A typhoon has knocked out the power in Jurassic Park!
Start the new dino defender helicopter!
HEY!
Build the dino defender helicopter!
And off to the rescue!
Flip the circuit breakers!
Tranquilise the carnivores!
And print the pages!
Yea i’d buy this lego set
gotta love how they wanted you to waste all your printer cartridges on some get well cards after putting you through that game.
I totally had this game in elementary school and absolutely printed out those cards at the end.
The narrator sounds exactly like a GDQ couch commentator's rendition- it actually took me a few seconds to realize it wasn't someone reading the manual.
Also I really, really like the aesthetic of this game. Very comfy.
I thought it was the main joke of the run, like "haha the narration was provided by our good friend" but no, it's the real deal!
Can you really call it complete if you don't print out the pages at the end?
I had this game as a kid. I didn’t remember why I didn’t finish it. Watching it being played, I suddenly remembered...
Best thing about GDQ is I watch speed runs of games I will never play and it expands my gaming universe.
12:55 That roar!!👍🦖
Glad to know that one dinosaur has the same elephant sound as that dragon from Suikoden
As someone who played Dino Defender all the time as a kid and who watched Winslinator's speedrun before, seeing everyone else just be baffled at the game was very entertaining
When I was a kid I think I spent more time playing with the little Spinosaurus desktop helper that came with this game than I did the actual game. If you tried to catch him in the net he'd break free, you had to tranq him first!
I never played this game, but the nostalgia hit me pretty hard. I had played Jurassic Park III: Danger Zone. Danger Zone is a Mario Party type game with elements from this game dragged into that one. The opening cut-scene is basically the same. 9:10 was a mini game where you could receive supplies. The first level up to the swimming section was another mini-game. All of the death animations are reused. One thing that Danger Zone had that this game didn't is a pile of dino dung you can get stuck in.
17:18 conGRATULATIONS!
As a kid, I'd probably have loved this game if I got my hands on it...
THE MENUS
THE NARRATOR
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH MY CHILDHOOD
I had this game as a kid and I’m ashamed to say I was scared by it
Anyone else have this game break they computer as a kid? For me, it would have this dinosaur walk across the screen that you could get rid of and when you tried to click the dino would scream.
Oh my God I played the absolute crap out of this game as a kid I never thought I would see it ever again
awful block best block
All credit to the speed runner, that said, holy crap is this game ever non-sequitorial garbage.
Thank you for the nostalgia. My dad bought this game for me when I was younger but I never got around to beating it.
Holy shit I loved this game as a kid, and seeing this unlocked a whole new part of my memory I forgot about
These runs are the best :D
This new Oddworld game looks kinda bad
this game reminded me a lot of Heart of Darkness for ps1 too
Plays like Heart of Darkness which was a good game.
It also reminds me a lot of the oddworld games and another world, but yeah in the stuff that's also in HoD
It's like they started in on an incompetent remake of Dark Castle, then got bored after a month and pasted dinosaurs in.
I think I played this game. That opening certainly seems familiar. The game itself not so much. My guess is I gave up shortly after starting the game and the intro is the only thing that stuck in my mind.
It is nice to see new games every time
Oh man! I remember 100% completing this game as a kid!
Oh my God, I remember playing this game as a kid and not being able to get past the 3rd screen for the longest time.
It's not a bad game at all, and I don't say this because of nostalgia. Had this one as a kid, loved everything and every moment of it. The fact they lighten the style compared to the real movie really made the game more appealing to play. There are no glitches when playing normally, there is interesting gameplay, the music is really neat. Got disappointed to see how some people can trash games so blindly. Fortunaly, ironically showing up all these "bad" games revitalised them in a good way, thanks to real players ❤
I was ROCKETED to elementary school when I saw the printable cards at the end.
I can't get over the squeaky toy noise the main character makes whenever they jump
Why does this game feels like it came out in 1998 and not in 2001 lol
wow I had this growing up and totally forgot about it. I'm sure I never made it past the caves though
I just started the video and this feels like this was supposed to be a different game and they slapped the Jurassic Park name on it
aw i actually had this one as a kid. i remember liking it
"Mom, can we get Oddworld?"
"We have Oddworld at home."
Oddworld at home:
Wow i played all the Jurassic Park games at my friend's house. This is surreal seeing this again
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GAAAAAME? DID IT COME IN A CEREAL BOX?
that Tyrannosaurus rex is way to big
Markus Nävergård not to mention the Spino. And the Raptors, even for JP standards. Those things are bigger than Deinonychus!
Good job
DINO DEFENDER! This was totally my first computer game
It's as shit as I remember.
I remember playing this game as a kid! XD
Game actually looks sweet
This kind of looks like a game that would be in a cereal box.
When I saw the intro... I knew it.
I used to have the demo for my Dad's old iMac. I could never beat any of it... now I just realise it was a bad game.
The choices are yours and YOURS ALONE!
Best game.
Thats similar to Danger Zone
I love Danger Zone
Man I had not thought about that game in so long until I heard the narrator’s voice and now I wish I could play it again
hello childhood
I hope the narrator got paid a lot for this game.
Omg I remember this and I loved it x,D
Discount oddworld
I played this game too much as a child
Looks like a cereal box game
HD Remaster now!!!!
Abe's Oddysee was really popular at the time, guys.
Or...3 years previously to this, anyway.
What is this jank?? I want more of it.
Had this game and Jurassic Park Dinosaur Battles back when I was younger, personally I liked Dinosaur Battles better. Never tried Danger Zone though
I wished the troubled production of Jurassic Park 3 never happen in 2001
What is that sound at 1:20? I KNOW I've heard it in a different game...! Like... a warp sound effect from an SRPG, maybe???
Sonic Adventure 2, it plays in the intro before the song starts
Really reminds me of the screen wrap from Super Friends (the old Justice League show). But gaming wise, it sounds similar to the noise at the beginning of random encounters in Final Fantasy games.
How on earth did they get the license for this.
Jurassic Park III: What if Heart of Darkness was a piece of crap?
This game is clearly meant for kids and yet those death animations are absolutely terrifying.
