I have two daughters. I sincerely hope that when they grow up they have as close a relationship as you two have. I think they are on the right path, I mean... the two of them already got the rage screaming down pat. LOL But seriously, it's warming to watch the two of you interact well and support each other.
Andrea, this is a serious comment coming from a 58 year old that has seen over 100 concerts. I wake up every morning to a siren in my right ear and a high pitched whistle in my left. Once I get up and moving, it calms down, but I always hear it. Hearing loss is no joke so protect your hearing and have fun!

Loved her reaction when Andrea said, "honestly, true" to "logic is not the strong trait women have". Don't worry, Alex, we know what's really true: logic is not the strong trait younger siblings have.
The outbursts don't mean she's crazy. They mean she has personality. Maybe there's a bit of eccentricity in there, but I think a smidgeon of harmless eccentricity is endearing.

Why so many mean comments? They, Gotham and Anna Cramling is the reason I've started playing.
When you have that large of an audience, there are bound to be some assholes in the bunch.
Bc there are a lot of jealous men who think the reason these two women are more successful than them, is because they got their success handed to them on a silver platter (for their looks). It soothes their ego to believe the botez sisters are untalented and undeserving rather than see that they are solid entertainers who have pushed out content consistently for years

Thank You both for making another candid video. For me (the old guy) most of these commments seem thoughtless and impulsive ... I am glad you both can work your way past them and again I hope that you both continue to do these videos for as long as you can ... I unironically would love to hear Andrea develop her singing! I think that raspy voice of hers would sound great belting out some soul (but maybe not Queen songs).
I was grinning and smiling all the way through this great video, and now my jaw is aching a bit. Also getting a bit loud if you lose at chess, just shows how much passion you have for the game.

Just found you guys on CZcams recently. Your videos are very entertaining. By the way, I have two daughters in their twenties - one married and one engaged - who live together. The couples share a house. It’s nice to see sisters who are also each others best friends.
Quite a delightful duo, even though I’ve watched only couple videos, I enjoyed the similarities and the contrast between your characters. Also you don’t use cheap appearance for clicks which honestly very rare nowadays.
You are both lovely, wholesome and seem like you have a lot of fun! How either of you could have a singular hater is crazy.

I love the comedy! 😀 I think you're both great! Alex is the smart one, and Andrea is the funny one, and I feel you're both good at the opposite, it's just where your strengths lay. I personally could do without Alex's raging, but I totally understand it. Only real issue is my own mental health issues not handling anger very well. But that's why I just turn the volume down for those moments and continue loving your content anyways

You gals are fun and this was entertaining. In fact, I enjoy pretty much all your videos. Now I'm going to sink back down into my 1600 to 1700 chess games (ugh). At 52, I'm pretty sure I've plateaued, which is the great thing about chess, it's still a ton of fun at most skill levels. Thanks for being bringing positive and fun attention to chess.

If I had to guess, most of the people who take their hate out on the sisters are really upset at the simp followers. Simp fishing has been going on for sometime within car enthusiasts and sport spaces for as long as I can remember. Men tend to be vulnerable to a woman who share the same hobbies. Maybe they dislike the feeling of being manipulated. Some men find the collaboration to be offputing and rather have the woman be either sexy or commited to the sport, not both. Perhaps these men don't like to mix the 2 things they love.
In fairness, simps are just as sexist and this is why these women will never date a subscriber. It must be nice for these ladies to be able to earn a nice living and not have to ever see these simps face to face.

I really tried not to write a hateful comment but after watching this video I have too. You two are the biggest sister duo playing chess on CZcams with last names rhyming with otez. And that takes a lot of work. You two are really inspiring, hope you know that :)

these videos are always fun, and know what i'm gonna say is with love, care, and high regard for what you've done and how you've been at the forefront of making chess cool. so, gonna give some honest and constructive feedback. i like you guys and it'd be great if you could be able to do even better on youtube, both in terms of audience engagement and your own fun! as always take it with a grain of salt cause you know the right standards to discern better from worse, and knowing what's right for you. the three main kinds of videos i see featuring you two on youtube are podcast appearances (Lex....and others), chess match videos, and these kinds of sit-down, get to know us videos. most of them resemble older 2015-2016 style youtube videos. i know the whole brand you've built is chess personalities, and sticking to that is essential for building up a marketable, recognizable identity and brand, but a brand and an identity isn't a prison though. the people who watch your stuff now mostly are here for your personalities and the chess educational aspect is part of that, but it isn't the only part. it's good to at least know that there's definitely room to experiment with formats and to do non-chess related premises if you want to. Look at KSI for example, perhaps as a good model for emulation. He hasn't boxed himself in *pun intended*. he doesn't let his professional identity get in the way of his personal aspirations. His character, his resiliency, and his grit are what makes him so likeable. Andrea aspiring to be a DJ and taking these interests in boxing and music is a key thing to do. this is my amateur take on the matter. My whole point is to simply consider what kind of new, experimental, and creative formats and styles you can bring to the videos. it's always good to have the ol reliables in the back pocket, but rather than copy and paste formats that are reliable, engaging and fun, i think a lot of your youtube content could benefit from playing with non-chess based videos, like this one. the vlog style tourist stuff was fun. it's a tight rope walk, and i think it shouldn't stray into the extreme where it's just variety content, but it's also good to consider if you guys could benefit from playing with content beyond the chess streamer realm. idk, doing you and listening to yourself is always number one. you guys toe the line between internet personalities and chess celebrities, and you've done a good job of it.

Just think the opposite of whatever that the comment sections are giving or what then think somewhere in the middle and that is where you all are at. Never as bad but never as good. Been watching these girls for a week now - really funny and interesting. I've found them through Anna Cramling's videos, whose videos I do not know how I ran into the last month. And I did not expect to be intrigued by chess game videos, but this genre of streaming is appealing.
