- I will never forget the day I visited Comayagua, a small colonial town in Honduras. On the one hand it is a very beautiful town with very friendly people who will always help you with anything you need. However, I met 2 little street hustlers who showed me the rough side of Honduras where many children have a different reality and problems to deal with than most of us have had.
I hope this video helps you understand their situation and if you ever see similar legends in a country you are exploring, you will know how to make their day that much better!!

The oldest clock in the western world is located there in that cathedral, it was a gift from the king of Spain to Honduras in colonial times. The clock was built in the year 1000.
That's cool to know. I saw the second oldest clock in the Americas in Mérida, Venezuela some eight years ago and I always wondered where they had that oldest clock 😉
"The worlds oldest surviving working clock is the faceless clock dating from 1386, or possibly earlier, at Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire, UK. It was restored in 1956, having struck the hours for 498 years and ticked more than 500 million times." -guinnessworldrecords
"The Comayagua cathedral clock, also known as the Arabic clock or the Comayagua clock, is a gear clock dated from the medieval times located in the city of Comayagua, in the Republic of Honduras. It is considered the oldest clock in the Americas and the oldest gear clock in the world still in operation since it has been working for more than 900 years." -wikipedia
Am I missing something or are these sources contradicting each other? I wonder which one is actually the oldest.
@@happysue82 The one in Salisbury Cathedral is the oldest working clock in the world. The one in Honduras is the oldest in the Americas which were discovered in 1492. Any clocks in America were initially imported from Europe.
@@happysue82 I asked the AI and it says the oldest clock is located in Comayagua
i ate dinner at that resturant next to the church every friday .... i never knew that
God bless you bro. Thanks for buying those kids food.
Thank you for encouraging the youth! ❤❤❤ The mindset is so sad, but it’s hard when you have little to no opportunities. This is why my grandmother immigrated to the states from Honduras with my mother and uncle. Lack of opportunity and poverty. God bless 🙏🏼❤️
Birth control only hope
@@anthonydavis3424 no its not, its us idiots in western world that have all resources to step in and help and choose not to. We choose to have dick measuring competition with putin spending 1 trillion dollars no now ok 500 billion, will be 1 trillion next year, for one war
That’s not solving the problem, that’s just making you another society’s problem
Tim, I love your content. Your perspective is full of fun and compassion. Sharing your icecream on a blistering hot day was lovely but hanging out with the little heros was where its at.
Thanks a lot Lacey for taking the time watching the video and appreciating it! Means a lot for me to be able to share what I see during traveling- both good and bad!🙏🏼🔥
Thank you for the video Tim, you are a very underrated creator. showing us unknown for us cultures. Emotionally moving watching these kids struggle, glad you were there to help them. Love
Thank for taking the time watching it my friend!! Your honest true words really motivate me to keep creating!! 🙏🏼🙂
Heartbreaking to see kids having to work like that, your a good man Timmy 👍🏻
The ending part . I know deep down it touched your heart man … good dude for helping those two kids …
Your channel is so criminally underrated
Wow!! Thank u so much bro for the appreciation of my videos!! Honestly that keeps me motivated!! All the best to you mate❤️🔥
🥲❤️Thank you so much for sharing this video. It’s not easy in Honduras. Yes the kids are poor and their parents make them have responsibilities at a very young age. However the majority of these kids are very smart and super advance for their age. You have an amazing heart. It was great seeing the Cathedral that my great grandmother was baptized. There is a lot of Spanish descendants but the majority of them are politicians doctors business owners etc….
Thank you bro for feeding those kids. You are a awesome person bro!!!!
Tim. You are a good man with a big heart ♥ !! Good on you.
Awesome content dude! What a beautiful act of kindness. I guarantee you those kids will never ever forget your encounter. As an American who worked with unaccompanied Central American migrant teenagers, they often drop school to work at an early age.
We was about to see him flip a ice cream hahha that was so sweet of her she was going to pay him for the ice cream
Hello Tim, you keep making new viewers and subscribers because you are a kind hearted people person. You have the gift of engaging in good conversations with all types of people. Keep doing you. Thank you for helping the kids. The little talk you gave them might influence them in the future, who knows.
Same is true in lots of places in mexico man. Lots of kids in oaxaca city selling things. Gotta do what you gotta do to survive. It is sad though. Kids should be kids and be free to play and enjoy themselves.
Yea u right in Oaxaca and Chiapas too!! The biggest problem is if they don’t go to school or they quit before they even turn 12😕
They sell things in queens ny too. Don’t get it twisted, a lot of times the parents are “mantenidos” of the kids.
