@@rafaelrodrigues7971 seems like it makes less sense than the eldar being bootstrapped for the express purpose of using their psionic power to "forge" their gods as weapons to use against the c'tan. you're positing that the gods of the immaterium are remnants of an ancient progenitor race? this would require discarding the lore surrounding the war in heaven, and would diminish the distinction between biological beings of the material universe and the ephemeral, parasitic beings of the warp. as we understand it currently, a warp based race COULDN'T exist before the birth of the eldar because they'd have no powerful psionic forces to feed from or define their natures.
common misconception about the ruinous powers in 40K: they are not eternal. all five of the chaos gods were born, all of them were fed by material beings, and none of them could exist without feeding off of the material universe. killing khorne doesn't require killing war or anything so cosmological in scale. khorne is a PARASITE that feeds off of bloodshed, he's not the inventor or personification of bloodshed in the universe.

Would be most likely. Otherwise the Necrontyr should have been perfectly adapted for that radiation. Possibly between a few hundred and thousand years before their industrial revolution. At least that's my headcannon.

I shall need to visit a priest after writing this, for I feel the need to confess a grievous sin. I *know* the Necron-Tyr were nothing but yet another squalid race of xenos with delusions of grandeur, and I *know* that the blasphemous automata they became represent nothing less than an existential threat to our beloved Imperium. And yet...as sickening, as *wrong* as it is to feel anything but contempt and hatred for the alien...some disobedient part of my soul insists on feeling *horror* at the fate of the Necron-Tyr, and worse, *pity* for the soulless husks their race became. Perhaps the sheer magnitude of their horrific (if well-deserved) fate slips past my conscious mind, to grasp at my instincts and force such disgusting emotions upon me. I pray that these...feelings...are not the mark of some deeper, more sinister corruption.
Learn from them. The Necron's envy and spite drove them to consort with demons. The pride and lust of the Aeldari birthed a new horror of the Warp. What befell the Old Ones? Where is their power, their empire, their stories? Take heed, that these mighty empires, blessed with time, and knowledge and incalculable wealth and technology, fell. It is the twin edged knowledge that even the greatest of our enemies can fall, as can we.

I love analytical approach of Lutein09 but Baldemort and Occulus could basically describe watching paint dry with the way how they weave the story and play with the language. I love how he embraces in his role as the imperial chronicler the pervasive xenophobia of the empire in random apostils about how heinous non human life forms are. Or rather, he makes sure that the fictional reader of his fictional character is sufficiently aware that he embraces that xenophobia because he is supposed to. the most horrific story i’ve ever heard, it pains me to imagine it
The Necrons are among my favourite factions that is uniquely 40k. There is almost always a human empire, a destructive force of chaos, a band of dickheaded or otherwise arrogant elves, primary-coloured-skinned non-humans. But skeletal robots from bygone ages that were once a pitiable race of blighted people? Fascinating.
You're channel is easily the top of 40k lore videos. I hope you'll do many more Xenos focused videos in the future!

I have to wonder if
A simple necron warrior could ever regain his soul and just remember and feel all the times he was brutalized by orks , melted down by las fire , shred to pieces by holy and unholy bolt rounds , or cut down by eldars only to be teleported away and built back up and then fight on for millennia

Image if the OId Ones offered the Necrontyr a cure for their genetic degradation caused by their home star. Its not eternal life, but it would extend Necrontyr lives to never seen lengths and give them to time to develop immortality on their own. If nothing else to at least elevate the Necrontyr of the pain of life, caused by their genetic degradation.

but in the end, even though many of the Necrons had their souls devoured, the living metal Necrons use defeated C'tan so The Silent King got his vengeance. Now its time to close the Eye of Terror and destroy Chaos, whoo! Or Tyranids might have a tickle fest and destroy the warp lolol

Hey Oculos, this is something that Ive been meaning to ask you since I discovered you through the journey to Terra video, which was excellent, and that is what is the music you use for videos? It's wonderful to listen too and I need something new to add to my warhammer painting/reading playlist.
It's now believed the Old Ones did offer the Necrontyr a cure for their genetic degradation and extend their life spans. But the Necrontyr were insulted by the offer, they wanted to be immortal gods and not to just live longer as weak mortal flesh.
