- We're delighted to present our brand refresh, which comes 20 years after we last invested in new brand livery, and reflects our position as a modern airline.
We have evolved from an Irish airline that flies internationally to an international airline that is proud to be Irish. In addition to the new brand identity and livery, we will also unveil a new uniform later this year and will welcome new A321LRs aircraft to our growing fleet.

It went from instant recognisable to generic.
I really liked the old livery, it was unique in a way and aswell as a history,
But this livery just looks like every other branded airline that Iusualy see every time in the airport,
It feels like as if it lost its own uniqueness in style.
Iâm gonna miss flying into Dublin and all the green planes lined up in a row

Surely just moving the blue line that was at the bottom of the windows and maybe adding a slight curve to it would have sufficed. This looks like so many liveries I've seen; Iberia, Qantas, New Lufthansa to name a few. I think that curving the blue line would have given the livery the modernising it needed. They say that less is more, but honestly, this just looks empty. Disappointed.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL !!!!!! No need at all. Aer Lingus had a magnificent livery, admired around the world. This is so second rate. Basically another white plane with a small shamrock. Sad day.
Orian 235 I didnât even know Aer Lingus existed until now. But if Iâm honest, new Livery is better, old one looks dated as if its from the 70âs. I am from literally the other side of the world and I definitely admire the new one more.

I can't believe wasting 2 minutes of my life seeing the new livery. It's really uninspired and not standing out. It's not going to attract passengers as much as the old one because the only colored part is the tail fin. It doesn't represent Ireland a lot either, putting a harp next the Aer Lingus name brand could be something. Also having white over the old green is lame and looks like being copied from other European liveries. My opinion is that the effort of doing the new livery is a waste, it looks like a ordinary airline, not being something to help you get more customers.
I prefer the old one.

I get it, Aer Lingus will have to maintain less often their aircraft's liveries but now your fleet looks like any other carrier and the Shamrock will not stand out in a busy airport anymore

To be honest it looks like every other livery out there...
Not a fan. It's another boring Livery that so many other Airlines are doing last few years. It has IAG written all over it. Why is the Shamrock now 3 hearts? and the new "g" in Aer Lingus is awful looking. AL have an iconic unique livery but they've now ruined it.

The old one was quite outdated and was in need of an update but this is just completely too far, thereâs barely any green left and it looks like liveries weâve all seen 1000 times before

well, pure lack of innovation in terms of design. Here are some other airlines using the same design concept. Westjet, Quantas, lufthansa, Iberia....and many more. Now aerlingus bring some connections to Poland after you are so refreshed

Please, please, please think twice about this livery. I hated it at first sight but told myself Iâd wait to see it in person before judging any further... I finally saw it at Heathrow the other day and itâs awful. I can see what youâre trying to do, but ext to the other beautiful modern liveries of Iberia, Air Canada, TAP and Lufthansa for example, this looks low cost and cheap. The colours arenât really Irish, and you are removing one of the most unique brands from our skies. To the social media team that is reading these comments, I donât expect a reply but I implore you to show this comment to a manager who can escalate to the Aer Lingus board. BA and Lufthansa to name two have admitted they got it wrong in the past and have bounced back no problem with better, revised liveries. Admit this was a mistake and try again. You have so many talented staff and fans who can design you a new livery completely for free without it costing you any more and before you paint any more planes.
Please, please, please think again!

Prefer the old livery
that blue/green color is what a lot of hospitals in the US use for scrubs, branding, all sorts of things.. now Aer Lingus makes me think of an old hospital... Green is synonymous with Ireland.. should have stuck with green.

I understand the disappointment of the people who love the now âoldâ livery and who will be nostalgic about it but guys donât be so pessimistic and negative. Itâs part of progress and evolution, living with your time. The previous livery did look kind of old indeed and I think itâs good that Aer Lingus decided to give a new fresh look to their airline and move on. Iâm sure they will keep a few of those liveries and call them âretroâ just like some other airlines did, so youâll still feel special when flying it. Honestly I wasnât a big fan of that old and dark green, but now the new design and livery with the shamrock looks fresh, modern and clean. It still says Aer Lingus, it still has green, it still has a shamrock, I donât see anything less Irish. Itâs still Irish, but up to date with its generation, and if you stop flying them or are less excited to visit Ireland because of a livery well Iâm sorry but you might want to review your priorities. This is just common sense, Iâm not even Irish and never flew on Aer Lingus despite I saw them everyday landing in Switzerland since I was a kid. Peace and cheers to the new look ! đ„

I wouldn't say that in my opinion. Flybe have a blue stripe at the bottom of the aircraft (undercarriage area) and Aer Lingus are green. Unless you're saying that Flybe are very white and Aer Lingus is too.

Guys do not be sad or angry it looks great when you compare it to other colours,aer lingus with red like Qantas won't fit . Aer lingus will always be great in every way possible . Aer lingus will always be a place in my mind :D

No thats not it. Aer Lingus has had a number of livery changes but this one does not fit at all! Most people can see it for what it is, a generic unimaginary look, it's got to change sooner rather than later, this look is a big mistake!
Boring as hell
All these people disliking it, I see why but on the other hand, itâs only the Livery that is changing, the airline stays the great airline that Aer Lingus is, the color is still unique because the tail section isnât a pure green rather a, darker shade which makes it different to other airlines, the front is generic yet I still like itâs basicity.
Seems like I wonât be a pilot in time for the green livery, probably will fly this livery on the A320neos coming in next few years!