I’ve seen kids in north philadelphia selling water bottles at stoplights
Timmy you're a good guy with a kind heart. Thanks for helping those 2 young boys it warmed my heart. You will make a great father one day.Safe Travels you do an amazing job with your channel Thanks for sharing your travels. 🇺🇸 ✌👊
Thank you for sharing your story and highlighting the plight of some of the less fortunate children in Honduras. It is heartbreaking to see how they have to struggle just to get by, but uplifting to know that there are kind people like you who are willing and able to help make their lives just a little bit better. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and helping us to understand what we can do to help. Also while you in Honduras, why don't you try to smoke some Coca and tell us about it?!
goed gedaan Tim!!! Ik kijk graag naar je video's en het respect dat je hebt voor arme mensen
Thanks for my sharing Tim such a great video. Especially when you make those kids day taking them to eat food, I think you make two of them wishes come true that day. And also for showing the other face of Central America, that there are good peoples as well
Thanks for telling them to get an education, Tim. Happy travels.
Cute, pretty Honduran you gifted the ice cream too! Grateful.
Yeaaa she was so kind and pure person😋🔥
Your videos are fascinating and the most realistic and true to the reality that I have found. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
keep making these videos! This is how we make the world a better place!!!! Gracias Timmy!!!!!!!

Life isn’t fair
Si bro it isn’t 🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing your adventures Tim. If it wasn't for you like a few others, we would never experience this type of entertainment of such rural places. You are a straight forward guy and have a good heart. Keep up the hard work and the content flowing. We are watching. Your experience isn't going unnoticed.
The boys are so awesome and smart ❤️
Eres un BonBón…besitos desde Culebra, PR
Thank you Tim for giving those young boys some food and advice
La Ciudad se llama COMAYAGUA, ES MUY TURISTICO , su Catedral es muy antigua y posee el reloj más antiguo de América,
Del mundo
Love what your doing it’s a beautiful thing to see good hearted humans this day and age
I felt so sorry for those little kids, they work 9 hours without eating and got beaten when they don't makes sales, this is so sad, thank you very much for buying those kids some food, God bless you bro. Child labour also exist in Africa where you see kids that are suppose to be in school hawking in the traffic, it so sad you, some part of Africa even use their kids to work as maids for other people, this is so sad for me bro. Great video bro, keep up the entertainment
I've been to Honduras and it's Priceless
Timmy Karter! You're very kind hearted man. May God bless you!
I've visited Comayagua a few times mostly passing through and not staying more than a few hours. Never stayed the night. Small town and somewhat quiet. With the opening of the international airport down the road there is a hope that the area will develop more. Time will tell.
Hola timmy bienvenido a la más bella ciudad colonial de Honduras mi querida comayagua.
top boy, great video, the reality is harsh. keep on trucking amigo
The ice cream man🤣🤣 he so nice hustling he was trynna give you one for 20 & when you said 2 for 10 he was like oh you guessed huh🤣🤣 he never told you the price
Sos un amor brother !! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Muchas gracias hermano🙏🏼🔥
Comayagua has really grown I was a Peace Corps volunteer nearby in the 1980s and I don't recognize the town with all the development.
Aww, man. I want to visit Honduras again.. I was in El progreso yoro when I was 10. My family are from there.. i'd imagine it's different now. 😊
my mom is from Honduras and we visited where you are last year it was fun
This is a great guy god bless this man he has a good heart.
I was there in 2003. Really dangerous. But had a blast there.
Madre Mia, thank you Timmy!
Excellent video, thanks for your help. The money may not be the best answer but the advice of learning english was the best of it. 👍
This is all new to me. I’m going there to visit grandparents soon.
My girlfriend in Honduras is a widow with 3 children. Her children (two are teenagers) go to school and the four of them have survived on very little. Not all children work in Honduras.
Thank you Tim u showing world. No dangerous city. Love you from India Hyderabad.
How are you bro, your video is not coming. eagerly waiting for your video ❤😀tommy i miss you
Asi es tim da tristesa pero asi es..en toda latinoamerica...cuidate hermano..vva mexico
Muchas gracias bro🔥🙏🏼
The one with the black shirt has been through some rough things in life 😢
Nice tour of Comayagua. Are you planning on going through Tegucigalpa? Or visit a smaller rural town like Lepaterique where it’s safer? I have a friend who moved from Tegus to Lepaterique with her family when the gangs forced them out of their living quarters in Tegus because the landlord wouldn’t pay the gang tax. You could probably interview her and family about their experiences both positive and not so positive.
Is Lepaterique located in Olancho ?
My favorite CZcamsr madre mia always good content wzap from Sacramento amigo
Timmy I luv your stories about kindness...you're an awesome person with positive views of humans regardless of their background 👍
Welcome to Honduras bro🇭🇳❤️🙏God bless you nice video
Thanks a lot Juan amigo! I had such a great time in Honduras 🇭🇳🙏🏼
ive walked from that bus station to the downtwn. it takes a bit. That city is safe. its where i go when i been to honduras. From Tegucigalpa mall you can get a express bus there easy.
Timmy you are officially granted the title of Latino presented to you on behalf of all latinos worldwide🤣😆thank you for what you did for those kids, I know you have a big heart, Timmy youre amazing
Chingon chingon greetings from guerrero México

I spent a week in Comayagua in 2006 with a Lions club mission. The people are very friendly, poor but very hospitable.
