Now we can really talk about a graceful old laker passing through the canal, under the Aerial Bridge, and entering the harbor. There is something about the old lakers, with their bridge on the bow, that just makes them look much more graceful than their newer brethren.
Apparently Lower Lakes Towing has arranged for the Michipicoten to go to Fraser Shipyards in Superior, Wisconsin. Cargo has been offloaded to the Manitoulin at Keefer Terminal in Thunder Bay.
Patch repair completed in Thunder Bay. But it is a temporary fix until ship can be put into dry dock for further investigation. But since Thunder Bay’s dry dock is long closed, who knows what will happen. Should be some news by the end of this week or early next.

She’s a beauty! Different ship but enjoy seeing her come to the Harbor!

My personal favorite of the visitors to Duluth
Quite possibly Michpicotten's last pass under the bridge.
Not sure if she made another trip back to Duluth since this video, but possibly her last voyage into Duluth harbor if they decide not to fix her. :(
