In this video, my intentions are to show you how much of a difference there is in everyday performance between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 11 with a few simple real world tests. This is why I love iPhones. A three years old phone 7 is keeping up easily with the brand new iPhone 11. The few milliseconds difference doesn’t mean anything in daily use.

My words. I upgraded last year from 7 to XS Max because of the nice, large display. Speed wise I didn’t see any difference.

king of heartbreaks I’ve had my iPhone 7 since January 2017 and the battery started to get bad a few months ago. It’s a really great phone but my mom and I agreed to upgrade it to an iPhone 11 before Christmas this year. I usually keep a phone for 2.5- 3 years. But seeing how iPhones aren’t having that much improvement every year, I’ll probably end up keeping the iPhone 11 for at least 4 years.

I have the exact same 7 thinking of getting the iPhone 11 that big screen is soo tempting
Remember that the screen is longer but actually not so much larger so for example if you watch yt which use the 16/9 format the difference will be almost zero. I was first disappointed when upgraded from s7 to s8 because of the same thing. I had the iPhone x and loved the faceid (today fingerprint under display are just bad). In the end if you want faceid, those nice gestures to navigate and a little bigger screen is definitely worth it
And obviously the camera is better

I upgraded from the 7 to the 11 and this shows how Apple products perform throughout their life cycle. The workflow of FaceID with the new gestures feels so much better than the home button and TouchID in my opinion. That is the major upgrade and my 7 is still a great device.
Most high end phones are great devices. I think this vid just proves how small an upgrade in performance you get with each iPhone compared to what Apple claims
I'll tell you its just little upgrade to the 2018 model of xr look at both side the iphone 11 are only put dual camera and adding new features plus xdr display while iphone xr are hdr display but both are same and nothing new only new iphone 11 upgrade there software to recieve more new features and more experience but i cant say the difference im only saying its no comparison and not worth the upgrade if you keep waiting until 2020 you will see the real upgrade of iphone

Those comparisons have already beenand FYI Android has gotten way better over the years I West has remained the same pretty much except for a few minor tweaks so if you want to be smartarse I could go and say Android has made bigger strides in software than iOS has

I still love my 7 Plus and will try to hang on to it until 2020, in hopes that those iPhones will have Touch ID. I’m not a fan of Face ID.

Hexed - just personal preference mostly. With Touch ID you don’t have to pick up your phone and look at it to open. I like to be able to open it on a table or open it while it’s in my purse. However, I’m sure I would get used to Face ID, but since i still enjoy my 7 Plus, I might as well keep it for another year. Who knows, maybe the 2020 phones will have Touch ID and a smaller notch. A win win 😃
Faceid is convenient and very fast on iOS 13. That notification preview on seeing phone feature is the best

Happynsnappy you know you don’t have to have Face ID. You can enable it or disable Face ID. But you cant have Touch ID on x or 11

I got my iPhone 7 at launch and I’m very happy with it! Except for iPhone X, we didn’t have any major releases since then, so it’s still a great, great smartphone! I’m not going to upgrade until 2021 at least.

White Fox general launching apps isn’t taxing. 4K video exporting, Photo editing, heavy 3D gaming etc. makes the difference.

Apple's numbers are independently verified by all reviewers - none of the apps he ran would tax even the iPhone 6s A9 - where you would see the difference is if he tried to use luma fushion to encode a 10m video 4K 60FPS video - IMO, this is great that Apple keeps optimizing for older hardware so can keep using their devices.

I’ve had my iPhone 11 for about a month now, and I’m using Speech to text and the bar isn’t even moving, sometimes when I try to power it off at the screen goes black and then it takes forever to boot off, it batteries OK catchy catchup and sometimes the apps close out

Don't forget that due to screen size, the iPhone 11 is loading more content in certain apps because they all use dynamic content loading. Its loading in assets as you go further down the feed. Still, impressive how well the iphone 7 performs and stil has latest software and security patches. Any android phone from 2016 that have latest android version supported officially?

The battery on 7’s are reallllyyy starting to degrade. Mine barely lasts a couple of hours.
My battery life is at 82%, you can change your battery and you’re Ok for 4 years 😂😂

unfortunately my iphone 7 after 8 months of use started getting very warm, the battery lasted for about 6h straight and after dropping it on the floor from my bed the home button and vibrations made rattling sounds (it won’t stop)
With opening the apps if you do playback speed 0.25 the 11 and 7 tie because the 1a needs to go faster to get bigger but they officially fully open at the same time