I was planning to go in Comayagua Honduras next year to meet a friend hope its safe there
of course it is safe
Tamarindo horrible🤣🤣🤣 I love Tamarindo, thank you for treating those kids so nice and friendly, you were so kind. God bless you and for the advice you gave to them.
Hahahaha tamarindo hahah ! Thanks a lot for your kind words Mary and yea about the kids I tried to be kind and help them
Have a slightly different day that usual🙏🏼
Tim,thanks for visiting my country Honduras, you should visit Trujillo, Colón,its a small colonial city very safe ,caribean ocean,ITS so sad the young people dont have opportunities for work in Honduras, shame on the past goberments and the one we have rigth now
Very informative video mucho gusto
Comayagua is a beutiful place to live and work. Is a city now..
fantastic.....great to give the kids some money, and learn the real truths about places....this is travelling...not all the booze and clubs with westerners...
proper deep cultural stuff.
My fav vid.
Those kids were not saying they get hit in their face, they’re saying they will get scolded like a spanking for not selling, not hit in the face
so in comayagua they respect the siesta time.... usually things slow down around 12 pm to 3pm... mainly bcuz of the heat and the tatascon
I am going on a mission trip in a couple of days with the Franciscan Friars who live and work with the people there in Comayagua.
It was a beautiful video, but, look, I live in Honduras, and I have seen that you go to the worst (poorest, dangerous) places in this country, and we have poverty, but we have better places than those too, where there is not security bars, and you could feel comfortable and safe. Maybe you always have a very bad luck traveling here. (My recommendation is that you follow the videos of youtuber Shin Fujiyama for more ideas about this country). But anyways your videos are the best!!, (and other thing; Id like to know how to you learned English) Thanks a lot.
Thing is there are plenty of videos highlighting the beauty of the country. I think he goes for raw which is good to give the perspective.
@@kinggadm1234 "I am now able to grasp your viewpoint, in which you posit that it is essential to showcase both the aesthetic appeal and the factual reality of a nation in order to attain a holistic perspective. Nevertheless, I contend that there are locations in that country that are even more superior. I concur with your statement."
Bars on windows and security gates on doors are typical thing for homes here in the US, cities like Los Angeles, CA.
I was there in 1987 when I was in the Army. I was station just out side of town at Honduras Air Force base. Seems like it's hasn't progress at all. Use to go to a club Carnival and the kids would ask for money.
21:44 need to look more into this
You are a great man.
Keep the videos coming Euthimi also if they were a bit longer it would be great.
Thank u George!! Yea some are shorter some longer depending the experience 🔥🙏🏼🙂
@@TimmyKarter got it makes sense are u coming to Greece at all for summer?
Bro I saw my uncle house next to the church , across from the park there's like a club/bar where celebrities used to perform before it got dangerous
my exclasmate was Ypsilanti. from Greece his dad was a dr en comayagua. in honduras there are lots greek families.
You a cool guy. I respect you
I’ve never more sick than when I had one of those homemade ice creams in Mexico.
Tim you are a great happiness creator
Thanks a lot brother!! I just react on what i see haha sometime im happy and other times frustrated haha
I have to watch Honduras traveling videos because I’m going to Honduras this summer with my dad because we’re going to see our family but I’ve never been there and I’m scared I’m gonna get kidnapped or hurt so I have to watch traveling videos so I don’t think about that😂
I was in Comayagua in 2012-2013 when I was in the army. The people are very nice but you have to watch out where you go. It is very dangerous in certain areas and at night time. One of my favorite restaurants to eat was at El Torito. Not sure if it still exists b it the food was very good.
Creo que unos lentes cuadrangulares, pequeños se le verían mejor! Esos son muy grandes! 😂
🕊
Good advice bro
You know if there is any, lack of better word, missionary or outreach programs for that area of Honduras? I like how it didn't have a big city feel
En la ciudad de Comayagua hay muchos salvadoreños viviendo allí
they have free wifi in that park you got the ice cream
❤
Air Show!!! 😄 10:40
Comayagua is safe during the day most places. Worst chance is to get robbed by a couple guys on a motorbike. That or sketchy guys walking the streets at night. At night its dangerous in the hills above Comayagua as well as the southeast neighborhoods and most outlier areas from the urban center. Never had issue at night at specific locations if I travelled by personal auto or taxi around the urban core. Had a few parties private until late at night and no issues when in a group. Just dont walk alone at night or stand out too much near where you stay.
Also did you not check out the open air markets and mall? That place is crazy busy and fun to shop in lol.
hi tim, what do you put your camera in? a sock? jaja
Hahah its a foam - like a sponge 🧽 for gopro - and helps the audio a lot🙂
Have seen this a lot in certain countries eg Nicaragua. 10 year old kids everywhere selling..and people think India is poor.99% $ Hondurans are great people as we know
💖💘💖
