- We are proud to present the Tumbleweed Cedar Starburst on this week's episode of Tiny Home Tuesday. You know how we like to do things here at Recreational Resort Cottages, we took this classic OG floorplan and revamped it with a brand new special feature. This new porch design is something we have never done before but we have a feeling will be something that will be quickly popularized and continued for a long time. The Tumbleweed is finished out in a rustic cabin look, from the stained cedar accents all around the exterior to the touches of Southern Yellow Pine throughout the interior of the Park Model. To keep things consistent we took the same tile that was done in the kitchen and carried it on over to the bathroom, we ran the squared tile behind the sink as well as in the shower. The tile runs from floor to ceiling, we also added an accent strip down the middle of the shower of the Pebble Stone tile. The Tumbleweed is a popular home due to its incredible design and layout.

The Tumbleweed Cedar Starburst is on sale today for $112,000. The price includes delivery and tiedowns within 100 miles (additional freight charges apply for farther distances), a/c and heat system installed, manufacturer's warranty, plus a 7 year extended service contract.

Lovely. The red sofa pops. If they put a large bay window instead of the two living room windows they could add more seating for company while still having a great view. Or, it would add a nice sleeping area for four-legged family members 😃

This is just about the right amount of wood. And, the starburst porch IS definitely the star of the show.

So much to love here! The wood ceiling on the porch is gorgeous! Love the screened in patio and the pine look inside. Really like the pebbles in the shower. The kitchen is just beautiful. Great home! .

This is a GORGEOUS porch! Could you build one that is double in size? A space for a wood burning stove would be perfect. The rolling island could be a little larger. Have you considered adding a skylight in the bedroom for stargazing? Beautiful house! 👏👏

I'd like ro see you put a loft area above the porch! Make steps leading up to the porch loft. Where you can sleep outside if you want to. Eapecially add to those house porches with a fireplace, that can heat the porch loft in cool weather! Even squeeze in a small bathroom! You could house a big group of family members or close friends! The porch could act as a lounge area for those who chose to sleep in the loft and everyone can eat outside on the porch slash lounge area! Keeps the house clutter free!

Love the relaxing cabin style..also the screened-in front porch..could dine outside often with the screen protection. Likes the SYP over all..especially the starburst! ….Likes the no carpet option…The loft area seems so comfy. For extra cabinets in the kitchen…will probably delete range…convection microwave w cooktop!! Love the width of the floor plan!
I like the floorplan of the tumbleweed. However , I could do without the loft.

The screened-in porch is a winner--add a fireplace too! I would get rid of the stove and microwave and add a cooktop with storage below. I would get a Breville Toaster Oven Airfryer for baking. I love love the starburst ceilings. Can the loft above the bedroom be shortened so the bedroom has a higher ceiling and a smaller loft? Just a great flexible home. You got the bedroom windows right for privacy and security, yet nice lighting. Love it!

Can't do a loft, don't like crawling around on my hands and knees. 😊
Like this model. Could do without the loft but have a built in storage unit. Would like higher ceilings. No storage in stairs. Would like to see built in storage drawers in the wall spaces between the kitchen and living space. No microwave over range but built in a wall in the kitchen. Like the moveable island and screened in porch. Needs another exit door. Like that the stackable washer is not in the bedroom nor bathroom. Would like a closed in shower with seating. Useable windows instead of the picture windows for emergency exits. A couch with built in storage and still comfortable and roomy enough to sit on. 2 railings on the porch stairs. Make porch stairs flatter to climb for people with stepping up issues.

Could the front porch be made for year-round living? If you add a sleeper sofa, this becomes a second bedroom. I would use the porch for my living area and the living room inside would be my dining area.
Beautiful...what's the cost?..the roof in the loft could be a little higher,perfect for a tv room.
If you went with 24 inch appliances would it be possible to fit in a 24 inch dishwasher? Maybe a smaller microwave to have balance with the the stove? kl

What I don't understand is why do you always put the functional windows up so high that you need a ladder to open them and picture windows that are useless down below????
Yep...been wondering about that as well. Not to mention those clearstory windows are a lot more expensive than the transom windows. I opted for 6 transoms in my tiny home and they provide more than enough light.
Just taking a guess, but may be for security, plus how would you open a window shaped like that, and could have something to do with aerodynamics due to being a movable house..Or..maybe none of those reasons...
Make some 599 homes LR larger. Drop ceiling by 6"at least. So loft is larger. Even drop floor in be. So maybe 12" could be addedvto loft height. Then you'd be selling your butt off.
A critter screened deck, excellent. Don't care for the orange wood, though. There's not a lot of clearance between the island and the kitchen cabinetry. This model is more traditional and not to my taste.
Kill the loft. Keep the high ceiling.
Love the layout BUT wish I could get this with No loft but with the higher ceilings. Would make the bath and bedroom feel much bigger. (also wish it wasn't so much in cost)

It's like so many trends "FOR US" a cheap way FOR YOU to save money while looking good. Parasites. Not YOU specifically--though UGH at you sir--but at YOUR BOSSES?

15 x 36 for only $112K? I know someone else who builds homes, cheaply I may add, who would charge far more than this! And NONE of the amenities! I love that knotty pine look and those pocket doors. Those prismatic windows are very classy. I could see them covered with beautiful window film.
