Not really, MCU was not invented and Marvel Studios didn't exist until 2006 when after Marvel comics licensed their products to other studios in the 80s and 90s and earned money off Blade movies, X-Men and Spider-Man movies and earned half from the other studios, they made their own studio called Marvel Studios and Iron Man was the true official MCU movie.
True, but the way the original movie ends and what we've seen of MCU Howard the Duck, very easy to say that it took place first.

I still think the 1986 movie is good. Despite people’s (critics) opinions.
By this point, There should be a new MCU Howard the Duck film or at the very least make Howard be one of the main characters in a new Gaurdians of the Galaxy sequel, not just resorting Howard to cameos. Howard has a lot of stories and lore throughout his comic book career, just do something big with that in the big screen.
I read his comics (currently on vol 2) and wow we had a arc where he even questions his own reality yet it feel so real

@@kingkaza Exactly know what you mean. Howard the Duck comics are very philisophical. It touched upon realities and meaning behind it. Howard thinks what could be consider real or not. One of the examples I can think of as well when it comes to that is Howard the Duck issue #3, when he learns to be the Master of Quack Fu from a Senpie Master. After training there, Howard actually thought if he actually trained there or he just daydreamed there as well. One way to find out is defeating Macho and his gang(criminal kung fu fighters) to save Beverly Switzler and also for Macho to pay for what he did killing the kid who Howard temporarily knows. Yep, you described Howard's personality well. He's grumpy and he seems selfish, but he has a good heart and he deeply cares about others, including his friends. He's a good duck. And yep, before he met Beverly Switzler, Winda Wester, and Paul Same, he met the Man-Thing, Korrek the Barbarian, and Jennifer Kale. I love the Howard the Duck comic books. I'm a pretty big fan of Steve Gerber because of Howard the Duck. What's your overall opinion of the Howard the Duck comic books? :)

Howard the Duck is in avengers endgame just look at the bottom right corner of the final battle when they first got out of the portal then boom you see Howard the Duck holding a giant gun

In my opinion, Howard the Duck is the best Marvel character And best comic book character of all time! I actually want Marvel to make a new Howard the Duck movie that follows the story of the original Steve Gerber Howard the Duck comics. Unfortunately, I'm one of the only Marvel fans who loves and wants that idea. If Groot and Rocket Raccoon can have a movie in the big screen in recent years, why can't Howard the Duck have one as well? I don't understand Marvel at times -_-

I never thought about that since i met him in Ultimate Spiderman.
Disney tried to sue them, because according to them Howard looked too similar to Donald and other Disney ducks.
The creators of the comic reacted by making a comic, where Howard goes to buy new clothes. In the shop he tries Donald's sailor uniform and Scrooge's coat, before choosing a suit with pants.
Well, Howard is meant to be quite similar to Donald duck. Howard the Duck is originally invented to be a satire of Donald Duck(Fun fact by the way). I recommend checking out the original Howard the Duck comics made in the 1970's. It's a very great comic book series.

Not really. Howard the Duck has a revival comic book series in 2010's. So they still do new stories of him from time to time, but mainly in a comic book media though. When it comes to movies and TV shows on the other hand, yeah, Howard the Duck unfortunately just resort to cameos and small appearances so far. Hopefully one day Marvel will make an MCU Howard the Duck movie and make a new Howard the Duck TV show. There was going to be an animated Howard the Duck series in Hulu, but unfortunately the idea got cancelled :(
