned out TSMCs Node is Way better than thought…
      Thing is, they could not back down on Preorders for those Coolers anymore so they needed to do something with them…
