My dad passed away last month. I cannot describe the pain I felt that night. We did not get to say goodbye to each other. Neither from us in the family get to hear him say it, his heart just suddenly stopped beating. So sudden. It was too painful to see him breathe his last, thinking he can pull through. I just wish he was given more chance to fight. It hurts to understand why since it has just been a month, but I know God needed my dad more in Heaven. Maybe he is looking after us day by day as our angel now. How I wish I could hug him and tell him how much I love him. We never get to say goodbye because he will always be with me, with my family. I will see him soon... He will be there when it is my time ...

I was adopted when I was 3 but my father was always in my life when he could be. There was a time when he was never around, forgot birthdays, and didn't do his best to be a father. But he still tried and he's continuing to try now that I'm 19. We live quite away from each other and it makes it hard where I can see him very little. So we've always used the terms "see you later" because we never wanted to say goodbye. I've wondered what song to dance with him whenever I find the one, and I think I've found it. I've been lucky to have an amazing uncle to be my father and want a very special dance with him but my dad needs a dance too. I love him for trying!a
