Fleming Yachts dealer Burr Yacht Sales recently delivered this new 65 in South Florida. Some of the unique features to this F65 include solar panels, Lithium batteries, Humphree Stabilizers, and much more.
The Fleming 65 has a low profile and low center of gravity that, when combined with the comfortable accommodations, makes it a perfect luxury cruiser for the Great Loop.

I watch a lot of the Fleming Yacht adventures and they are great. He's living the dream, that's for sure so good on them.

I saw a Fleming 55 enter a marina in Montreal over the weekend. It was eye catching 1/2 a mile out, and when it entered the marina it was a show stopper.

Superb attention to detail I always say to myself when watching your videos and I can see glimpses of design elements on your yacht, the engineering in that engine room looks superb.. if I could afford a yacht I would definitely get one of these, looks perfect, and obviously built with due care

I noticed the 8 solar panels on the top. I would love to see the data on battery output based on full charge and recharge times in full sun, etc. I would love to cut the number of hours on the generator to lengthen the generator life and cut down on fuel use.

The Fleming is a gorgeous boat. That said and recognizing that this might be viewed as a minor detail, but I am underwhelmed by the simple, basic sliding bolts they use to secure the doors on the Portuguese Bridge as well as the door hinge that is used. I have seen a review of Nordhavn 68. The hinge and bolt system used on that Portuguese Bridge door is comparable to what you might see on a safe at a Bank. For a yacht of this magnitude and at this price point, I would expect Fleming to use something far more robust. It doesn't change my overall view of the Fleming 65 and 78. They are superb. I just like to see every decision reflect the same level of pursuit of excellence. Those little hinges fall far below a pursuit of excellence unlike everything else Fleming chose for their boats.

How about a walkthrough of a 65’ with a midship master. The old fashioned master in the V-berth section is okay for small boats but the noise and movement isn’t a tradeoff for better natural light and ventilation.
Beautiful vessel! How can she possibly do the entire great loop? No way for her to have a bridge clearance of 15 foot!😂
Hmm, I hadn't realized that the 65 was loop capable (I'm guessing that's with the radar and light mast down). Although the 5 foot draft could make for a VERY nervous trip going up the ICW through Georgia and the Carolina's!
Yeah, it does not really strike me as a good loop boat. Nice boat nonetheless.

Yeah barely squeak's in. Of course you could loop by staying offshore from Key West to NYC. No problem for a Fleming. Then either up the Erie canal or on around Maine and up the St Lawrence.
I’ve done the trip from Key West to Maine in a 65 Fleming several times. No problems with depth on the ICW just the usual caution. My preference is to be offshore and this boat certainly handles it.
@JTLYK IXOYE One of Fleming’s hull design aims is the avoidance of wave slap and hull slamming in rough seas. This would not be possible with hard chines forward. For those boaters that are less inclined to encounter rough seas, Fleming offers a spray rail option that is adhered to the hull side forward and is available from new or can be retrofitted.

Really like all this vessel offers, oy thing missing got me is bow seating. Can this be customized to add it in.
She's Catagory A rated. So bow seats...probably not. She can cruise inland waterways but primarily she's a creature of the sea. The bows are usually off limits while at sea and that makes the Portugese bridge very appealing.

There is for 75 feet and up. Also the recently introduced Fleming 60 has separate accommodation aft for a captain.

We came down from Vancouver on a friend’s boat to Mexico, and a captain was hired for that trip. Fortunately a captain’s cabin and crew cabin were available. After safely arriving in Acapulco they flew back to Vancouver and the owner took over.
Would anything need to be removed/lowered for it to handle the bridges on the Great Loop?
Antennas and mast. Tony Fleming managed it in F65 Venture through the Erie/Oswego Canals with its 15' 7" fixed bridge (normal pool) on the Erie canal.

@@TheSirUno But Tony never did the Chicago part of the Great Loop, with its low bridge clearances. Removing the mast, radars and domes could become quite the challenge to complete the Great Loop. Any owners out there up to the challenge?
Burr has a hinged carbon fiber mast option that likely makes the prep a lot easier for the Loop bridges.

A Fleming 65 is too tall to do the Great Loop.
It is OK up the Erie Canal to Lake Ontario provided you lower the mast but I don't know the rest of the way through the Gt Loop. Maybe OK if you lower the radar arch.
