    Diana was young, beautiful and adored Charles. The treachery that unfolded was breathtaking. I’m a Conservative elderly Australian but can never forgive or forget what this cruel pair put Diana through. I will never accept this couple and sadly can see Australia leaving the Commonwealth. The only thing that could have saved this dilemma was if Prince William had become King, he’s tough and has what it takes to be a brilliant King and who won’t demand that his (shoe laces be ironed.) I can’t bring my self to address Charles as King and Camilla as queen, it irks me too much. 🇩đŸ‡ș🇩đŸ‡ș🇩đŸ‡ș

      English, in England, and agree 100% I have noticed that here, people have forgotten Diana. I'm afraid any respect I had for the royal family died with Diana. I find it disgusting the way the papers vilify Harry, totally forgetting the trauma he and William went through because of their father's entitled behaviour. Harry was younger, and watching him being forced to follow a coffin containing his dead Mother was unforgivable. This country doesn't have a king, and the role is not viable today. He really isn't that important anymore, and a 'queen consort'?? Irrelevant

      How can you say Charles is tough, he’s weak for crying out loud. His family even says he’s helpless. The only thing in his head was having sex with an adulterous bimbo. You can almost sat Meghan and Camilla are the same. Both smirk, both are sick mentally. Both think they can start giving orders. No Charles is a weakling. He is a joke.

      @@Apollo_Blaze It's so refreshing to hear someone who doesn't put Harry down constantly. None of these people know what goes on inside. William always has been more conventional, but it was their so called father who messed the kids up, and destroyed their Mum. He is not bright (really struggled at University, even with the help, (his bodyguard got far better grades, who did the same course just to pass the time!), and his imagination couldn't stretch to his kids' wellbeing. It was disgusting to use Diana by marrying her while in love with C. I have always also been very suspicious of the way she died at 36 (the queen had 60 more years than Diana: she never stood a chance). Her death solved far too many problems for the monarchy

    I, too have mixed feelings about Camilla, the Queen Consort. Diana will always be Queen in my heart, because her senseless and deeply tragic death occurred when I was 20 and it was the splintering moment between being a child and adult. I continue to mourn the loss of Diana. It was a JFK moment for many, and the final Royal funeral of the 20th Century. Horrible for Charles to finally discover he loved her after her death, but too little too late. I wish for the restitution of Diana's HRH title now that Charles is King. Yes, she had underlying psychological issues which weren't her fault but my goodness she worked so hard to win the adoration given to her in 1997 and she was deeply genuine about it! • @theon9575
      @theon9575 Pƙed rokem

      Forget elegance and beauty, Diana was herself clearly not the EPITOME OF VIRTUE or even of a devoted mother. She developed a reputation for loose sexual behaviour, various boyfriends and casual sexual relationships, even with members of her bodyguard. We are all responsible for our own morality - blaming a weak husband doesn't work.
      đŸ€ŁđŸ˜‚đŸ˜± Sacrificial lamb? You're kidding. It's her children I feel sorry for. At 10 years, Harry had the shame and grief of his mother in a car accident while she was away on a dirty weekend with her millionaire boyfriend on a yacht in the Mediterranean! My mother and probably yours, was at home caring for me when I was that age, and never went away on dirty weekends. My God đŸ˜±
      THE EPITOME OF ROYAL VIRTUE, to my mind, was King Charles' great-great-grandmother, Queen Alexandra. Her husband made Charles' look like a teenaged beginner! King Edward VII had numerous mistresses throughout his life. He kept them and even informally lived with the last few. These mistresses even had special seats in a group at his funeral. 😂 He spent more time with whores in the brothels of Paris than with his family. His endless debauchery was well known in the land. But Queen Alexandra did not, as Princess Diana did, use this as an excuse to sleep around herself and become the town bike. Instead, her husband's disgusting behaviour caused her to be even more steadfast, determined that her strength and virtue would continue to provide a solid, moral family life for her children, according to her duties as Queen and mother. Her strength of character, sense of duty and moral model, assures Queen Alexandra a place in the history books.
      I sometimes wonder if this Diana, skitting around sleeping with her bodyguards or dirty weekends with a millionaire boyfriend on a yacht, had ever even heard of her, publicly shaming her little boys with whom a good mother should have spent her weekends. Diana was so promiscuous that many people suspect that Harry is not even the son of Charles. God's Heavenly Angels are very forgiving.

