Here are some basic greetings in Cantonese!
There are numbers 1 to 6, which appear on the right top of each syllable, represent the tone of that word.

it's the same in Mandarin too: 拜拜 (bai4bai). And the formal goodbye is the same but pronunciation is different: 再见 (zai4jian4).

hello is this the actual way to write the tone (at the top right hand corner as a superscript) because i'm trying to write cantonese words using alphabets for my school assignment but i would need to include the tones and i've been trying to find different websites but most of then just put nei5 ho2 thank you!!

Hi, the superscript is not necessary just and it is totally okay to be written as "nei5 ho2" (more convenient in fact!)
Some people use superscript just because it's easier to read, when the number's appeared only as reminder of the tone. :)

iam confused because people write and speak a word but that is not the same. Just like "see"when we write we write看 and when we speak we say "thie"

Yes it could be confusing and I understand that, Cantonese is a colloquial language indeed. Nevertheless, people will definitely understand it if you write "睇" to express "to see", just that "看" is the formal and proper way to be written.

Modern standardized Chinese writing is based on Mandarin so if you see a discrepancy between what people say in Cantonese and what they write, it is because they are writing as one would say it in Mandarin.
