Thanks this was enormously helpful in deciding whether I could install it myself....pretty sure I can do it without any issue, but would rather figure that out before I buy it!
I fitted one as well, awesome sound, especially at full throttle! The bracket is suppose to go on the cable clamp (pull that out), you can put a bolt in from inside the fender. It seems to pull the entire assembly a slight bit of to the left and down compared to where things were (and finding the right orientation was a bit difficult), but it is acceptable tension I think.
Great sound isnt it ? 😃 cant get tired of it ! Oh great to have another point of view regarding this support bracket, the installation instructions are not clear! Looks like the instructions show it installed on the strut tower, atleast my instructions were like that lol! I’m curious to see yours, do you have a picture somewhere, Instagram maybe ?
@@PyreneesBMW awesome sound. Initially I thought: is this all? As it is quite normal if you drive slowly or with limited throttle. But at full throttle it is insatiably sucking air in. Expensive, but worth it. I don’t actually use instagram unfortunately. I did mean the clamp that is also on the tower, but lower that the protruding bolt from the factory assembly.
This looks cool, but where is it getting the air from!?! The stock box is perfectly set up to suck air directly from the front. This new set up is directed directly into a metal beam. Does not make much sense to me.
Exactly, the air isn’t sucked up like it is with the stock airbox ! I did not feel any difference though, works great and beautiful sound, but for the best results you will need a blind headlight ( with a hole sucking air inside ), or other solution, a reworked air duct from the Mtech Bumper, which im planning to do since i don’t like the blind headlight look! It will be posted on the Channel if you are interested :) thanks for your comment !
@@PyreneesBMW yeah, I think the best solution would be to have an air duct coming in through the bumper. I doesn't look like there is much space though.
@@PyreneesBMW i just ordered my Gruppe M intake 2 days ago, they said it may take 4 weeks til it ships out to me, is that normal?! how long did it take for your intake to arrive?

Hello! Possible qu’il en rentre un petit peu oui entre le phare et le capot! Mais ça doit être relativement faible.. je pense qu’elle en mange plus à haute vitesse par le conduit que j’ai rajouté qui va de l’écope de frein du pare choc jusqu’au bas de l’admission, en passant derrière le phare
@@PyreneesBMWahh yes je vois, et t’as jamais eu de problèmes du coup ? J’imagine que tu changes me filtres régulièrement du coup comme c’est plus exposé

@@ZAKU-GD yes it is, it was even longer for mine, they are built in Japan and I think there is only a few in stocks,
who need to be shipped etc etc..
Read your Error codes with Inpa and you will see that (LMM) ist broken. Lmm= air mass sensor.
Air mass sensor is working perfectly, no error codes stored!
Surprised Gruppe M decided to work with Tegiwa, given they knocked off the Gruppe M air intakes for the EP3/DC5! Mind you, any business is business!