      Diana had abandonment issues as a result of her childhood. How come no one in her own family looked to her wellbeing - no one? They were all too busy celebrating the triumph of the match. But the old Earl could have told Charles "You need to wait - she's too young - give it a year" - had they waited a year before getting engaged - or even got engaged and waited a year before the big day - I don't think it would have ever reached the altar. Both would have realised that it was unworkable. One of the big problems which no one ever seems to even mention is the total difference in interests and outlook. Charles was a country-man; a reader, a painter; had intellectual interests she could never share - his mistake was to believe this young girl would grow with him. Diana was very urban - loving pop bands, the gym, glamour and having fun with friends of her own age. Contrary to her background, she didn't share country pursuits like hunting and shooting - or seemingly much care for horses or dogs. Charles was being pushed by his father - whom he was always trying to please - and she wasn't protected by her father - or her mother - either of whom should have seen the writing on the wall. I was only 21 when they got engaged, and I felt instinctively that it was not going to work. They were too different in interests, and that matters far more than age, class, or almost anything else. You have to have at least some key things in common.

      It was always discussed that Diana had boderline personality disorder. The origin lys in a neglected childhood, but often it developes not before adolesence. And this was the reason why Diana acted extreme in the first stressfull years after the wedding.

Not realizing that you can't do anything about it if someone doesn't love you. I'm assuming that Diana felt similarly cheated out of the love she had for the King. You know what though, she really was far too young to take on the post she was given. She'd never been in a serious relationship and didn't know that it can go sour really fast. She probably loved the idea of being a princess though, her wedding dress tells it all. Something a princess in a children's show would be wearing. Silly stuff. But yes, it hurts like hell.

Diana never wanted a divorce but I think had she lived she would in the end see how wrong he was for her, and have wished him well. I think in the end Diana knew he was just so in love with Camille for years and that wouldn't change so she was better off getting a divorce and moving on with her life.

    While everyone mentions how Camilla broke up Charles and Diana’s marriage, please remember that it was Charles who took vows with Diana. In my eyes, HE should have been the one to stop the affair to begin with, whether it was he or Camilla wanting an affair. If he was persistent wanting to see Camilla, then it should have been Camilla putting her foot down with not starting up with him after he took his vows with Diana. The red flag for me was when he and Diana were newly engaged and during a TV interview, he was asked if he was in love and he replied, “Whatever in love means.” I KNEW right then it was a disaster and the look on Diana’s face said it all. Prince Charles is nothing but a spoiled child and what one gentleman said on this video, Camilla seems to fill in all of what he needs and I don’t see Prince Charles attending to any of her needs. Not that I get a vote but I have no respect for either Charles or Camilla.

      He told Diana that all Princes of Wales had mistresses and surely she didn't expect him to break with tradition? [paraphrasing ] .
      Ergo, it was HIS enormous sense of entitlement (and the encouragement of Louis Mountbatten, his 'honorary grandfather', and his 'mentor'' Laurens van der Post) which fomented this situation which broke up two families, involving 4 children which led to behavioural difficulties for at least 2 of them, led ultimately to Diana's premature death (and 2 others and life changing injuries for another), and ensured that Camilla had to endure many years of being pilloried and her good name trashed. Imagine if Camilla had been able to say no....she and her husband and family would have been very quietly, with icy politeness and without any public acrimony, shunned by those in the circles in which they all moved. They may have had to live abroad even. Their children would also have been persona non grata and without the careers they have now.
