    Retro sledding is where it's at! I can remember climbing hills on my Dad's old 335 Olympic with the throttle pinned..lol.

    Why I does this look like so much more fun than driving newer sleds doing the fact same thing?😂

    You guys are absolute legends. This video just proves that you don't need 800cc to have fun. I have two Yamaha bravos and they are a blast.

    • @MrDylanbrody
      @MrDylanbrody Před 2 lety

      I have a bravo as well! It was passed down through the family since new and I've had it since I was 8 or 9. It has been put away since I've got a bunch of indy wedges now but those bravos will put miles down on trails and and run literally forever

    I rode a 1968 ski doo Olympic 320 single cylinder 15” wide track. Rode on weekends then repaired during the week. Boogey wheel springs on track constantly broke. Groomed trails were just being thought about back then. Made your own trails thru the woods. Today’s wide front skis would have caught and broke with all the brush we drove thru. Probably more fun than the high speed trails nowadays.

    Stompin Tom playing in the beginning? Awesome vintage beasts. Unlike new sleds you actually have to know how to drive lean them corners. Great video

    Actually looks more fun then the new killer fast sleds.

  • @fouledplugsbluesmokegarage6585

    Awesome! I have a bunch of vintage sleds I do the same sort of driving with but don’t have anyone to tag along! Most ppl just collect them and never drive them around me. Haha was doing some drifting and doughnuts with my 250 big red yesterday in the snow!

      Dad bought me a brand new 73 ss250 in 74 (leftover). I was 12. Wasn’t long before I put a 24 hp 399 engine and a pair of long travel slides on it with a gear change. I was probably 100 pounds at the time. If I couldn’t go there no one could. Lol. Sure miss those days. Great videos, keep em coming. Thanks

    • @castironmachines
      @castironmachines  Před 2 lety

      John Deere and Elan yes, the red one is a Boa-ski. What do you mean by 18 or 12, horsepower?

    • @plantcitychuck2551
      @plantcitychuck2551 Před 2 lety

      horsepower.i think that's how they rated them back then.they later went to cc.if my memory serves me right.i forgot all about boa ski.long time ago so I may be wrong.there were some off brand sleds back in the 60s.

    • @castironmachines
      @castironmachines  Před 2 lety

      @@plantcitychuck2551 Oh for sure, lots of strange sleds made all over the place. I see what you mean by HP numbers, that makes sense
